Resumen
The fate of Marcela, mother of Guzmán de Alfarache, is a broken mirror where the times of splendor and decadence merge, it is a reflection of what she was, and could have achieved, and a bitter anticipation of any further limitation that the rogue son will experience. Since the tragic nature of the second abandonment in which the mother will be exposed and unprotected by her son reverberates guilt in the evocation of the galley slave writer of a biblical paraphrase (Luke, 23, 31) that he only judges relevant to him when he falls, much younger, in disgrace: 'if this is how I feel about this job, if this happens on the green wood, what will the dry one do?'(II, 3, 8).
In the throes of the narrated biographical adventure, the contextual and elusive figuration of the elderly mother whispers that the fading of a differential discourse about her old age must be refined from multiple angles: the gender difference, the diverse assessment of the family constituents and the age distance of each. Since in this constellation of significant tensions what is settled, with Marcela's vignettes decrepit, are the margins of freedom and agency that each culture is willing to pay tribute to their elders.

Resumen
In this article we postulate that Juegos de la edad tardía by Luis Landero works the narrative spatiality from two points of view: a) the critical one, which supposes reading the lives of childhood as unfinished stories of the life of an artist and b) the literary one, which deepens in the manner of a rhizome the possible narratives that emerge from a larger operation, literary metafiction, understood as “oxymoron play” between reality effect and fiction. This hypothesis, in turn, conveys a larger metaphor: that of the ideological mythologizing of Catholic Nationalism, which in palimpsest terms can be read through the festive scenery of peace ideologeme under Francoism by the notion of “spatialized time”. The article is structured in three sections: an introduction, a development of the hypothesis that explains the two points of view and a conclusion.

Resumen
In this article, we analyze Poemas de Tristia (1982) and El jardín extranjero (1983) by Luis García Montero (Granada, 1958) and Aquelarre en Madrid (1983) and Gran vía (1990) by Fernando Beltrán (Oviedo, 1956) from the category we call figurations of childhood or imaginative drawings of childhood (Sierra, 2021).
This selection of texts allows us to establish some meeting points between their particular poetics because in both cases, from their initial publications, childhood is present. In García Montero's poetics, it is linked to the description of the fabric of the city of his birth and to the images of the Spanish postwar period, and in Beltrán's case, it is linked to the wandering through different spaces in Madrid. In this line, we read the crossing of a visible childhood and an imaginary childhood that is projected from the poems.

Resumen
Paris-Austerlitz is a novel that Rafael Chirbes wrote between 1996 and 2015, and it was published in 2016, a few months after the writer's death. It narrates a love story between a young man from Madrid and an adult migrant. The story takes place in Paris and it´s relationship traversed by the affects caused by AIDS. The revulsion and fear of contagion appear as the affects for a writing that takes the narrator almost twenty years of interruption and silence. From a perspective that prioritizes the inscription of the affects with the HIV virus is named, this work analyzes how Paris-Austerlitz shows the silences of an epidemic that operated in Spain in a singular way: distinguishing between the lives traversed by the disease, which in the framework of the culture of the Transition would be silenced, because they represented an aging voice and body for the future democratic citizenry.

Resumen
In the Spanish literary tradition, the question about the effects of age and the reflection on the fleeting nature of time occupy prominent places as topics. However, in terms of the story, the condition of old age is not always strictly limited to the old age of a voice. On the contrary, the valences associated with maturity are transformed and acquire specific characteristics at different times in history. In this sense, the purpose of this paper is to reflect on old age as a platform for narrative inquiry about the nuances of a threatening otherness. In this way, if old age is anchored in biological decline, old age will be sustained by an imaginary built by representations on which literature will explore in order to dismantle them. Our hypothesis maintains that the effect of this process of disarticulation is a radical discussion on two fundamental aspects: chronomativity as an arbitrary condition (Solana, 2016) and the capacity of the body as an imposition of a "mandatory bodily integrity" (Moscoso, 2009; McRuer , 2021) revealing, finally, the power of mistime.

Resumen
The work of Juan José Millás fits easily into the debates about the scope of the metafictional and its modulations such as autofictional writing. This autofigurative process already practiced by the Valencian author in texts such as El mundo (2007), finds in the publication of La vida a ratos (2019) a new questioning exercise, this time oriented towards the writing of a diary of old age.
In this paper we analyze the specific marks of this categorization from its relationship with other textual species with which it dialogues, such as the aforementioned autofiction, antifiction and the writer's diary. We also wonder about the possibility of reading this fiction as an example of a late style.

Resumen
The ecology of ophidians has not widely studied in the Antilles region. Besides, is not well known about the daily activity patterns of species that inhabit this area, as well as the way in which environmental factors such as temperature, rainfall and food availability affect their activity. Cienfuegos Botanical Garden has an abundant population of Tropidophis melanurus (Schlegel, 1837). For this study, random transect of 1 km long by four meters of width were made. The samplings were carried out with a frequency of a monthly visit to the studying area, extending over a year, and various data were taken from the individuals observed, such as their activity or inactivity, total length and sex.
The samplings were carried out with a frequency of a monthly visit to the studying area, extending over a year, and various data were taken from the individuals observed, such as their activity or inactivity, total length and sex. The daily activity data was grouped in 2 month blocks to facilitate their analysis. The chi cuadrado (X2) test was used to compare the abundance of the species between the dry and rainy seasons. The highest numbers of active individuals were recorded in the first hours of the night. The months of greatest activity were august and september, while the lowest activity was recorded during the months of april and may. The activity of the species in the rainy and dry periods was very similar, and factors such as temperature seem not to have special relevance in such behavior. However, rainfall seems to have a greater influence on activity in the species.

Resumen
For the first time family Hemisarcoptidae and the non-native astigmatid mite Hemisarcoptes cooremani Thomas, 1961 is reported in the Cuban archipelago from heteromorphic deutonymphs (= hypopus), attached to pupae and one larva of Chilocorus cacti L. (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae), on Carica papaya L. crops located at Segundo Frente municipality, Santiago de Cuba province. The morphology of hypopus is well illustrated and described, as well as its location on the body of C. cacti first instars, a poorly approached behavior related with the phoretic and mutualist interactions between these two species, herein detected from early growth stages, a scarcely reported behavior. This mite-beetle association offers new strategies in order to apply better strategies for biological pest control programs in Cuba, mainly against scale insects.

Resumen
Most of the Hispaniolan species of the genus Eleutherodactylus lack quantitative descriptions of their advertisement calls. Among such species is E. patriciae, an endemic frog of the Central Cordillera of which there was only an onomatopoeic reference of its vocalizations. We recorded 8 males of E. patriciae in two savannas covered by “pajón” (Danthonia domingensis) in the Valle Nuevo National Park. For each call, we measure seven temporal variables and two spectral variables in 20 respective calls. Advertisement calls are whistles with 0.4 seconds mean duration, a mean repetition rate of 16.6 signals / minute, and a mean dominant frequency of 2.1 kHz. Each call has a harmonic structure that extends to the ultrasonic spectral range (˃20 kHz).

Resumen
The relationships between ciliated protozoa and crustacean have been associate with predation events in larvae by several authors. The present study reports predatory events of Cardisoma guanhumi larvae by Tetrahymena hegewishi, considering salinity as an influencing factor. Stage one Zoeas of C. guanhumi were collected and placed in 100 ml recipients. The recipients were set forming a completely randomized block design with ten replications constituting two treatments ruled by their salinity: a freshwater treatment (0.2 ppt) and a control treatment based in the larvae collection pond salinity (3.4 ppt). After 36 hours by see the first group of T. hegewishi trophonts all zoeas were dead. All zoeas were taken to a microscope to count the trophonts of T. hegewishi in a range of 1 mm around. To determine the effect of salinity on the population densities of T. hegewishi a T-test were used. The results of the T–test show significant differences between the treatments, displaying the population of T. hegewishi a considerable decrease when the salinity increase. Due to the negative effect of salinity on the population of T. hegewishi, is demonstrated that this factor can be an alternative to eliminate T. hegewischi from crab cultures, interfering in the proliferation of the ciliates trophonts.
