A comparative analysis between Greek mythology and the Jewish-Christian tradition. Parallelisms between Greek mythological characters and biblical verses from the Old and New Testaments are examined. Inflection points are showed, as well as kindred opinions, between Marxist historical materialism and Huxleyan perennialism.

Los crímenes del zapatismo (1913), by Antonio Damaso Melgarejo Randolph, which holds as a subtitle Notes of a guerrillero, is a first-person historical-testimony narration of the inception of Zapatismo and part of its development. The text adds to the various anti-Zapatista manifestations that took place in Mexico City, and in this sense there is no reason to give it a special treatment. However, a careful analysis of the work allows detecting a clear novelistic sensibility and a series of features that would be the basis of many of the narrations whose topic is Mexican revolution, namely: genre hybridity or the discovery of the armed peasant as a new literary entity. Bearing this in mind, Los crímenes del zapatismo may be considered an antecedent for Revolution novels.

Resumen
This research proposes the application of foundational gender and feminism concepts to Roberto Bolaño’s last novel, 2666. Gender is an analytical category transversal in nature as it relates to various fields such as the social, political, economic, cultural, educational, even the philosophical and existential. One of the goals is to analyze the novel from these theories in order to discover the author’s stance, sometimes ambiguous. The ultimate end of this work is to deepen into certain sort of terminology that has been culturally acquired through a clearly patriarchal philosophical system to pinpoint and deconstruct it, and create alternative discourses. By resorting to literary analysis it is possible to deliberate on topics such as inequality and concepts such as sexism, patriarchy, violence against women and their invisibility, masculinity and sexual discrimination.

Resumen
The major aim of this study is to learn about and enhance the work done by the bookseller and bookbinder Francisco de Guzmán at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, between 1779 and 1800. This work has been carried out by consulting the books of accounts and files of the Academy’s Archives as sources for the study and analysis in situ of the bindings reviewed in the documentation, which gave us theopportunity to better get to know the type of bindings ordered, their prices, materials and beneficiaries, and also helped us to better understand the history of the institution itself, as well as the guild of booksellers, printers and bookbinders in Madrid and, consequently, the society of Madrid at the time.
