The author of this book is recognized as a librarian. She assumes that librarians are pioneers in promoting critical reading and information search and processing skills (known in various authors as critical and informational literacy). She highlights this work in a post-truth era; a contemporary term associated with the manipulation of public opinion in relation to political issues. Cooke argues that, in the post-truth era, false (or fabricated) news abounds and that thanks to social networks it easily goes viral and spreads false information or diverts people's attention from various issues of public interest. It is in this context that librarians take on the responsibility of training critical citizens who can identify or expose false news.

Resumen
The study explores the opinions of students in the Pedagogy of National and Foreign Languages (English) career regarding mobile learning (m-learning), as well as their positioning in relation to it. Its objective is to know the opinions that students have in relation to the use of m-learning in the career. A descriptive-interpretative study was carried out, with the use of focal groups as a technique of data collection that considered the population of 81 students of the three semesters of the degree. The results showed that in general the students accept the use of m-learning, as well as their involvement in their learning and recognize the role that their attitude towards studying and their habits play in the success of this type of learning. They recognize that, if novel strategies are not used to motivate students for this learning, they may become indifferent as time goes by, often because of their inability to function. We conclude with the need to continue working on the continuous development of technologies that support learning under these conditions, as well as on the generation of new models and methodologies for the teaching-learning process that specifically address, with pedagogical bases, the meaning of these technologies for the improvement of student learning.

Resumen
The objective of the study was to analyze the variation of some physiological indicators and performance components with organic fertilization in the variety of crystalline sugarcane in the ecuadorian Amazon. The research was carried out on the San Carlos farm, located in the Oswaldo Hurtado compound on the Puyo-Macas road, km 29, belonging to the Simón Bolívar parish in the Pastaza canton, Pastaza province, and consisted of studying the behavior of the Cristalina variety known as Lima striped before the application of two organic fertilizers, Pollinaza and Bagazo plus a control where no fertilization was made. A randomized complete block design with three replicates was used, and variables such as tillering, number of stems per seedling, height and diameter of stems, leaf area and leaf area index were evaluated; The agricultural yield in megagrams per hectare was also calculated. The results were processed by means of an analysis of variance and Tuckey's test to determine the differences between the means for the significance level of 95% (P <0.05). It was shown that the main morphological, physiological and productive indicators of the Cristalina cane variety were superior from the organic fertilization with Pollinaza, with values ??of 15 stems per seedling, 160 cm in height 270 days after sprouting, 17.6 m2 of leaf area, with a leaf area index of 5.9 and an agricultural yield of 145 Mg ha-1.

Resumen
With the objective to evaluate the impact and the sustainability of a standard sustainable management of the land in areas with reduce ecosystems and excessive climatological conditions. This work was done in the demonstrative location in the serving credit cooperative “Enrique Campos Caballero” situated in the south of Guantanamo municipality. Where adverse climatological conditions prevail such as low rainy periods, high potential evaporation and high temperatures besides there are accumulated acidity plains, sea food and soil with tendency to salinity. To evaluate the impacts were used 14 registers that include economical, technological, social and environmental dimension. That were defined taking into consideration experts advise and base on the methodology described in the methodological guidebook for the evaluation of the Environmental Impact. To evaluate the sustainability were defined the registers that described the behaviors of the physical, financial, natural, social and human according to the methodology and the ideas of the framework proposed. The implementation of the model MST allowed to reach positive impacts in the evaluated registers, that they were reflected in the growth of the production, reducing of price per weight, growing of the monthly earnings, improvement of water productivity and soil quality, as well as the stability of the labour force. Evenly a positive evolution was founded in different assets, showing a tendency to the sustainability.

Resumen
In the central zone of the ecuadorean mountain range was evaluated the effect of the different height levels in morphometric registers (cell size, coloration of bees) and behaviors (sanitation behavour and defensive) of the Apis mellifera. For this evaluation three samplings were done in the months of March, June, and September of 2017 in beekeeping of the provinces of Tungurahua (6) and Chimborazo (10) in each of them were selected the 5 more productive beehives. The descriptive statistics and comparisons were used for making variance analysis. The smallest size of cell (p ?0.05) was found in the apiaries located 2720 meters above sea level (5.1/5 cm); meanwhile for the coloration, bees with 2 and 3 yellow segments are prevalent in all the heights while dark bees were located at the height of 3200 meters above sea level. Sanitation behavior showed differences only for the first sampling with 85.5% in 2 850 meters above sea level. The defensive behavior didn`t differ in the different heights evaluated with an average of 14.34 sting in one minute. According to these results, the effect of height is important in variables like the size of cell, coloration and sanitary behavior, therefore all of these aspects maybe will be associated to possible effects of free pairings accommodation to the environmental conditions and the process of africanizacion. There is a necessity to complement these studies with geometrical morphometric and genetically studies of DNA mitochondrial for obtaining the maternal descent.

Resumen
In the canton «Penipe» was evaluated the health and quality of milk of the Saanen goat introduced in the vulnerable agricultural ecosystems. Starting with a sampling of 78 caprines for their parasitical hematology diagnosis to determine Brucellaps, a major population of female goats was found of pudgy category with high size, semi heavy, and fitness conditions between 2 or 3, meanwhile in the hematology analysis were reported values of hemoglobin (0.829g/l) and hematocritic (0.24 l/l), glucose (56.12 ± 9.31 mg/dl), calcium (8.26 mg/dl), phosphorous (8.58mg/dl) and iron (118.77 ug/dl). The analysis of the serology to detect Brucella was negative; the treatment for its control was the application of Albendazol 25% and vitamins complex B, achieving more efficiency of worming in budgy on nematode and strongyloidea, with 97.08%, followed by goats with rates of 96.37% in nematodes and Strongyloidea. The present investigation has the objective to characterize the health and quality of milk of the Saanen goats introduced in the agricultural systems in “El Guzo” and to establish strategies that allow feeding security and zootechnics for preserving this animal species.
