An experimental sequence was set up to investigate the propagation of the royal palms (Roystonea regia H:B:K Cook) as part of the amicable production sustainable, biological and economical of the palm grove and pigs. A matrix was organized DAFO to know and to transform the status of the propagation of palms. A survey was applied to 40 farmers at random, who raise pigs, and members of the cooperatives located in Artemisa and Mayabeque provinces in the Cuban. There was an investigation about the practices in the growing of palm and a digital bank of data was established, and a second digital bank was set up with information located in internet related to dasonomia the palmaceas. Finally, the surveys registered that the collection of seedlings of royal palms was the majority in the propagation (50-66.7% of preference). The bank of data about the palmaceas propagation gathered 200 documents. The study of the information allowed to prepare an article about Botany and the propagation of the Cuban royal palm, without antecedents since Roig‘s studies. It has 13 sections and 90 bibliographical references.  This metaanalysis suggested that the propagation of the Roystoneas can pass from the traditional practice to the speck or selection of seedlings that were barn next to the mother palm to contemporary techniques as to cultivate tissue, allowing to use genetic tools of selection and hybridization, to obtain rapidly trees with less height and fruits with more lipid and less cellular wall.

The principal impacts of the climatic change are the modifications that occur in the cycle of water and carbon, such as in temperatures that provoke melt waters and drainages of great magnitudes. The abrupt changes of these variables are determining the work to develop in the Ecuadorean agricultural ecosystems where there are local intensive precipitations and extensive periods of drought, modifications in solar radiation, frost, increase of the mid temperature and therefore, it is evident in the feeding security, and the way and quality of life in rural zones. In dependence of the edaphoclimatic region, the most affected crops are rice, maize, soya, quinoa, potato and cattle raising. The principal measures for adjustment and mitigation of this phenomenon in the country are described in The National Strategies of Climatic Changes of Ecuador. The objective of this work was to describe the approach that specialist in irrigation and drainage have about climatic change and its influence on the work they carry out. Starting with a documentary analysis the principal challenges are defined to face the variations in the rainfall pattern and temperature that influence in major evapotranspiration of crops, and for increasing water necessity, all of these are directed to efficient administration of water, with methods and techniques that respond to the new conditions of less availability of this resource.

The farm is presented as a geographical space in which the ideological and strategic position related to production materializes. The objective was to analyze its dynamics as a consequence of the appropriation or confrontation of the intervention processes, having family organization as the main structuring agent. A comparative analysis of two specific cases was carried out: the Pindo Yaku chakra and the Mushukkausay chakra that represent the positions of change and resistance to change. Semi-structured surveys, guided tours, and participatory mapping of changes were conducted. In this sense, the producers appropriate or conflict with the intervention processes, and configure their productive space in relation to their logics, many of them related to the family cycle and land-financing resources. The Amazon farm is a stage in which processes of change and resistance to it are perceived. On the one hand, the plots are modified by dividing into sub-plots, each of which specializes, giving rise to a certain diversity at the productive unit level. On the other hand, it is preserved as an inherited resource in its form and content. The family is transformed into a legal organization that adapts to the normative model to access the benefits of the State, but the principles and the family way of making decisions, typical of the Kichwa culture, are maintained.

Around the world the soil degradation and its decrease on useful life is an agricultural fact, Ecuador is part of these. And this is because the low agricultural knowledge, especially on the excessive uses of chemical fertilizers that deteriorate the soil condition. An alternative solution to this problem is the use of organic fertilizers that enhances its structure and at the same time reduces the environmental contamination. The sediment of a lake dredging is a potential alternative for the recovering of those soils we need to exploit. The main objective of this work was to evaluate the behavior of the dredging sediments from the Colta lagoon as an alternative organic fertilizer for transitory plantation on Ibarra area, Imbabura region. The experimental place was a farm that belongs to the Agricultural Science School from the Catholic University of Ecuador. On the investigation we applied four different examples from the lake sediments, and processed as fertilizer thru a dry out, oxygenate, inoculated with selected bacteria and finally sieving; and lately incorporate to the soil, dozed according to the soil weigh in a 3 x 1 x 0.20 m. the benefits can be seen thru the performance data, also with the results on quality soils before and after the use of sediments. Proving that the strategy used is an effective alternative and promotes the sustainable agriculture.

The objective of the research is to contribute to the knowledge on the Eco ethologic of the Trichomycterus of Umajalanta river. This catfish has to morphologies: the pigmented epigeal (T. cf barbouri), and the allopatric (T. chaberti) hypogea depigmented, with reduced vision, endemic and vulnerable. Two expeditions to the study area have been made, so the morphs have been studied in situ thought direct observation, experimental ethological design and with 24 hrs underwater camera recording. This work shows that: 1) The Trichomycterus cf barbouri and T. chabertiare are the same specie. 2) Their habitat is shared and continues. 3) The Trichomycterus sp has a great ecological adaptation. 4) Lives in enviroments with temperatures between 90°C and 280°C. 5) The activity levels vary according to temperature, been more actives at higher temperatures. 6) The epigeal specie are has activity during the night, the hypogea one activity is during the day. 7) They can breathe atmospheric air (gastric respiration). 8) In drought of their habitats the specie has the capacity to move out of the water and follow humidity lines looking for watered areas. 9) The individuals that live in the dark look depigmented at a light source, but when they are illuminated several minutes they acquire coloration according to the environment.

The aquaponics is a multi-trophic system that combines recirculation elements from the aquaculture and hydroponics. The objective of this work is to evaluate the production of two aquaponics systems for the sustainable development of the Manabí rural zones. The first one built was the floating root in a 2:1 proportion (two plants every one fish), so we cultivate 60 plants of lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and 30 tilapia (Oreochromis sp). The second one was a nutrients layer (NFT), with a 1:1 proportion, we cultivate lettuce and celery (Apium graveolens) (15 plant of each one) and 30 tilapia from the Nile (Oreochromis niloticus). Analysis of the physiochemical parameters of the water was made on both systems, obtaining normal levels for the food development (color, ph, nitrates, ammonium, calcium, and carbonate hardness) the rest of parameters were out of the normal range; never the less, we achieved a 100% survival of the cultivate products. We calculate de growing rate (TC) of lettuce and tilapia. We demonstrate that aquaponics systems contribute to the sustainable production.

This work shows the results of the research carried out by a multidisciplinary group of specialists in a territory, with a view to evaluating its possible use for tourism purposes. When it was carried out, the territory already had the ordinance, since an environmental impact study had been carried out, which proposed, among other aspects, that the execution of the works proposed in the project was accepted. The problem was that, since it was an environmentally very fragile area, an environmental risk study was also required. The research methods used correspond to what has been approved in the country for such purposes, both by the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment and by the National Civil Defense Bodies, institutions that demand their strict compliance, and at the conclusion of the investigation It was evaluated and approved by specialists from these organizations. A Geographic Information System was used. The results obtained were relevant because, when the environmental risk study was carried out, it was shown that the project should not be carried out in said area, as it was very affected by climate change, specifically due to aspects related to the elevation of the average level from the sea and local flooding, due to the increase in heavy rains in an area that until the time of the study's execution had been burdened by a long period of extreme drought. The effects that climate change is causing to this region were also fully confirmed.

The growing dynamic of the coastal towns of the Nayarit state specifically the so call Nayarit Riviera have been developed on tourism and services, this brings about environmental impacts and alterations in the socio economic development. The lack of strategic territorial planning conducive to an speculation on agricultural land sales where developers in agreement with local authorities generate spaces without all requirements for its establishment, provoking an increase on prices for quality urban services. The thematic is framed on the inefficient coastal management, where the soil use, sea water quality for recreation use, inappropriate use of the municipal solid waste, among others are considered inefficient. The present work objective is to know the importance of the authorized projects and published in the Periódico Oficial del Gobierno del Estado de Nayarit during the 2002-2016 period, through its localization, occupied surfaces, denomination and impact on the Bahía de Banderas municipal planning process. The limit for the urban and population development on the encourage to occupied spaces to those who participate in a way on the economic life giving services for local, visitors and tourist population.
