Las necesidades actuales precisan que la teoría y la práctica estén vinculadas, para de-sarrollar habilidades investigativas en los futuros profesionales mediante la articulación de la docencia, la investigación y la vinculación con la comunidad. En las instituciones de educación superior, la investigación y difusión de resultados son el eje principal para formar generadores de conocimiento que aporten a la ciencia en beneficio de la socie-dad. En la Universidad Central del Ecuador (UCE) los medios de difusión son diversos, por ejemplo, existen nueve revistas científicas indexadas vinculadas con las facultades y que publican sobre distintas temáticas. En este estudio se realiza un análisis cuanti-tativo de la producción científica sobre la cantidad y tipo de publicadores de las revistas científicas de la UCE, en el período 2016-2018. La investigación se apoyó en el enfoque cuantitativo y alcanzó el nivel descriptivo. Para registrar los datos se utilizó una guía de observación y el proceso analítico se hizo mediante estadística descriptiva. Los resul-tados permitieron determinar que la mayoría de publicadores son docentes de la UCE; mientras que existe una cantidad reducida de estudiantes universitarios que contribuyen con artículos en las revistas institucionales.

Nowadays online and offline media are platforms that complement each other for the advertising service of products and services in order to influence consumer behavior. The cost or effectiveness in each medium can be the difference at the time of investing, hence, the preference when choosing the platform. The present research focused on the amount of income or investment by conventional (offline) advertising and digital media (online) by restaurants in Loja City, Ecuador. There was a preference for online media with less investment and higher percentage of preference. A sample of more representative premises was worked with. In addition, in the analysis of results it was possible to verify and identify that internet media, especially social networks with 40% compared to offline media, are currently preferred for advertising investment with a lower investment in dollars than traditional media.

The present investigation is related to a worldwide problem, which involves not only the authorities of a city, canton, or institutions, but all the people who carry out common consumption practices and that are related to the indiscriminate use of plastics. The objective was to identify the forms of contamination by the use of plastics through surveys of users and consumers, followed by designing a consumption alternative that replaces them and can be implemented in the university canteen, in addition to raising awareness among users and suppliers. Food service on the importance of preserving the environment through sustainable and friendly consumption strategies. For this, the type of qualitative and quantitative research was used, where the characteristics of the phenomenon were described through the data obtained in the surveys and observation. This allowed us to design the alternative solution proposal to the problem detected on the influence of plastic on environmental pollution, which is expected to be reduced by replacing plastic containers and containers with cardboard and other biodegradable ones. What is expected to be carried out through two stages, the first one that will give way to the introduction of a new service proposal with environmentally friendly, comfortable and low-cost resources. The second stage consists in the socialization of the main results obtained.

Throughout history people have developed special imaginaries about museums. In fact, in the twentieth century the main purpose of museums was collecting works of art or objects to be exhibited. Nonetheless, perspectives around them were modified into a new era where museums contemplated debate, collective dialogue, and most of all changed their main reason in the way of how they introduce their contents to communities and visitors. In Yaku Parque Museo del Agua its educative and communicational teams identified the necessities of creating methods to divulge scientific topics regarding environment and encourage critical opinions in people through their previous knowledge in this specific theme. Consequently, “Don Alfonso the Biodiversity Reporter” was created in 2018 in order to look for this purpose. Furthermore, the objectives of this project involve using innovative ways of information such as social networks and promoting new strategies of scientific divulgation because this kind of information in history used to be encrypted or were far out to reach. As a result, it could cause a blurry image of how people perceive these topics and tend to think about problems only when it affects one’s personal environment. The reflections and actions in Yaku’s visitors have created dialogue with its main ideals in which the museum is conceiving exhibitions, educational and community activities making possible to achieve significant experiences and change ideas of how people see museums in society.

The objective of this work is to elaborate a discursive and visual analysis of the series Without breasts there is no paradise of Caracol Televition, identifying the functioning of pre-paid prostitution and its unfolding in real cases in Quito. The conceptual theoretical approach to discourse analysis went through different schools. The methodology is descriptive, matrices of sentences were worked on the dialogues, interviews and questionnaires. In the results we highlight that prepaid prostitution is immersed in the university environment. In conclusion, the idealized and reified body marks gender identities and serves as a mechanism to achieve power and success.

Tremendous advanced and development in mobile technology and Internet has played a major role in the phenomenon of mobile applications (apps). Mobile apps have experienced incredibly growth over the past years. Mobile app industry is a fast-growing segment in all sectors, and the University cannot be oblivious to it. Through quantitative inferential research located in the Spanish field, specifically in Catalonia, the perception of the usefulness of including apps in the university academic environment for leisure purposes is analyzed. It is concluded that students consider positively the creation of apps focused on their profile, especially in terms of savings, which prioritize quality and price over discount, innovation, comfort and proximity, and that there is a relationship significant between age and leisure planning, use of social networks to find university leisure plans or experiences and frequency of purchases.

The study of reputation in recent decades has increased exponentially because professionals and academics from different disciplines have dealt with the subject. For this reason, experts have found it difficult to reach a consensus and to understand its definition and management. The aim of this article is to describe the state of their study in the corporate and personal spheres. From the review of literature in databases such as PROQUEST, EBSCO, DIALNET and JSTOR, theories, concepts, approaches and reflections are obtained from the work done so far. As a result of this exploratory study, it is concluded that reputation is perceptual in nature and is built through the temporary accumulation of behaviors and actions carried out by the organization or subject in a given context.
