A typology of university teachers according to their job performance: motivated and unmotivated ones
Jiménez, Nadia; San-Martín, Sonia
Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México
Resumen
The teaching job includes multiple tasks and implies different targets of this work, such as teachers, universities, students and colleagues. The purpose of this research is to obtain a typology of university professors according to several aspects of their job performance: professors’ perception of working conditions, evaluation of job performance and their communication about the contribution and significance of their job. With this objective in mind, data were collected from 137 Spanish university professors participating in this study. A non-hierarchical cluster analysis (k-means) was carried out and the results offer a professors’ typology of motivated and demotivated professors.

Since 1826 photography has been an object of great importance for society. Both in its practice and theory it has touched everything concerning the history of humanity. In the present day, digital photography holds a higher priority and is more common place than its predecessor, analog photography, because its applications, functions and power have grown exponentially. Now we have to understand photography as a device with a broad spectrum and radio of action, which contains new functions that in turn change our thoughts, behaviors and our vision of people, places, objects. In order to understand it, the incursion of different theories, methodologies and hypotheses seems necessary, which would allow us to establish a new epistemic posture to tackle this subject in a holistic manner.

Resumen
The contemporary museum model establishes a logic of discipline linked to multiple offers of experiences, entertainment, consumption and dialogue. In this scheme, the tastes, interests and needs of the visitors become fundamental for the museum to reconfigure itself before the challenges of the capitalist system. This article will address the quandaries faced by Argentine art museums when they generate instances of inquiry about their audiences. To do this, we seek to unravel the new link that is established with visitors from a specific context and a specific typology, an aid to understand the dynamics that these establishments exhibit today. More generally, we appeal to the crossing of contents based on critico-theoretical approaches applied to museology and visitor studies and, specifically, analytical data is provided on the use of visitor’s studies in Argentine art museums. In addition, multiple cases are used when describing studies that allow the recognition of instances of dialogue in the museal dynamics.

Resumen
Throughout this article I approach and analyze some contemporary artistic practices that depart from the body as a reflexive strategy and open up other ways of understanding gender, sex and desire in contrast to a hegemonic sexuality: heterosexuality. To elaborate on this, I propose a three-part structure. Initially, I make a theoretical overview about concepts that I consider important to contextualize within gender studies. Then, I present an analysis of works by five artists (María Teresa Hincapié, Orlan, Piere Moliniere, Catherine Opie and Félix González-Torres) that, from my perspective, are linked to visions that expand on hegemonic heterosexuality and the constructions of gender and sex. Finally, I enunciate some preliminary conclusions about the topic to open the discussion about the relationships between art, body and the triad of studied concepts.

Resumen
This article analyzes the art fair and its role in the art world, taking as a case study the Bogota Art Fair (ARTBO). Its cultural dimension is examined from the view point of Pierre Bourdieu’s sociology of culture. The hypothesis that the art fair is a node of redistribution of symbolic capital is confronted through interviews with participating gallerists. The results of this exercise point to the confirmation of our hypothesis about the role of the fair in the contemporary circulation of symbolic goods.

Resumen
Last year, we had to face the sad news for Calle14 of not having achieved the classification in the National Bibliographic Index IBN Publindex. Despite having several international indexes this news led us to review our editorial policies and practices, which we inform our readers in a timely manner. In that process, and concerned with our authors, who had sent their articles before, when we had the classification in category C, we set out to ask each of them if he maintained his application, taking into account the new reality of the magazine . This is because the salary recognition, obtained by career teachers in Colombia for the academic production of articles, depends directly on the category in which the journal in which they publish their work is classified. To our surprise, all the authors we asked decided to keep their articles approved to be published in the following numbers of Calle14.

Resumen
In 1923 the Colombian cultural magazine El Gráfico published the editorial article entitled “Our National Sculpture”, which states the retrogression of the arts in the country at the beginning of the 20th century after its splendor with the painter and draftsman Alberto Urdaneta at the end of the 19th century. Five years later, after a convulsive period in the artistic life of the country, a new vision of national sculpture is established in the same publication. This article aims to follow up on the discussions within the magazine and other contemporary publications that led to the transformation of the paradigms of what was understood by a national art.

Resumen
In this essay I present the results of the Escrituras Artísticas research project. Through the concept of writing, I connect some marginal cultural practices with high-level artistic production. The first are found in the street and are geared toward the vindication of civil rights; the second are located in art galleries or museums and are focused on the form. Taking contemporary art as a reference, I present some events produced by LGBTI communities as a strategy to promote the encounter between the artistic practices of museums and art galleries and the cabaret practices that these communities perform as entertainment and resistance struggles. In particular, I highlight drag aesthetic and queer activism.

Resumen
The macroproject of the Dr. Jorge Reynolds Pombo Virtual Museum is composed of four stages; the first refers to discovering the strategies for the analysis of the information sources of the works, interests and objects of research developed by Dr. Jorge Reynolds Pombo, for their dissemination in a Virtual Museum. Based on this, a referential framework is established in the identification of virtual, catalogue, museum, and cultural and scientific heritage elements. These aspects led to the generation of data collection tools based on technological applications and, with these data, the organizing and presentation of the documentary information to determine the collections of the Virtual Museum was carried out. Continuity was shown to be a key element in achieving the objectives of the other phases of the museum.
