Resumen
The article analyses the elaboration process of the general reason books of the Royal Treasury of New Spain, planned in the Intendants Ordinance of 1786, in connection with what was provided in the Indies Laws Compilation of 1680. The paper also explores the conflicts caused by this reform in the three government levels of the royaltreasury of New Spain (localtreasuries and income offices, the intendancies and the kingdom), showing that the final result was an unfinished work.

Life of a French dressmaker in the Hispanic world. Luisa de Dufresi, a mobility case in 18th century

Resumen
In the Novohispanic society, where the masculine group had preponderance within the diverse public areas, mobility was a practice more common among the men, although it was also present in some womens’ life. This article aims to rescue the story of a French woman to demonstrate a different perspective of this particular phenomenon. Through the analysis of her inquisitorial process, we try to understand her experience, the factors that led her to move through several geographic areas and the benefits — if there were any — that she may enjoyed thanks to it.

Resumen
The purpose of this article is to analyze, through a quantitative exercise, certain aspects of the urban morphology of the 59 metropolitan areas in Mexico for 2010. Seven key indicators are measured for the current debate, related to the extensive, disperse growth of cities, as well as the proliferation of polycentric urban structures. The results show enormous heterogeneity. Three large morphological dimensions are also identified that are independent of each other: one operating at a local level linked to the urban layout, and another two on a metropolitan scale on the macro-format and distribution of activities.

Resumen
If we live in a city, every day we have food on our plate that comes from the whole world. There have been recent transformations in urban food consumption, in its socio-cultural and political context, as well as its consequences on public health, the environment and relations between the countryside (the space which provides natural resources for the city) and the city (consumer space). In 2014, over 54% of the world’s population lived in urban areas, and cities have grown in population, area and number, with most of this growth being located in the Global South. Urban expansion and urbanization and the rurbanization of rural communities have transformed the notions of countryside and city and have produced hybrid forms, which involve interactions between these spaces and affect land use, food and energy production, access to diet and their patterns of consumption.

Resumen
At a time when it is difficult to escape the discourse of “evidence-based policies” and in an environment marked by the end of electoral campaigns, and therefore a certain saturation of messages in the public space, El Colegio de México presented the Inequalities in Mexico 2018 report in June 2018. Although it does not contain policy recommendations, the report is expressly designed to promote public discussion and examine “the candidates' platforms in the 2018 presidential elections”. Drawn from studies which, for some time now and in various scientific disciplines, researchers at this center of education and research have produced, the report constitutes a sort of white paper with specific expressions of inequality in Mexico between 2000 and 2017, thereby providing a broad, ambitious diagnosis of this social problem.
