Resumen
This paper goes into a critical dialogue with Michael Theoblad’s review of J.Ratzinger/Benedict XVI third volume of Jesus of Nazareth. The answer hereattempted focuses on the burning issue of how Scripture should be read in theCatholic Church. The historical-critical method is certainly essential but hasnot the last word. Ignoring Church Tradition, as well as the limits of historical-critical method, Theobald compromises in the name of science, truths which are relevant to the Christian faith, such as the virginal conception and Jesus’s corporal resurrection. How far is it possible to separate faith from historical fact?

Resumen
This article focuses on the always controverted question about the native indians inArgentina and the conflict around the borders, which became very strong in the secondhalf of the XIX century. The missions wanted to be an alternative to the militarsolution of the conflict. The Church had then the firm decision to protect the indiansin their struggle against the goverment and to show them a horizon of a new life, inwhich the transforming strenght of cristianism could help them to carry on with theirlives in spite of the suffering they were going through.

Cyclops’ island (Odyssey IX) is visited in order to peer into the origins of our culture. Polyphem is like an inverted mirror: it turns upside down our images of a cultivated land, a cultivated man, a cared- for living together.

Resumen
This article aims at seeking an answer to some emerging social problems inLatin America, such as violence, poverty and human habitat, from the perspectiveof filial moral theology. This perspective –founded on the Paulinedoctrine- facilitates a new look at these problems; it clarifies their intricacyand denigrating condition and paves the way towards a Christian and humananswer. In fact, when social disorder is theologically constrained and its corefocuses on the reluctance of men to acknowledge the place of God, and therefore their own place, the accurate answer is to politically promote the placeof each human being as a living member of the body of Christ. In sum, as achallenge to the common good, the social task is to create the conditionsunder which the filial and fraternal truth can be achieved.

Resumen
In 2017, Francis promulgated the Apostolic Constitution Veritatis gaudium onecclesiastical universities and faculties, which promotes the renewal of theologicalstudies. The title of the document, The Joy of Truth, expresses the kerygmatic styleof his teaching, which calls for love, light, praise, joy. From Saint Paul VI, theArgentine Pope took the slogan "the sweet joy of evangelizing", which marks hispretrine ministry. Our joy in God is missionary. His new document seems to call"the sweet joy of doing theology." The Dean of our Faculty of Theology tookadvantage of the opening speech of the academic year of 2018 to make a first receptionof the main lines proposing a reception of the great lines of the Proemio de laVeritatis gaudium. This collaboration presents the theological vocation in a paschal, joyful, evangelizing key. A process of reform of studies requires, first of all,to live the joy of Jesus as the center of a renewed theological mystique in a Churchin missionary outing.
