For this purpose, a survey of 306 Facebook users in Colombia was conducted. Data were analyzed using an SEM-PLS model using Smartpls 3 software. The communication field features a majority of female professionals; however, their professional situation is uneven. This inequality is against the development of values in society and the necessary legitimacy of companies and organizations. Gender discrepancies in the profession include differences in hiring, salaries, and promotions, as shown by recent quantitative and qualitative studies on the wage gap, the glass ceiling, low wages, and a lack of women in senior management, such as CEO and corporate management positions. This research aims to empirically analyze the gender differences in the communication management profession in Spain. Thus, we present four gender problems identified by previous works, which have never been systematically and globally studied in Spain: the so-called feminization of the profession, wage discrimination, the glass ceiling, and factors external to the organization where professionals work. Data based on two groups of professional surveys are statistically analyzed, observing that these problems also affect the profession in Spain.

Video games have burst into prominence in today’s society and have revolutionized how we interact with machines. This article deals with emotional design and immersion in story-driven video games. The primary purpose is to discuss emotional design and immersion regarding the central characters of the video game Detroit: Become Human (Quantic Dream, 2018), which are three androids named Markus, Connor, and Kara. The main result shows that the design of this video game enables the player to experience the conflicts posed by the story-driven system, which facilitates emotional immersion beyond the cognitive experience, thus confirming that the video game is a powerful medium for promoting a humanist position.

The article presents a proposal for social intervention with populations that have been direct or indirect victims of the armed conflict, based on the Storytelling methodology. This seeks to favor the processes of reconciliation and social recomposition and to promote a reconfiguration of the life projections of these communities. A meticulous description of the implemented methodology is presented, as a Conflict Transformation tool, with the objective that different national and international communities can benefit from it in their processes, since, although the proposal is built in the post-conflict situation in Colombia, the experience can be extrapolated to diverse spatial and population contexts. The proposal is made up of five stages of intervention: contextualization, evocation and memory, storytelling, externalization, and evaluation and monitoring. The first phase focuses on the identification of the community with which it is going to work, the recognition of its context, the establishment of bridges of trust and the foundation of strategies that allow to develop the exercise under the premise of “Do no Harm”; in the second, it seeks to carry out an exercise of memory and expression that contributes to individual healing; the third focuses on the scriptural process, through which the transformation of the conflict is promoted, on a personal and collective level; the fourth focuses on the projection of narratives in different textual, artistic and productive lines and, finally, the fifth constitutes the due monitoring and recognition of the progress of the population group participating in the process.

The objective of this article is to describe the importance of shared readings as practices for building interactive relationships and constructors of reciprocity. Likewise, interaction is presented, through tales, as tools to understand and think about the world in a dialogical and intersubjective key, for which the shared reading of narratives are proposed as possibilities for the development of human capabilities (Nussbaum, 2006), understood as essential parts of a social theory. In this way, the role of collaborative reading is understood for the development of skills to synthesize, describe, narrate, organize and think, but also to develop emotions, assess environments and stimulate the construction of knowledge, autonomy and argumentation. Thus, the performance of shared reading of texts is defined as a practice of language learning and rediscovery of reality and the different ways of living in the world.

This article is derived from an investigation called Didactic Strategies used by English teachers for the use and enjoyment of learning in it. Part of the need to identify innovative teaching strategies for teaching and learning the language. In the methodology, a qualitative research bet was made from the perspective of documentary review, using specialized databases such as Redalyc, Dialnet, Scielo, Ebsco and Google academic. In relation to the results, it is found that there is a loss of the motivation link for learning English, because the school context tends to become the only place where the child can build and practice an idea of English, which is linked to the classroom experience that is not transversal with other social environments and therefore the teaching and learning of English, are limited by the didactic strategies that are implemented in the school context.
