Resumen
In the year 2030, there will be a megalopolis of 52 million inhabitants, larger than the population of Colombia. In 2050, there will be another 130 million people, the same as all of Mexico today. They'll both be in China. The first is located in the Pearl River Delta and will be 26 times bigger than the Greater London, and the second, around Beijing and will be called JingJinJi, with 212,000 km2. The planet is plagued by similar phenomena that configures a challenge to human creativity. Soon, three quarters of the population will live in urban spaces. The other quarter will depend on the other three. How did homo sapiens come to this level of complexity? What are his challenges? The two questions are at the centre of this reflection that seeks to understand the city as a complex dynamic system based on history.

Resumen
In the theories and approaches of development, it has not been considered that religion has a vision of development as such. The article seeks to define the conceptual elements that demonstrate that Roman Catholic Apostolic Christianity, specifically in its Social Doctrine has a vision of development; for that propose, we will describe in a general way, the main theories and approaches in the social sciences, the main notions of the Catholic vision, and the possible dialogue between both. The study concludes that the Catholic vision can contribute elements for the debate of the development in the academicphilosophical plane, and as such, can dialogue with some of the secular visions, especially with the capabilities approach.

Resumen
Justification: Mycetism is the poisoning caused by the ingestion of wild mushrooms, which can occur clinically with different toxicological syndromes, depending on the species of fungus involved and its toxins. Its legal medical importance is that the intake can occur accidentally, homicidal or suicidal. Objective: To review relevant aspects of mycetism, for the recognition of toxicological syndromes associated with mushroom intake. Methodology: Different databases were reviewed using the keywords: mycetism, Amanita phalloides, legal medical autopsy, diagnostic approach. Results: A. phalloides, contains amatoxins that cause acute liver failure and falotoxins are responsible for gastrointestinal manifestations 10 hours after intake, characteristic of the phalloidin toxic syndrome. The cases described correspond to two women from the same family, a 36-year-old pregnant woman and her 6-year-old daughter, from a rural community in the central part of Honduras, who died after ingestion of wild mushrooms and whose autopsies were performed at the Department of Forensic Medicine of Tegucigalpa, to establish the cause and manner of death. In the legal medical history, it was reported that the mushrooms were cooked by the mother and consumed by her and her daughter. Conclusion: Continuous training of emergency doctors in hospitals is recommended for the recognition of toxicological syndromes associated with mushroom intake, to treat these patients on time and offer them a better chance of survival.

Resumen
Biotechnology introduces an unprecedented relationship with nature: it breaks the paradigm of conventional techniques by introducing a new temporality, by emancipating the modes of production of human guardianship, by avoiding any revision of the forms produced and any return to a state previous. It follows that biotechnology breaks three pacts, which remained tacit until its advent, which unites us to men, to nature, to future generations: equity-solidarity pact, reciprocity-trust pact, responsibility pact – solidarity. Finally, some clues are described to contain the consequences of these covenant violations, and perhaps, to restore the balance lost by a certain use of biotechnology.

Resumen
In Galería we present the collection of drawings made by the Venezuelan Italo sculptor and painter Elio Naccarella, with a long career in our country. His creative journey had as an end stage an intense artistic work in the state of Lara, where he died in 2014. Naccarella elaborated these drawings with which he illustrated the series of stories written by children who participated in the II Concurso Literario Infantil, organized by the Ateneo de Cabudare in 2002.
