This study was carried out in the locality of Tisma, department of Masaya, the purpose of this study was to generate information on the agronomic performance of 12 cultivars of tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) produced in open field. The experimental design used was a preliminary test with no repetitions. The data collected was analyzed by obtaining mean, standard deviation and relative yield. The information of ten fruit characters was recorded, seven of them were quantitative (number of fruit per plant, fruit polar diameter, equatorial fruit diameter, fruit weight, yield, number of cores and brix) and three qualitative (fruit shape, color of ripe fruit and color intensity in mature fruit). All cultivars had different means and standard deviations. The AVTO1004 and AVTO1023 cultivars showed better yields than cultivar Shanty

Rodents are the most diverse group of mammals worldwide. Of this group, there is enough information for many species, however, at the local level, information is scarce for some species. In the case of Nicaragua, there is relatively little documented information or easily accessible on the subject. A list of species of rodents present in Nicaragua was developed through a literature review of global and regional references. Each of the species of rodents present in Nicaragua collected basic information, for its recognition, as well as its relationship with the people. For Nicaragua are currently reported 39 species of rodents, including rats and mice, squirrels, pocket gopher, porcupine, agouti and paca, of which two species are endemic to Nicaragua. It is considered that the information contained in this document provides a general overview about the taxonomy and diversity of this group in Nicaragua. To its time, is expected that in the measure that the professional and technical related with this group taxonomic have of more information, is conducive to the development of studies local that expand the grade of knowledge of this group. The availability of local basic information is essential for making management decisions, either for control of some species or protection of others.

In the present research it is analyzed how fictional works by Eusebio de la Cueva and Hugo Valdés manage to produce panoptic narrators and narrative constructions that allow filling multiple gaps that an occurrence such as that of Aramberri Street leaves in its wake after the silent change process caused in the sociologic and psychologic configuration of Monterrey. The methodology resorted to comprises the utilization of Foucault’s panoptic postulates in his interview “The eye of power” (1980) and Luz Aurora Pimentel’s literary theory. The main contribution of this  study verifies that the stylistic treatments the authors use to recreate the feeling of the time can respond to the historic and literary transcendence in the consolidation of the metropolis as we know it at present.

The main goal of this paper is to contribute to the clarification of the concept of landscape. In scientific research, the landscape has been minimized to its material subtract, in spite of being a major aesthetical phenomena. We hear about geosystems, ecosystems and territories taken as landscape, nevertheless, we seldom hear about landscaping appropriation of territory. The epistemological bias leads to assume the construction of landscapes in the early times and to state that everything is landscape. We end up with the conclusion that the landscape is an art representation or a contemplative appropriation, generated by the activation of art referents in which there are not any utilitarian or cognitive intentions.

This literary essay seeks to generate a philosophical reflection that arises from the word of the word and its characteristics in order to be able to unravel an ancient and hidden question: Is human conception of reality demarcated by the world of objects or by the world of words? All this raises the question of how the world becomes word, sense and enunciation, being the human means used to construct the story of his own existence and from his own world. However, the issue of the intention of the word still needs to be solved, that is to say: whose word is that? Who is the owner of the story told to make this world a human world?

This paper is a philosophical reading of the aestheticism movement in literature. From its early origins in England and its influence by relevant English and French authors. This paper allows us to understand it as a cultural tendency widespread throughout the world that raises deep implications to the artistic practice. A union between ethics, aesthetics and politics is detected under a set of strategies that mostly vindicate the life of homosexuals of that time, in a more or less open way. This can happen thanks to the articulation of an identity related to the culture of sensitivity and to the retrieval of Greek classic culture. Finally, we briefly search for the relationship between this movement and Michel Foucault, whose late thinking is widely akin to aestheticism.

This article tries to address the work of American writer H. P. Lovecraft as a symptomatic experience of the antihumanism of the XX century. For that purpose, it is intended, at first, to critically approach the set of questions that the philosophy of idealist spirit borrowed from religion (the question on the inception and demise of the world); secondly, a return from the circumvention, to notice how the materialist tradition and certain literary tradition, from a different standpoint, tackled these questions. In the context of the addressing of these questionings, we will analyze the innovations that Lovecraft’s literature brought about for the fantastic horror genre, among which noticeable are the problems of mythology, the individual and knowledge.
