Resumen
The purpose of this article is to present a discussion on industrial heritage, memory and preservation, with a case study of a brewery, Companhia Antarctica Paulista, which still houses a patrimony built in the city of São Paulo. At the end of the 19th century, a manufacturing complex was set up in the Mooca neighborhood, its remnants were already cataloged and registered by the CONPRESP, in 2007, in a process opened in 2007 and fi nalized in 2016, from a survey of remaining building equity. This beverage factory played an important role in the urbanization of the city of São Paulo, in a dimension that goes beyond the limits of the factory itself. The analysis of the memory of an employee of this factory allows to understand the daily life of the factory life and can help in the valuation of this heritage.

Resumen
At the end of 2014 it was announced the end of the “Hotel Esplanada” in Fortaleza (Ceará-Brazil) as a result of the acquisition of the building by Ivens Dias Branco businessman to build, in its place, a unique real estate development in Beira Mar Avenue. The demolition occurred in stages, representing a slow “death”, which was gradually fading away an icon of modern architecture hotel in Fortaleza. “Hotel Esplanada”, 1978 - design by architect Paul Casé from Rio - was born in Fortaleza’s seafront as the tallest building of Beira-Mar and the first luxury hotel in town. In this context, this paper aims to investigate the role of “Hotel Esplanada” in the face of socio-spatial dynamics related to tourism and real estate in Fortaleza, from its construction to its demolition, emphasizing its architectural values and exposing the vulnerability of the modern built heritage in relation to contemporary urban dynamics. The relevance of the work is justified by the need to discuss the relationship between tourism and modern architecture, rescuing the role and legacy of important examples of hotel typology in modernity and raising questions about aspects of conservation, permanence and preservation nowadays.

Resumen
The objective of this work is to analyze the production of club-condominiums, aiming to understand the relation of the model with the public space in Vila Andrade, district of the city of São Paulo. Based on surveys and mapping of the projects built in the district during the 2000s, the relationship of the model with three aspects is analyzed: 1) spatial segregation; 2) the increase of violence in the public space; 3) public leisure spaces. The conditions used by Jane Jacobs to ensure the diversity of people and the use of public spaces in the districts were used as a basis for analysis. It was thus revealed that the Condomínio-Clube, understood as an urban typology, in the sense that its spatial configurations in the local context have induced new territorial dynamics guided by spatial segregation and social exclusion, has collaborated to reduce the supply of spaces Opened by the municipality. First, the new spatial dynamics occurred in Vila Andrade and a characterization of the district was analyzed; Later the relationship of the Villaggio Panamby Condominium with the public space was analyzed.

Resumen
This text presents one of the highlights in the formation and development of modern urbanism, approaching to the different ways to understand the notion of living architecture. Beginning from the precept where further exploration and research of the term living (human), assigned to Le Corbusier, who call for a new move, a different architecture based on new lifestyles including new representations of the city and housing. In this direction two points of view are presented: the first refers to the so-called natural part of living, where Le Corbusier conceives an architecture that harmonize man and land, architecture and nature, magnificence and splendor, caring the place, its historical values and enhancement the particular beauty of each place. And second, the purpose of learn to live: a teaching process that allow to the new modern man a preparation to face the renewed urban and housing models. In order to achieve this intention, the work was methodologically supported in a documentary research, some texts were revised that broadly expose the guidelines of modern architecture, especially those of Le Corbusier; Who allowed us to present a repertoire on the notion of dwelling and its importance for the understanding of modernity.

Resumen
Bernard Tschumi poetics can be understood as a process open to other disciplines, an action which seeks the “limits” of experimental architecture, as a way of criticism to modernism in its universalistic and rationalist approach, as well as to functionalism, formalism and historicism. In his theoretical discourse, Tschumi seeks a definition of architecture, defending it as concept and experience, through the ideas of “pleasure,” the “body as a judge”, program and event. Participating in the debate on contextualization, he advocates relations between the concept, context and content and possible modes of proposition - indifference, reciprocity and conflict. In this article, we present his thinking, emphasizing the idea of contextual intervention as interpretation. From the analysis of three significant works of his works, we seek to understand his approach to specific situations. Deepening the debate, departing from his assertion that the architectural thinking is not a question of opposing the Zeitgeist to Genius Loci, we understand his production as part of the discussion of the place and the way we understand it – as, “poetic of complexity”, “complex places”.

Resumen
This research had as purpose the production of thematic maps that aimed to constitute a support and understanding material of the urban form and its use inside the Special Social Interest Zones 3 of São Paulo. Therefore, we used the concept of homogeneous zones to assemble urban units that would configure, in its intrinsic and extrinsic links, the formal and functional dynamic of the city. Units that would also be part of a modular strategy of seizing the spatial phenomena specific to each place, but nonetheless connected to the urban tissue as a whole, indicating trends, morphologies, social configurations and environmental sustainability factors. By its extension and complexity the São Paulo metropolis suggests a heuristic method of approach, in the understanding that the synthesis-map is a powerful tool of social ownership and apprehension over the territory.

Resumen
This paper presents the setting of the organization of the 1939 Exhibition-Fair for the Bicentennial of Campinas, which, during 90 days, exposed the Urban Improvement Plan designed by engineer-architect Francisco Prestes Maia to the population both to legitimate its implementation and to bring Campinas into the “modern age”. This regional event sought to introduce the idea of progress and highlight its own modern character, closely linked to the formation of a national identity during the Estado Novo (New State). It thus forms part of the tradition of the city planning discipline, which, since its formation, because of its operative nature, has used such spaces to promote exchanges of experiences between professionals and disseminate new proposals of urban interventions to the population.
