Resumen
The article presents a case study of a multinational company Agilent Technologies which adopted an education framework to its human resource policies. It describes the organization of the human resource policies, the main characteristics of those policies and the way HR policies can be an effective tool for fostering the education and development of the employees. A fundamental idea underlying the study is that education is a process that is proper of human beings and, thus, it could be realized in a sustained manner in any environment, including in companies. One of the activities realized was to review the main roles and responsibilities of any Human Resource Department. A theoretical framework was designed and this was used to analyze Agilent Technologies. A study of this company shows how HR policies that have an inherently education focus can have an effective positive influence on the behaviour of supervisors and the rank-and-file employees

Resumen
This paper discusses whether a school is and should be considered more as an organization or as a community. To be able to answer the question, the idea of schools as educational projects is developed. The conclusion is that a school which looks for all round education should be a common educational project shared by parents, teachers, students and administrative staff looking for all round improvement of all members in a specific context. Such a school is not just a community but rather a common project which needs to be held together by constitutive values

Resumen
A discussion of the thesis that a global world is essentially a society based on solidarity. Globalisation places us in the sphere of opportunities and alternatives, thereby emphasising the intrinsically social nature of globalisation. However, these opportunities and alternatives would count for little if they did not imply a greater participation. This involves realising that the opportunities and alternatives are of a summoning nature to congregate and gather together those who enjoy a common dignity in its different manifestations. However the summons would not be effective if it were not discovered. Education plays a star role in this discovery. There is finally a brief discussion: really, in a globalised world, is what is to come a knowledge society or a society based on solidarity?

Resumen
ICT resources applied to educational diversity facilitate new intervention formulas in the teaching-learning processes. The present work gathers data from a series of school on-line practices for the learning of Natural and Social Sciences, as well as data from collaborative learning experiences. Also, this work studies web potential for in-service training of teachers. On-line training overcomes many of the shortcomings and difficulties of inservice training, thanks to its easy access, management and storage of information, as well as to the possibilities it offers for synchronic and diachronic communication.

Resumen
Some meta-analysis studies that show the efficacy of Cooperative Learning in comparison with competitive or individual learning are analyzed. Efficacy is based on the following data: achievement, high levels of reasoning, time required to accomplish the task, transference of learning, intrinsic motivation, cognitive and social development, personal interactions, friendship, reduction of stereotypes and prejudices, mental health, self-esteem, social competencies, internalization of values and the quality of the learning environment. All the available data suggest that it is a strategy that can respond to the challenges that come with globalization.

Resumen
By contextualising globalization from a sociological perspective it is possible to highlight the experience of inequality as a fruit of fragmentation. The problem lies in the assumption of linear development in the globalization process. This supposition generates deviations, and poverty is one of the most important ones. Finally, an analysis is made of the four dilemmas facing world geopolitics, to conclude with three alternative proposals to the situation described.

Resumen
This article analyses the contemporary representation of Latin America in the Japanese media, combining the theoretical concepts of social autopoiesis and otherness. In addition, this study also uses the communication research method of content and textual analysis to examine two decades worth of news articles published by the Japanese newspaper, The Asahi Shimbun. The resulting discussion centers on how Latin Americans are mainly portrayed as athletes or rule breakers, laying the foundation for the construction of a Latin American other required for the production and reproduction of a Japanese Self.
