Els nens que reben diagnòstics de trastorns de l’espectre de l’autisme (TEA) mostren trajectòries de desenvolupament lingüístic atípiques, sobretot en els seus primers 2-3 anys de vida. En aquest article, veurem com en aquests nens s’alteren qualitativament precursors i mecanismes essencials per a aquest desenvolupament, i també com nous mètodes d’investigació estan aportant dades que demanen canvis profunds en la manera d’abordar teòricament l’estudi dels mecanismes que fan possible als nens l’accés al món de les paraules.

In the last twenty years, a large number of studies have focused on understanding the brain mechanisms that support the learning of both language and music. Both language and music develop over time, based on individual phonic elements that are combined to form longer, more complex structures, following specific rules that allow the construction of expectations. Questions regarding whether music can improve acquisition of the mother tongue or facilitate the processing of specific aspects of language are of great interest, both for fundamental research, which informs us about the general functioning of the brain, and more clinical research, using music as a diagnostic or rehabilitation tool for children with learning disorders. In this article I review the relationship between the perception of language and music in the first years of life, describing the developmental trajectories of both perceptive abilities. I also present the limited evidence that demonstrates the positive effect of early musical stimulation on language processing, emphasizing the role of singing in the initial stages of acquisition of the mother tongue.

Aquí exponemos algunos apuntes con fundamento en eventos realizados en el 2012, tales como el XI Congreso de la Asociación Latinoamericana de Investigadores de la Comunicación ALAIC[1], el XIV Encuentro de la Federación Latinoamericana de Facultades de Comunicación Social -FELAFACS[2] y el Encuentro Nacional de Investigación en Comunicación[3]. La revisión de las temáticas propuestas, en estos espacios, así como del número de ponencias presentadas por tema en ALAIC, permite algunos apuntes para la reflexión.

This article is based on the considerations made for the final work of postdoctoral research in Communication Studies to Regional Development at the UNESCO` Chair /UMESP [Brazil] and analyzes the latest interactive digital content industry that has been thought in Latin America and Caribbean, particularly in countries like Brazil, Argentina and Colombia. The study is based on a transdisciplinary view, from Edgar Morin and Jesus Martin-Barbero, based in Communication Studies, Economics and Management to account for the mainstreaming of the topic that includes the promotion of research and production centers interactive digital content, in turn, is directly related to digital communication and technology development.
