Resumen
Aristotle’s metaphysics, ethics and psychology can help to interpret pedagogy from a “scientific” point of view. Naturally, it is not a question of considering the science of education as a natural science born during modernity; the main difference is that the object of pedagogy is actually a subject, i.e. the human being, notably the free human. That is why an ancient thinker like Aristotle can promote pedagogy through theoretical reflection. In fact Aristotle clearly indicates human goals which even nowadays can guide human education and action.

Resumen
Boston University School of Education received a grant for Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to use Technology from U.S. Department of Education. The project focused on faculty development in learning the Web and digital tools and reflecting on technology’s value for teacher preparation. Qualitative data showed gains in understanding and using technology but little radically new pedagogy. Trained educational technologists facilitated faculty learning and production. Recommendations include: learn by doing; provide “just in time” expert help; focus on the pedagogical advantages of technology, not on technology itself, and use formative evaluation to guide planning. The project proposes to sustain faculty’s new skills in developing a web-based curriculum.

A battery of items was applied from a standardised instrument (TAMAI) and a complete version of the sociometric test to a sample of 44 teenagers, students from the fourth year of Obligatory Secondary Education. The study shows that the teenagers satisfied with their family climate are more popular, receive more friendly elections, have a larger social and positive expansivety, have more mutualfriendship elections, have a larger affective link with his group of friends and have a better sociometric status

Resumen
The main objectives of this article are, on the one hand, to describe the difficulties that are usually detected trying to develop an educational program of quality for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. On the other hand, and related to these difficulties, this article enunciates the indicators that can be useful for identifying a program that respects quality and educational objectives. This information can be of great interest for educators and parents to be able to judge the quality of this program

Resumen
In this paper, I wish to outline the substantive base for family education and family therapy in the necessary interaction of family members to secure uniquely human needs –to create a secure and safe base, to belong, to communicate, to have choices within an ethical, relational framework, to grow, to interact, to care for others and to love. Family interaction, if it is successful, creates the context for human development and human care of vulnerable persons –all of us. I will use these reflections on the substance of family interaction briefly to discuss family therapy and family education and raise questions for further work in this area.

Resumen
The revolution in communications technology has made possible for an unprecedented number of people to have access to a copious amount of information. But there is a downside to this phenomenon. The avalanche of inputs is making increasingly difficult to manage and to assimilate it. This situation constitutes an interesting “challenge” to the formal education system. Specifically, it must respond to the students’ urgent need for competencies that would allow them to effectively and efficiently find, select and transform available information into worthwhile knowledge. We believe that the best place to promote “self-learning” is in the classroom, that is, by using the curriculum content of each subject. In this regard, the teacher has a key role to play. A semi-structured and individual interview was conducted among forty Secondary teachers of Pamplona. The findings show that the transmission to students of learning strategies is casual or accidental rather than deliberate. Moreover, it also depends on the subject.

Resumen
Cultural pluralism, mainly in the last century, generated different approaches which go from the conception of cultural diversity as a problem to erradicate, to the consideration of culture as an enriching element of society. Interculturalism, amongst the latter, is based on principles of equality, fairness and dialogue. Despite its character, which is more open than the former ones, it has several contradictions and dangers, derived from a mistaken conception of equity which makes people commit injustices, when the goal is the opposite. This is harmful for interculturalism itself. Thus, a revision of concepts is required and, above all, to look for a radical foundation of equity understood in an ethical and legal sense.

Resumen
In this new millenium, schools and teachers have to face multiple and new educational problems, uncertainties, challenges and reforms. Teachers’ motivation to implement the changes demanded by this situation is a problem that must be seen into. The purpose of this work is twofold: on the one hand, it examines the qualities of the teaching profession (its potential for generating high intrinsic motivation in teachers) and the pressure the profession experiments nowadays, leading only too frequently to the so called teacher burnout syndrome. On the other hand, in the light of work motivation theories, alternative means of action are suggested that could be set off by teacher as much as by context and, particularly, school heads, in order to raise teachers’ morale and, consequently, the schools’ potential for innovation
