Objetivos: En la actualidad existen diversas opciones de prótesis de mano, sin embargo, ninguna de ellas es adecuada para la utilización de teclados, debido a la lentitud o falta de movimientos adecuados. En este trabajo se plantea una prótesis de mano de bajo costo, controlada por señales electromiográficas, con diseño específico para el uso de teclados de computadora.Metodología: Se analizaron los datos antropométricos de la población mexicana, los requerimientos de fuerza y las diferentes opciones de materiales, transmisión de movimientos y adquisición y análisis de señales EMG, para proponer una prótesis capaz de interactuar con teclados.Resultados: Se presenta el diseño de una prótesis de mano para fabricarse por medio de impresión 3D, que cumple con las características de fuerza y velocidad necesarias como para mejorar la interfaz entre usuario y teclados de computadora.Relevancia: Existen muchas prótesis, pero la mayoría son costosas y diseñadas para trabajos pesados o complejos que hacen a las prótesis lentas, pesadas y costosas. Aquí se presenta una opción para prótesis de mano de uso específico para el uso de teclados.

En este artículo se presenta el modelo matemático base de la reflectometría hexaportal. Con una intención didáctica, se explica brevemente la historia de la reflectometría hexaportal y enseguida se detallan a cabalidad todas sus ecuaciones fundamentales. Posteriormente se presentan algunas estructuras hexaportales muy utilizadas, se elige una y se analizan sus características. Se presentan algunas aplicaciones de las redes hexaportales y sus diversas aplicaciones actuales. Con base en el material investigado se confirma que la reflectometría es un área con gran potencial en múltiples aplicaciones actuales, incluyendo su aportación en la docencia de las microondas.

  El rol del docente a nivel universitario pasó de enseñar a sus estudiantes a dejar aprender, en este contexto las estrategias educativas juegan un rol fundamental en el proceso de formación educativa. Evaluar como la aplicación de estrategias educativas permite mejorar la enseñanza y el aprendizaje en alumnos de carreras empresariales, realizando un estudio comparativo en dos universidades latinoamericanas, es el objetivo del artículo científico. El diseño del estudio tiene una investigación transversal, con enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, con alcance a nivel descriptivo; se realizó una investigación documental y de campo a través del uso de encuestas aplicadas a estudiantes universitarios de carreras de negocios en la Universidad CESMAG (Nariño - Colombia) y Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (Riobamba – Ecuador), efectuado el primer semestre del año 2019. Los resultados revelaron que las estrategias didácticas utilizadas en el aula permiten a los docentes un desempeño entre excelente y muy bueno, en las Universidad CESMAG (77%) y en la ESPOCH (70%), a través de la aplicación de estrategias didácticas. Se concluye por tanto que las estrategias educativas son variables transversales que ayudan a mejorar el proceso educativo en apoyo del alumnado.

En el Ecuador, todos los días existen acontecimientos trágicos en las vías, los mismos que, causan muertes y lesionados, sin considerar los daños materiales, pérdidas económicas y generación de altos costos en la atención de emergencias y de salud. Se propone diferenciar los términos: “accidente” como un hecho casual que no se puede prevenir, enfocado en consecuencias incontrolables; y, “siniestro” como un hecho causal, prevenible, enfocado a prevención controlable. El estudio es: a) Observacional, la información es tomada de la base de datos de la Agencia Nacional de Tránsito; y, reportes proporcionados por el ECU911, b) Retrospectivo, c) Es un estudio transversal, todas las variables (accidentes, siniestros, muertes, lesionados), d) Descriptivo, el estudio solamente se realiza a la variable analítica siniestralidad. Determinadas las posibles causas de los siniestros, se manifiesta que el 87,72% del total, se concentra únicamente en 11 causas, las que, con un programa agresivo de Seguridad Vial, se podría reducir las muertes y lesiones. Esto se relaciona con la investigación cualitativa, en la que la población indica que las principales causas es la infraestructura vial, educación de los usuarios y el respeto. Es responsabilidad de todos el contribuir para prevenir los siniestros de tránsito y reducir al máximo la pérdida de vidas por esta causa.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the psychosocial factors of influence in the purchase decision process of the users of car insurance policies, to answer the question, what are the psychosocial factors that influence the decision process for the purchase of insurance policies. car insurance? The question raised was addressed through the qualitative analysis of data stolen in the development of a focus group, in which the subjects constituted as reporting units, could freely express their perspective as buyer-users of different insurance companies located in the city of Maracaibo from Zulia state. Among the conclusions are that the users of car insurance policies generally make their purchase decision when they are previously stimulated by the recommendations of a credible or trusted person; they would even prefer to carry out a purchase or repurchase action without having a prior evaluation of the conditions and the added value in the services offered by the insurance company.

The deep transformation the current world is undergoing, especially due to the increasingly rapid introduction of new technologies, means that organizations and companies, regardless of their size and the direction of their business, require the administration of people who possess skills that until recently were ignored, which also evolve to the rhythm of social demands and markets. The objective of this work is to know the most demanded skills the organizations ask from the people in charge of their administration. With this aim, a systematic mapping of existing literature was used. The results show that, regardless of the technical training, the skills that should be more present in a manager revolve around their suitability to interrelate with the people that make up the organization and that the leadership characteristic, appears more frequently among the skills required lately

The objective of this research is to determine the situation and role of the Social Sector, as well as the State Policies that should be promoted for inclusion in the development of the Peruvian people. The quantitative method (surveys), qualitative (in-depth interviews) and the Delphi technique were combined with experts, the sample was chosen with an intentional non-probabilistic criterion. The role of the Social Sector in the development of Peru is identified, emphasizing the multiple systems from an integral vision of society that focuses on the personal and global development of Peruvians and on different problems that exist due to social fragmentation, urban violence, poverty, among others. The strategies of public policies of the State for their inclusion must be: First, the full knowledge of their shortcomings and demands in the social sector that seeks to progress, verifying opportunities for personal and employment growth in equal opportunities. Second, consider the relevance of this sector as a foundation for the economic, administrative, educational, health, and security contexts to develop in the attainment of an affable social system with values, equality, equity and justice.

The objective of this research is to demonstrate the abilities and potential of people with visual disabilities of the members of the Center for Special Popular Education of the Association of the Non-Seers of Imbabura and the proposals of undertakings developed by the students of the Business Administration Course of Uniandes Ibarra. For the development of the research, a census was conducted through a survey applied to the 58 adult members of the Center for Specialized Popular Education of Imbabura. In addition, a sample of 351 inhabitants of the city of Ibarra was surveyed to gather information about the support they would offer to entrepreneurships of blind people. It was determined that a low percentage of blind people  receive some kind of economic aid from the government, there is poor labor inclusion in local companies , groups of blind people were identified who have been trained and have experience in product sales, crafts manufacturing and food preparation. It was also evidenced the will of the community to prioritize the consumption of products and services undertaken by blind people, as well as interest by the municipal authorities of the city of Ibarra and private floricultural farms to become strategic allies in the execution of the productive projects.

The quality of the service is a demand that customers demand in products and services, the research objective was to relate the culture of service and the perception of quality in SMEs of gastronomic services (restaurants), in the city of Riobamba, province of Chimborazo- Ecuador, 2017. The quantitative-qualitative approach, exploratory-descriptive level, documentary and field research, non-experimental-transversal design, the inductive-deductive, analytic-synthetic and systemic methods, the survey technique and the instrument a structured questionnaire for identify the service culture and customer quality perceptions. Two study samples were applied, the first 120 gastronomic SMEs, the second 398 clients. The results demonstrated a significant relationship between the Service Culture (CS) and the Perception of Service Quality (PCS). It was based on the SERVQUAL model, with 5 indicators (empathy, tangible elements, response capacity, safety and reliability), 32 items were evaluated, the reliability of the instrument with the Alpha-de-Cronbach (0,899), the Spearman Correlation ( r = 0,593) positive-moderate-strong relationship in the variables, later the gap analysis was applied with the following result: empathy (-1,67); tangible elements (-1,52); responsiveness (-1, 29); security (-1,20); reliability (-0,82). It is concluded that the results obtained propose improvement strategies to meet the demands, demands and needs of customers of gastronomic PYMEs.

This research is based on concepts of maintenance in recent years, epistemologically speaking industrial maintenance is the set of preventives, predictive or corrective tasks in order to have a machine or a system of machines in optimal conditions for operation at lower cost. The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between corrective maintenance and proactive maintenance of mechanical equipment for hydrocarbon transport in Ecuador. A new maintenance theory called proactive is defined which is executed by a computer system, which in reality is a software that uses algorithms for the concatenation between both corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance joining them in a single program, resulting in a optimization of maintenance in mechanical systems of hydrocarbon transport. The methodology used is quantitative approach; The type of applied research is documentary and experimental, the observation in situ provided information as the first source. The most important results are the improvement in failure stops, cost reduction, savings, maintenance optimization in mechanical systems of hydrocarbon transport that have given sustainable development to the company and the country.
