Resumen
This article discusses the less commented book Croisade or le Crépuscule des Académies, written by Le Corbusier and published in 1933, as a response to a speech made, in 1932, by Gustave Umbdenstock, a renowned professor of the École Polytechnique. The purpose of the book was to defend modern architecture before the attacks which identified it as a reductionist attitude of the rationalist thought and industrialization. As a result, this would lead to unemployment of workers, craftsman and French architects, who were linked to time-honored traditions. The struggle pictured in the book takes place within one of the biggest crisis in Europe from the late 19th century until the beginning of World War II. It was a period of patriotism, national pride and protectionism, and obviously expansion and protection of these values. This work sets out to clear the dimension of the debate between those brilliant men, placed in such opposite positions. In addition, the article includes a translation of an excerpt from the conclusion of the book,

Resumen
The preservation of landscapes and historic gardens is a recent fact. If the nineteenth century registered some of the earliest attempts of recovery of degraded areas and reforestation, it was in the twentieth century that society became aware of the true aesthetic, environmental and cultural value of certain landscapes and gardens – which is evident in those several cultural heritage charters produced throughout this century, as well as in some laws and decrees that arose in defense of this (natural and built) heritage. To put into discussion the presence of the garden and the landscape in heritage charters is to think about preservation of garden areas – or garden open spaces created by man – as well as of humanized landscapes, cultural landscapes, urban and natural landscapes; is to promote aesthetic and cultural considerations regarding some areas and spaces which are in continuous transformation and which are intended to be preserved notwithstanding such transformation. We aim here to emphasize and analyze critically those references to the garden and landscape comprised in heritage charters, and in the Brazilian law which aim their preservation, bringing about such discussion and considerations.

Resumen
This statement is part of a research under development about the architect Sylvio Barros Sawaya. Here, the architect comments some of his works and through them, we shall realize his way of understanding architecture, his designing and building procedures, influence he had of great masters of Paulista Architecture, his research on alternative materials applied to the building and its discovery of an architecture made with popular elements and forms, which transformed his vision and projects. It is understood that the architect can be seen as countercultural, producing sometimes an alternative architecture concerning prevailing building systems and even in relation to the understanding of what the project is.

The question for the manners of inhabiting the city today, leads to examining the relation between among the urban material form and the politics, assuming with Rancière that the politics is “the activity that re-forms the sensitive frames in the bosom of which common objects are defined “. So that the urban form is political, while it speaks about a sensitive distribution between everything and that one that it excludes. From these theoretical-conceptual coordinates, it is thought over brings over of the (re) configurations of the sensitive fabric that during the last decades, they come producing from the arrival of neoliberalism to the city. Reconfigurations that, as the logic of the gentrification, involve processes of exclusion but that also they demonstrate, since in the experiences tied to the right to the city, subjective forms that bid for a more egalitarian distribution of the space.

SUMMARYThe youth problem together with the precariousness of work occupies the centre of gravity of the social question. The subject of vulnerability, precariousness and disaffiliation of young people interrogates society, from the sociological viewpoint, about ways to guarantee their cohesion and from an economic point of view, regarding their ability to reproduce force of work. A proposal for a future agenda is presented in this article that highlights that public policy, with respect to young people, must be comprehensive through the creation of a Young Network; finally, it is proposed to create a series of mechanisms to carry out prevention, re-affiliation and reintegration actions.
