Edge detection is a digital image processing tool. It determines points in a digital image where light intensity suddenly changes. This process applies to a digital image which assumes some degree of uncertainty in the location and intensity of the pixel in the real image. In this work, we propose an edge detection model which consists in capturing this uncertainty in terms of interval images. Then we apply interval-valued fuzzy morphology to calculate the interval-valued erosion and dilation. Finally, we compute the convex combinations of the upper and lower bounds of the interval-valued erosion and dilation image, to obtain a morphological erosion and dilation respectively, and thus an edge image.

In this paper we study the effect of vaccination control, medical treatment and spraying to malaria epidemic model.Firstly the non-control malaria epidemic model is generated and the equilibrium point is determined. Afterward, the stability of equilibrium point in previous model is investigated. The research is continued by deciding the optimal control of malaria epidemic model and minimizing the cost. The results show that the control effect can reduce the subpopulation of infected human and mosquitoes.

The research paper presents a computational model by Cellular Automata (Cell-DEVS) applied to the transmission of Dengue disease, spread by mosquitoes to a susceptible population. This model will have a multilevel approach to consider exogenous interactions such as temperature. This will allow to be able to visualize the critical points where the mosquito reproduction is much greater, and thus carry out control strategies.

In this work a sufficient condition is exhibited for a hypersurface in Rn+1 to be the envelope of a sphere congruence whose other envelope is contained in a unit sphere. A local parametrization for such envelopes is provided depending on an orthogonal local parametrization of Sn and their fundamental forms are described. Finally, a necessary and sufficient condition is presented so that such hypersurfaces are parametrized by lines of curvature and so that they are of rotation.

In this work, expressions of the cumulative distribution function of Y X, Y/X and X/(X + Y ) for continuous dependent random variables with supported on a unbounded and bounded interval are derived. The dependence approach is based on copula functions. Additionally, the methodology is applied to real data on hydrology.

En los últimos tiempos, son evidentes los cambios demográficos, la edad de la población mundial tiende a crecer cada día, pues más personas sobrepasan la barrera cronológica que el hombre ha situado como etapa de la vejez que comienza a partir de los 60 años; es importante entonces la necesidad de formar cuidadores para estos ancianos. En Pinar del Río, existe un problema de urgente solución que es la insuficiente preparación de los cuidadores para asumir esta tarea que tan difícil resulta realizar cuando sin adiestramiento se asume. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo demostrar la necesidad en las escuelas de cuidadores para capacitarlos en el manejo al adulto mayor, y con ello, lograr un envejecimiento saludable. Se realizó un muestreo aleatorio estratificado de 48 personas que fueron encuestados sobre la conducta que asumirían al cuidar a un anciano. Se demostró que los cambios psicológicos de la personalidad en esa época de la vida, las dificultades en el validismo y la aparición frecuente de enfermedades, fueron asumidas correctamente por los cuidadores, que de alguna manera estaban adiestrados; estos obtuvieron resultados contrarios en los no capacitados. Es evidente la necesidad de adiestrar a los encargados del cuidado a los ancianos a través de la creación de una escuela de cuidadores como estrategia para lograr un envejecimiento saludable en Pinar del Río.

Raising the quality of the teaching-learning process is one of the greatest efforts of a teacher. To this end, all the efforts made must be based on the scientific-methodological updating of the contents taught. The students of the 1st year of the Physical Culture career of the Faculty "Nancy Uranga Romagoza" do not have enough and updated bibliography for the subject Basic Gymnastics and specifically on warming up. This is one of the topics that are taught and is considered among the most important for its functions within a class of any of the manifestations of Physical Culture. Given this expressed situation, it was proposed as an objective in this study, to elaborate a reference material that facilitates the theoretical-methodological knowledge on the warming-up, in which the aspects that are more difficult in their understanding are reflected. Theoretical and empirical methods were used to facilitate the research process. This study was carried out with the four teachers of the specialty of Basic Gymnastics and the 33 students of the Regular Day Course. The material provided facilitates the acquisition of knowledge about warm-up by providing the student with fundamental aspects to take into account for teaching in Physical Education classes.

This study allows identifying changes in school enrollment throughout several generations of students. The real cohort method was used, and computer software was developed, allowing the online consultation of graduation index in the state of Yucatan, Mexico. The data of the students in basic education found in the Registration and Certification Department of the Secretary of Education of the Government of the State of Yucatan were used. Seven cohorts were analyzed during nine school cycles starting from the 2005-2006 cycle towards 2016-2017. Graduation rate showed significant differences with the official statistics called 911. At the end of primary education, the efficiency was 72.5%, and according to the 911 statistic of 97.3%. At the end of high school, the efficiency was 57.2%, and according to the 911 statistics it was 81.9%. Likewise, there was a greater trend of successfully graduating in women than men. In addition, this system allows identifying students at risk of dropping out, making it possible for Zone Supervisors and School Directors to carry out specific and pertinent actions in the improvement plans of their educational centers.

Although the importance of the ability to access, use and distribution of the information on learning of new concepts in a university environment has been emphasized internationally, it is necessary to encourage the integration of its instruction into the curriculum and research their educational scopes. Therefore, in this mixed-exploratory study, we sought to understand the way in which the development of metaliteracy skills contribute to the conceptual evolution in students of virtual postgraduate, finding instructional elements that show a certain relationship between the development of the metaliteracy skills with the development of knowledge, in addition to the value of the participation of the teacher librarian as a tutor assistant that supports the students in the acquisition and improvement of a reflective process of informative tracking.

The training in juggling lasted six months, using the Rehoruli method (group 1) and Ingalese (group 2) with 47 high school adolescents and two control groups without training were maintained. Both experimental groups had better results than the control groups in the final grading of math class and in the performance of tasks involving mental rotation and identification of vertices, sides and flat faces in three-dimensional figures. In addition, the Juggling Lab implementation improved the identification and execution of observed numerical patterns.
