The aim of this paper is to contribute to the debate on how policies for the reception and integration of immigrants and refugees should be implemented in rural depopulated areas. The research focuses on three Aragonese counties with a high rate of foreign population. We consider that the peculiarities of rural depopulated areas are sufficiently important to modulate and adapt more general policies or implement some specific ones. It is concluded that an adaptation of norms and strategies is needed, based on aspects of a more qualitative order in terms of inclusive values than economic aspects and specific legislative support.

This article analyzes the similarities of the current situation of high inflation with various historical episodes in order to draw lessons for economic policies. To do this, macroeconometric techniques are used to identify demand and supply shocks in the United States and assess whether the latter are useful in predicting recessions. The results suggest that the economic effects of the determinants of supply shocks could be different today.

Since mid-2021, the rise in headline inflation in Spain and in the euro area has been as strong and lasting as at any time in the last forty years. This development is mainly explained by the persistently high prices of energy and non-energy commodities —which have been further boosted by the war in Ukraine— and by various factors related, directly or indirectly, to the COVID-19 pandemic. This article provides a detailed analysis of this inflationary process and explores its main causes.

The paper analyses the contribution of the Blue Economy to population balance and economic and territorial development in the Canary Islands, taking as a reference the relative presence of these activities at the local level. It is concluded that these activities are a population anchor in certain depopulated areas as well as their diversification in populated areas. It is also confirmed the transversality and synergies between these activities that make up blue settlement ecosystems of mixed sizes.

The global increase in the prices of energy products has been a key element in the ongoing inflationary process. In this situation, both the European and national institutions have been adopting various measures to try to reduce the impact of the growth in energy prices, especially in the electricity and gas markets. In this paper, after comparing the evolution of prices in Spain with other neighboring countries, the measures adopted and the effects associated with them are analysed.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic caused the disruption of the normal functioning of European economies. The European Union reacted to this eventuality, and its economic consequences, in a uniquely rapid and effective manner and, in addition to other common emergency instruments, agreed on an investment mechanism unprecedented in its amount —around 800 billion euros— and in its financing, through the issuance of debt by the European Commission. The context of Russia's invasion of Ukraine is an added stumbling block to economic growth in an environment of inflationary pressures. In this respect, the implementation and execution of the various recovery and resilience plans are all the more important.

In this paper, we analyze the employment situation in rural areas, emphasizing the importance of the family structure. To do this, we use the microdata from the Continuous Household Survey from 2014 to 2020. Through the estimation of different probability models, we show that family characteristics are determinants of employability, but above all, of rural labor participation; additionally confirming that women in rural areas have a low probability of being employed.

Smart cities have urban environments, which try to use the modern ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The purpose of this paper is to assess how sustainability is developed in intelligent and unpopulated areas of Europe. In conclusion, we think that a sustainable intelligent city requires the elaboration of a city plan agreed with the different political formations and interest groups.

El presente artículo aborda el tema de las medidas socieducativas que se implementan en el Ecuador para evitar la reincidencia de los adolescentes en conflicto con la ley una vez que su responsabilidad ha sido determinada a través del debido proceso. En estos casos los infractores son conminados a la restauración con el uso de medidas con el fin de establecer un correctivo proporcional al daño efectuado que a su vez eduque para la prevención de algún nuevo cometimiento de la conducta indebida. El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue determinar las fortalezas y deficiencias jurídicas de las medidas usadas por el sistema socioeducativo para lograr la rehabilitación de menores infractores en Ecuador. Se realizó un análisis jurídico de las medidas socioeducativas tipificadas en el Ecuador para esclarecer su eficacia frente a la proporcionalidad del delito de la población estudiada. Se utilizó el método analítico crítico con enfoque cualitativo capaz de interpretar el contexto jurídico en el que la realidad estudiada se presenta siguiendo el diseño no experimental. Los resultados obtenidos ofrecen una postura argumentativa, pero fundamentada teóricamente en la doctrina y en las normas jurídicas que tienen relación con las medidas socioeducativas para la rehabilitación de menores infractores en Ecuador. Se trata de una investigación documental y descriptiva, que no incide en los fenómenos observados para cambiar su manifestación real y se emplearon técnicas como la construcción de ficheros digitales y el método selectivo de información.

El presente estudio responde a la percepción de que existen problemas de agresividad en los estudiantes universitarios en la Universidad Nacional de Tumbes; por esta razón, el objetivo general fue determinar la relación entre los estilos de socialización parental y la agresividad en estudiantes de la facultad de ciencias sociales de una universidad de Tumbes, 2022. En el aspecto metodológico, fue un estudio cuantitativo, con finalidad básica y alcance descriptivo, con un diseño descriptivo correlacional; contó con una muestra compuesta por 216 alumnos de las cuatro escuelas profesionales que integran la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales. Con los resultados que se alcanzaron se pudo concluir que los estilos de socialización parental se relacionan significativamente con la agresividad en alumnos que participaron en el estudio; esto se corroboró con la aplicación del Rho de Spearman cuyo coeficiente fue de 0,228 y una p<0,05, por lo que se rechazó la hipótesis nula y se aceptó la hipótesis alternativa
