The objective was to study in controlled laboratory conditions the interaction between the Amidorhodamine G fluorescent tracer and sediments of the Salado river (Santa Fe), with d50 = 11.6 μm and 97% of fine sediments. A cylindrical reactor designed for this purpose and for different hydrodynamic conditions were used. The tangential and radial velocities were measured by an ADV probe, while floc sizes, turbidity and other variables were determined with multiparametric probes. The range of angular velocities (N) used was a function of the expected shear stresses for different river scenarios. The results obtained in a first test using the sediments in distilled water were contrasted with those of a second test, in which tracer was added. The maximum floc sizes, df50≈48 μm, were obtained without rhodamine, for concentrations of total suspended solids (SST) between 50 and 100 mg/L and N>150 rpm. For SST greater than 100 mg/L the df50 decayed to df50≈25 μm for the entire range of N, regardless of the presence of the tracer. For SST>150 mg/L with rhodamine the df50 were greater between 5 and 10% than those obtained without rhodamine. It is concluded that both the turbidity and floc sizes were affected by the tracer presence, for different N and SST.

In the province of Córdoba (Argentina), due to its climatic characteristics, forest fires frequently develop in correspondence with the dry season. So far, there have been no systematic measurements of the impact of these fires on the hydrological behavior of their watersheds.Through the use of a portable rain simulator, and controlled burning at representative temperatures and durations, a campaign has been carried out to measure the impact of fire on the infiltration capacity in Córdoba soils. For this, measurements have been made in pre and post-fire conditions of surface runoff under a simulated rain of known intensity. The experimental results show a reduction of the average infiltration capacity of 32% at the end of the tests as a result of the fire action. From these results, the parameters of the infiltration model of Green and Ampt were calibrated, analyzing their alteration as a result of fire. The hydraulic conductivity presents significant reductions, while the suction head increases considerably. It is considered that the results obtained will allow quantitative assessments of the impact of forest fires in the hydrological cycle of the basins of the mountain region of Córdoba.

This work gives an overview of disasters associated with natural and technological factors. The EM-DAT database of the University of Louvain (Belgium) is used, which has data from 1900 to 2018. Natural disasters prevail over technological ones, with respect to the amount the ratio is 66% to 34%, as for fatal victims, the records indicate that 93.2% is generated by natural disasters, in relation to the number of affected the participation of disasters of natural origin amounts to 99.8% and when considering material losses natural disasters contribute 99.2%. In addition, the following results were obtained: a) regarding the quantity, hydrological disasters occupy the first place, with 38% worldwide, 57% in South America and 58% in Argentina; b) in terms of the number of fatalities, global climate disasters account for 36%, while in South America and Argentina it is the geophysicists who generate 68% and 87%, respectively; c) considering those affected, hydrological disasters produce 48% worldwide and 95.7% in Argentina, while the weather generated 47% in South America; and d) regarding the economic losses, in the world the meteorological disasters contribute 44%, in South America the geophysicists generate 42% and in Argentina the hydrological ones produce 74%. In Argentina, hydrological disasters are those with the highest occurrence, which produce the greatest number of people affected and economic losses, but not with respect to fatalities, who contribute “only” with 8%. It is important to highlight the importance of water resource use planning policies as well as the management pre, during and after the occurrence of water disasters.

The purpose of this paper is to refute the myth that until now has fallen on gamers in the organizational context in Puerto Rico, recognizing the new realities of the labor market in the face of globalization and the digital age. From a sophist perspective, the challenges that the gamer faces in his work are approached with a complex and even universal approach. It is an article of documentary type, with bibliographic design, where the technique of digital ethnographic observation is applied for the analysis and interpretation of contents. After the discussion of the results achieved, it was possible to analyze the role played by the industrial /organizational psychologist, in spaces where the gamer community intervenes, being able to establish the scope of the prerogatives that this phenomenon offers. Finally, it could be concluded that the gamer represents a new archetype of human behavior, among those that enrich processes with place in the organizational and industrial context.

This study explores the positive relationship between investment in R&D and GDP per capita in the departments of Colombia. In the first part, the relationship between investment indicators and GDP per capita is investigated based on existing literature; in addition, the situation of the departments of Colombia in the investment in R&D and the disparity between them in the GDP per capita is presented. The next step explains the econometric model based on a panel data technique. Finally, the results are analyzed, concluding, based on the model, that there is a positive relationship between higher expenditure on investment in R&D and GDP per capita, and that variations in GDP per capita are mainly due to structural characteristics of the country such as economic, social and educational policies not by characteristic of the department.

The study provides an overview of the recent evolution of the national education system, circumscribing the analysis particularly from 2006 to 2015. The contributions of private universities versus official universities are defined, addressing the contribution in compound annual growth rates in students enrolled and graduates. Based on some background of the study, it allows us to understand the economic value generated by private university institutions, analyzing the growth of the private education sector and the contribution to the Panamanian economy.

This essay aims to demonstrate the importance of linking the original communities and peoples in the archaeological projects developed in their vital spaces. The author proceeds to explore six successful cases in which archaeologists and communities worked together in the excavation processes, interpretation of the material record and subsequent reconfiguration of the concept of heritage. The author demonstrates that the participation of the community in the archaeological exercise is crucial for the strengthening of new ways of doing archeology that are not only limited to the eminently academic field

The article is aimed at the critical and reflective approach to humor and optimism, warning the richness of its content and organic interest, applied as playful factors within public organizations, which seek to develop a management of human labor wellness. The methodology used is considered of the documentary type with bibliographic design, supported by the bibliographic method with an interpretative and critical approach, where the documentary research technique was applied in the confrontation and exegesis of contents. Inquiry process that was based on the theories presented by authors such as Buitrago (2019), Attardo (2018), Abraham (2015) and Mellido (2011). It is necessary the design, proposal, and application of training programs, aimed at the practice of cognitive strategies, taken advantage of by both managers and workers together, promoting a pleasant work environment, towards the generation of scenarios where humor fills enthusiasm gaps that obscure the interest of workers in continuing to exercise public service, undertaking actions aimed at managing welfare, joy, and tranquility despite the difficulties that abound.
