Resumen
The aim of this study is to compare in vitro the degree of marginal microleakage in pressed ceramic inlays made with two self-adhesive dual resin cements seT PP (SDI) and RelyX U200 (3M ESPE). Forty upper and lower premolars extracted for orthodontic reasons were evaluated and divided into two groups according to assigned cement (n = 20). Then, the preparation of class II type cavities, approximately 3 mm wide, was performed in the occlusal and proximal box; and 2 mm thick on the gingival floor and occlusal wall. They were indirectly restored with IPS e.max Press (Ivoclar Vivadent) ceramic pressed restorations, cemented with the types of cement studied according to the manufacturer's specifications. The specimens were kept in a jar and taken to thermocycling; then, cross sections were made to the crowns and the degree of microleakage was evaluated by means of a stereoscope. When comparing the microleakage between the seT PP cement and RelyX U200, it was concluded that there is no statistically significant association between the degree of microleakage and the type of cement (Pearson's Chi-square test; p > 0.05), and when observing the degree of microleakage of seT PP and RelyX U200 in the cementation of IPS e.max Pressed ceramic inlays. In conclusion, no significant differences were found between the two self-adhesive resinous cement. In both, non-microfiltration prevailed; however, for seT PP, microleakage was 17.5% in 1/3 of the cervical wall.

Introduction: It is important to assess the ideal moment in which both biological and structural changes occur in the growth and development of the jaws, to identify at what moment pubertal growth begins in young patients and to correct both dental and skeletal alterations. that can be presented. Objective: To evaluate the stages of maturation of the cervical vertebrae through the analysis proposed by Baccetti and its relationship with chronological age and sex, in lateral radiographs of individuals aged 8 to 14 years. Methodology: Cross-sectional, retrospective and descriptive study. Two hundred and eighty lateral radiographs (140 men and 140 women) were evaluated. A calibrated rater evaluated the stages of skeletal maturation and identified 6 of them. The growth peak of the individuals from the second to the fourth cervical vertebrae was evaluated on the radiographs and then related to the age and sex of the individuals. Chi square tests of association p < 0.05 were used. Results: At ages 11 and 12, it was observed that women had a higher degree of maturity than men; however, to better appreciate the results, they were regrouped according to stages: 1 with 2, 3 with 4 and 5 with 6, and statistically significant differences were found between them (p < 0.001). Conclusions: There is an association in the diagnosis of peak growth and bone maturation of patients according to their chronological age, with a clear difference between men and women, which shows that the Baccetti method can be used reliably in the population studied.

After orthodontic treatment is completed, the main objective is to maintain long-term occlusal stability by preventing recurrence, and this is possible using fixed post-orthodontic retention. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the different methods that exist for the control of bacterial plaque in patients with fixed post-orthodontic containment and how they could affect the state of periodontal health. There are many short-term and long-term studies on this subject, but not one that actually indicates that there are any negative effects. However, it is known that these patients have a tendency to accumulate a greater amount of bacterial plaque, which leads to a higher risk of calculus formation, gingival inflammation, gingival recession, and lingual and interproximal caries, and periodontal disease. For this reason, most studies highlight good oral hygiene as a determining factor to guarantee periodontal health and attend follow-up appointments with the orthodontist to evaluate the physical state of the appliance, in order to avoid possible fractures or failures in the dental system. adhesion of the fixed restraint and give immediate treatment if this has already occurred. The literature does not indicate a specific oral technique for patients with post-orthodontic fixed retention, but it does indicate that good periodontal health can be achieved if the patient maintains adequate oral hygiene and that the orthodontist plays an important role in motivating the patient to achieve it.

Resumen
This research carried out a review on the placement of dental implants in patients with idiopathic osteosclerosis, for which some researchers propose that a specific protocol should be taken into account, which speaks of drilling with external irrigation with physiological saline at 5 °C. The stability of the dental implant is important for good osseointegration, which depends on the bone quality, the surgical technique, and the contact surface between bone and implant. The torque force for good primary stability, according to a systematic review, is 20 Ncm to 45 Ncm. For the successful placement of dental implants, it is necessary to have a good diagnosis of the edentulous area and correct osseointegration. The correct identification of clinical findings, such as idiopathic osteosclerosis, is important to differentiate it from other benign and malignant bone pathologies. Idiopathic osteosclerosis is characterized by being asymptomatic, having no known etiology and no indicated treatment. The most common place where this bone pathology occurs is in the upper jaw and the most prevalent area is the premolar area, although some authors have reported the molar area as the most prevalent for this bone condensation. Currently, there is insufficient research on the placement of dental implants in patients with idiopathic osteosclerosis to determine the insertion torque strength with which implants should be placed for good primary stability in an area with bone condensation.

Resumen
This research is based on the review of a coadjuvant treatment to fixed or removable contention after orthodontic treatment to reduce recurrence. Post-orthodontic treatment recurrence is a common problem, especially in patients who had very rotated or tilted teeth, even in patients with fixed or removable retaining appliances. Currently, transseptal fibers are considered to be the cause of recurrences, especially oxythalanic ones, due to the position they adopt from the cementum-adamantine junction of a tooth to the same junction of the adjoining tooth, passing over the alveolar crest and due to their elastic characteristics. Supracrestal circumferential fiberotomy (SCS) emerges as an adjuvant therapy to reduce recurrence rates after orthodontic treatment. The objective of this literature review is to describe the current approach to fiberotomy as an efficient and stable long-term therapy to prevent recurrence in orthodontic treatments. The surgical technique has not changed, but there have been authors who seek to perform FCS with different instruments, such as electrosurgery and low-intensity diode laser. In the long term, there are no significant differences between the different instruments used for the FCS compared to the conventional one, but there are significant differences between performing the FCS and not performing it. FCS is an efficient and stable therapy regardless of the instrument used.

Resumen
The diagnosis of dental caries is no longer like the traditional diagnosis that histologically mentioned the beginning and the end of a cavity. Diagnostic criteria and tools used in detecting caries lesions have been shown to affect decision-making for their treatment. Today, dental caries is considered a process; Therefore, in this article, new proposals are described that will help us with the diagnosis, management, and control of the said disease. The Cambra and Icdas criteria are the ones that are theoretically supported by scientific evidence of what is currently the pathology and its development, so the historical background of its development, its main characteristics are described, and options for integration into the diagnostic process are proposed. in favor of greater conservation of the dental structure.
