Resumen
In this article we work with the discussions that occurred in relation to the draft law for the defence of democracy, that was presented at the National Congress in 1961 . Despite the fact that the project sought to defend democracy against the advance of communism and other types of extremism, such discussions allow us to reconstruct the meanings linked to the concept of democracy, the differences between different anti-peronist sectors and the limits of a language based on the defense of democracy.

Desde 2009 Argentina masificó el sistema de Asignaciones Familiares con la creación de la Asignación Universal por Hijo ( AUH ) y también se hicieron cambios y ampliaciones en las tradicionales Asignaciones para trabajadores asalariados. Sin embargo, aquí se analizará un grupo minoritario que no accede a estas prestaciones. Son las madres que conviven con sus hijos menores de 4 años en contexto de encierro, tema que llegó a sede judicial y tuvo sentencia favorable de la Sala IV de la Cámara de Casación Penal.

Resumen
The article analyzes the way in which a principal leader of Argentine socialism, Juan B. Justo, conceived the singular place that different manifestations of a significant phenomenon of politics had to occupy: the symbols. It is argued that their assessments and proposals around this problem were always tied to changing junctures, showing an oscillating character and demonstrating the weight of two sources: a widely spread scientific culture and the political culture of Socialism of the Second International. The documentary corpus is made up of a wide range of interventions, to then be compared with the contribution of other voices coming from the Argentine socialism that stress the postulates of said political culture on the place of symbols, in general, and in the Argentine politics of the early twentieth century, in particular.

El artículo aborda la crisis de la «Argentina liberal», convencionalmente asociada con el golpe de Estado de 1930 . Para ello, se analizan los discursos públicos de tres figuras insoslayables de la política argentina entre 1930 y 1943 , que, además, se pensaron y fueron vistas como liberales: Agustín Justo, Roberto Ortiz y Marcelo T. de Alvear.

¿Cómo se posicionó la izquierda intelectual frente a la guerra de las Malvinas? ¿Qué mapas conceptuales y marcos comprensivos fundamentaron su posicionamiento? ¿La variable explicativa medular sobre sus disímiles posturas publicas frente a la guerra remite a sus trayectorias intelectuales e ideológicas diferenciales o a otras circunstancias? Con el objetivo de intentar delinear respuestas exploratorias y siempre tentativas para dichas preguntas, este artículo buscará explicitar, describir y analizar los posicionamientos de un variado grupo de intelectuales de izquierda que representan distintas configuraciones especiales, pertenencias ideológicas y trayectos, y que generalmente no han sido objeto privilegiado de los abordajes especializados: la revista Punto de Vista, el colectivo intelectual de la revista Testimonio Latinoamericano y Néstor Perlongher.

Resumen
The present article discusses the ways in which the Human Rights question was represented, evoked and elaborated in the speeches constructed by Clarín between 1981 and 1983 . It focuses on a set of scenes that are considered to condense some of the main bets, challenges and tensions of the context. The inquiry concludes that Clarín intervened in rehearsing new accounts and interpretations about the present, about the past and about his own performance during the dictatorial regime, as well as on the future, that allowed him to become a valid in- terlocutor within the new transitional consensus.

This article seeks to shed light on the links between the Christian Democratic Party and the Catholic Church in recent history. With this purpose, are analyzed the positions assumed by a group of Christian-democratic leaders in the post coup d’État of 1976 and during the political opening phase that took place, with limits, in 1981.

Resumen
This article analyses historian Tulio Halperin Donghi’s contribution to our understanding of the Argentine history of the interwar years. It suggests that Halperin Donghi stresses the importance of the 1916 - 1943 period, and in particular the 1930 s –the so called «década infame»– in order to explain the roots of the political instability of the second half of the XX th century. The paper highlights the differences between Halperin Donghi’s approach to the study of the XIX th and XX th centuries, describes its most relevant arguments, and sets his contribution within the larger debate on the significance and most salient features of the interwar period.
