Interculturality approaches help to understand social dynamics driven by globalization. Individuals' interaction and different cultures groups generate new assimilations and ways of socialization. Cultures create collectivities and intercultural processes educate them. Ethnocentrism persists in intercultural experiences and that's why an eccentric and empathetic intervention is justifiable. Nowadays there are operating functional and critical approaches of interculturality out and inside educational scope. The house analogy amplifies our vision of cultures and their interaction.

At the beginning of the 16th century the cult of Saint Ursula and the possession of relics of the eleven thousand virgins has an important flourishing between members of the courtier circle of the young emperor Charles V. On the basis of the combination of constructive and technical studies, historical documentation and stylistic and iconographical analysis, it has been established the connection between four reliquary busts, today unlinked and separated by thousands of kilometers, which originally belonged to don Juan Alonso Pérez de Guzmán y Zúñiga, VI Duke of Medina Sidonia. This multidisciplinary approach has made it possible to relate these works with a small group of reliquaries, of excellent quality, produced by the Borman workshop in Brussels.

In the late Middle Ages, chivalry fully assumed the political-military role which it had gradually attained as supreme civil class. The ludic imagery of this institution was incorporated into its representative iconographic repertoire and chivalric pageantry, considered as an artistic production, became par excellence the means of aesthetic expression of late Gothic festivals. This paper presents an interdisciplinary episode dealing with both chivalry’s warlike and pre-courtly means and culture of war through the artistically purposed reuse of materials, structures and military strategies provided by graphic and written sources.

Santo Domingo’s Church, an old Dominican temple in Osuna (Seville), is where are celebrated the parroquial ceremonies of Assumption’s Collegiate and one of the social landmarks of the town. This place was chosen to house the museum and permanent exhibit named Ordo Praedicatorum for various reasons, namely, its long history, its monumental architecture, its archive and its magnificent collection of sculptures, paintings and silver ornaments. This paper studies the museum’s curatorial standards on the one hand, and of the items that compose the four parts of the collection on the other. The appropriate preservation and dissemination of the exhibits has turned this religious centre of worship into a new exhibition space in accordance with the designation of the town as National Heritage Site.

Although it has traditionally been considered that the Venerable Priests Hospital was started by Juan Domínguez and finished by his disciple Leonardo de Figueroa, this paper highlights the role played by the latter from 1686 until its conclusion in 1699. In 1686 Leonardo was a consecrated architect, master of the Charity Hospital, who perceived the double that Dominguez from the first moment in the Venerable Priests Hospital. As of the publication of the Royal Decree of 1777 and the founding of the Commission of Architecture in 1786, the Royal Academy of San Fernando gained the faculty and the required resources to examine the structural projects delineated far and wide of the national territory. However, the implementation of these orders and the work of the academic commissioners didn’t get the same results in all of the kingdoms that integrated the Spanish Crown, being the Kingdom of Seville one of the most reluctant to accept the new regulations. One opposition to the introductory process of the academic precepts in the architecture of the City of Seville whose reasons, circumstances and examples focus this paper.
