Resumen
“They treat you as they see you” This popular saying reflects the importance of personal image and the look of the other in the construction of individual self-esteem, identity and relationships. What is the role of fashion and costume on the adjustment / maladjustment of the individual in relation to their peers and communities of belonging? What happens when the bodies or the aesthetic image deviate markedly from the current beautiful standard? The image consulting is particularly important in the genesis of these concepts when questioning the ideal body/ real body duet providing the tools for everyone to find their particular place in the overall framework.

Resumen
This publication is intended to provide a reflection on the body and its construction through Art and Design, allowing to observe it beyond its role as a body support (ie.muscles, bones, structure), or as a representation of the social and cultural imaginary.
The starting point of this collection of authors approaches the body from different points of view. It aims to provide answers to why and how the representation of the body has been a key element for decoding and creating signs of body appreciation from sensibility, action and temporality. The authors translated from multiple looks the body greatness and express their creativity in a network of new bodily presences.

Resumen
Pensar el cuerpo hoy es pensar sus actuaciones y sus límites como un componente de un universo semiótico más amplio, dentro del cual se producen las subjetividades. Nuestro propósito es seguir, con el eje en la película Hable con ella, la ruta del cine de Almodovar, poniendo el foco en la representación del cuerpo, desde los trajes que caracterizan los personajes casi como caricaturas, hacia un mayor interés en el cuerpo/piel y enintervenciones quirúrgicas como en La piel que habito.

Resumen
“(. . .) if it´s timeless, to which record in the order of things belongs the indestructible desire?” In this statement Lacan states that a thing is what lasts the same for a while. Borges argues that human identity depends on memory and memory depends on considering time as a sequence. Is it really so? What happens to our bodies, with the bodies we carry every day and all day long and with those bodies that we create? What will become the work that is in front of me? Much more questions than answers in this article where we´ll try to reflect about us, about our works and about time.

Resumen
It is possible to find continuity between essay genre and film essay (or cinematic essay). In this paper I try to find the insistence of the writing genre and the extrapolation on the other. Throughout both, the textual and the audiovisual essays advance in the search for truth; in other words: in any occurrence, the artwork can discover an ontological truth through language or a system of signs.

Resumen
Este artículo propone comparar representaciones del pasado traumático reciente en Argentina y Chile a partir de los testimonios recogidos en el filme Nostalgia de la luz de Patricio Guzmán, en la serie de fotografías Lo que se ve (1979-2007) de Adriana Lestido y en dos fotomontajes de Gustavo Germano perteneciente a la serie Ausencias. Tanto el filme como las imágenes evocan los vestigios ausentes (los cuerpos ausentes), ejecutados por las dictaduras militares en Argentina y Chile, a partir de la evocación y presencia de los familiares sobrevivientes. El trabajo propone analizar el régimen temporal traumático de los cuerpos desaparecidos y su contraste con la memoria afectiva, examinar la condición temporal iterativa heterocrónica del trauma en los regímenes escópicos sudamericanos contemporáneos e interrogar los usos del archivo mnemónico como intervención-instalación visual.

Resumen
El presente trabajo aborda los procesos de transformación de la materia lingüística literaria en discurso cinematográfico a partir de un caso específico: We need to talk about Kevin, libro de Lionel Shriver y filme de Lynne Ramsay. Me interesa, en primer lugar, centrarme en las transformaciones que sufre la materia lingüística en su traducción intersemiótica a otra materialidad significante. Además, resulta pertinente, en segundo lugar, compartir algunas reflexiones sobre las disputas, consideradas en términos de lo político, en torno a la institución escolar construida en el libro y en el filme.

Resumen
This article addresses two film transpositions of texts from the Argentine literature of the 19th Century: Juan Moreira (Leonardo Favio, 1973) and Facundo. La sombra del tigre (Nicolás Sarquís, 1995), both produced in the last third of the 20th century. Through the inscription of both films in their respective historic and political contexts, I aim to contrast the community models that each film implies, as well as the corresponding figurations of the concepts of people and myth.

Resumen
This article is part of the studies on aesthetic and anthropology. In this work the pilagá basketry production is approached from two different but complementary areas. On one hand, we analyze how the female body is one of the instruments of this basketry production, as it is exposed, articulated and molded during the process of making handicrafts. Also this body is also subject and is exposed to appreciative dilemmas concerning what is supposed to be a woman artisan and what their qualities are. On the other hand, the article explores the production and basketry patterns and designs that the market demand as authentic, focusing in various ways on the aesthetic criteria and meanings of craft regarding their production. From this network of practices and meanings, it becomes posible the reflection about aesthetics and the linkages with bodies and objects in pilagá basketry and to make, after this study, some contributions to the question of aesthetics and design from an integrative approach of different crossing processes.

Resumen
Este artículo estudia la relación de colaboración mutua que mantuvieron el cineasta Manuel Antín y el narrador Julio Cortázar entre 1963 y 1965. Durante ese lapso, ambos trabajaron en la escritura de los guiones de los filmes Circe e Intimidad de los parques. El vínculo que los dos construyeron en sus encuentros personales y a través de cartas pone de manifiesto un modo de labor inédito en el cine argentino alrededor de la escritura cinematográfica. Asimismo, la relación entre estas dos figuras da cuenta de un cambio en los vínculos entre el cine y de la literatura dentro del campo cultural. En este sentido, durante los años 1960 uno y otro espacio trazan lazos sinérgicos que potencian su dimensión sociocultural.
