Resumen
The book clubs are a practice of reading dynamization highly developed in the past years in diverse areas. In this article, we asked for the role in public libraries in Spain. We have done some research based on questionnaires and interviews with managers and coordinators and library users and users of book clubs. The results show that the book clubs are emerging as a one more practice than encourage reading, getting social acceptance and every day new groups emerge. In the future, this practice will require overcome challenges such a wider dissemination and diversification.

Resumen
The article presents the experience was in the state of Aguascalientes as a strategy to reduce the digital divide in its various social strata and communities of municipalities. Stages of the current situation of these public bodies in relation to their infrastructure, informational and educational librarians for the development of the knowledge society are described. Results among which were found to have the conditions for a suitable job with the population from the existing infrastructure, however librarians in general do not have quite the skills to conduct this work are analyzed.

Calligraphic manuscripts in special collections: analysis of ms. Göttingen Schönschriften (ca. 1560)

Resumen
Main characteristics of the calligraphic manuscript entitled Schönschriften (beautiful writings) discovered in the Historical Library, University of Göttingen (Germany) are analyzed here. A method based on the principles of material description is developed here to find out details of its formal structure, technical and aesthetical calligraphic mastery and historical circumstances of production and use. This example is part of a large tradition of handwriting and penmanship existing during the 16-17th centuries and displays the convenient integration between academic research and calligraphic practice to achieve improvements in the specialized training on paleography skills of staff responsible for special collections.

Resumen
Evaluation of universities in Ecuador has been favorable to the use of performance indicators in academic libraries. The aim of this research is to know the state of the issue of digital services in Ecuadorian academic libraries to elicit relevant information that can be useful for future institutional evaluating processes. To obtain objective data from libraries, a survey was launched to the managers of 56 academic libraries. From the present study, results about digital services can be obtained as well as opinions and reflections of transversal issues about Academic Library Management and the Librarian Policy of the country.

Institutes and research centers, through research projects in social sciences and humanities, generate a large number of digital sound documents. The accretion of these digital documents come with high risk of loss because of a lack of preservation tools. This paper describes the scope and functionalities of the Telemeta content manager as an alternative for preservation of sound files.

Resumen
Newscasts migrate from television to the web in order to reach more users. The textual representation of news content serves to position the news on web in search engines and facilitate their consultation and preservation. The economic value of television news broadcasts increases with increasing clarity of the enunciation of the subject area for web technologies. Employing documentary management and action research methodologies, this paper proposes a subject area representation model to optimize both retrieval and user traffic. The model is put to the test in a case study and the results obtained are presented.

Resumen
This paper addresses the question of how to determine polarity of opinion among texts and, more specifically, those published on Twitter. The analysis is performed from multiple perspectives, including information science, and communication and information ethics with emphasis on the analysis of natural language processing and knowledge organization. A prototype is developed that proposes annotation of opinion conveying words as adjectives and adverbs contextualized by grammatical core, i.e., nouns and verbs, respectively. These nuclei also serve to model the terminology of the domain, and the development an ad hoc lexicon is proposed.

Resumen
This paper examines the Freirean proposal for teaching/ learning, specifically in the field of Information Science, a field that requires both rigorous research procedures and knowledge sharing, and discusses the approach to research, adopted by a university Librarianship lecturer, that is allied with dialogue and exchange of information. Results from the application of such research procedures during the academic training of librarians are reported that serve to reinforce the importance of shared teaching/learning in classrooms. This study employs a descriptive researchmethodology, using a qualitative approach that includes observation techniques, experiential reporting and interviews. Through the critical-reflexive milieu provided to students, the practicality of sharing knowledge in practice of teaching in Librarianship is confirmed. Moreover, student satisfaction was enhanced through the deployment of this teaching method in academic training.

Resumen
This study offers an analysis of patents granted to Colombian institutions or inventors and registered in patent databases in the US, Europe, WIPO, Germany and Colombia. The trends regarding processes and products of technological innovation in Colombia during the period are observed showing that patents are in fact indicators of technological innovation. Moreover, Colombian inventions are not necessarily sponsored by Colombian institutions, and the and phenomenon of the solitary inventor is giving way to research teams working for large companies, which exercise control over production and marketing.
