The  communication  sector,  especially  the  media  sector  suffered  severely  from  the  consequences  of  the  economic  crisis  that  began  in  2008,  and  is  witnessing,  once  again,  the  complicated  situation  derived  from  the  Covid-19.  Bad  strategic  decisions;  the  decrease  in  advertising investment; the excessive dependence on the financial sector, the culture of total free of charge are  some  of  the  causes  of  the  emergency situation  that  drags  written  journalism  in  Spain.  Through  in-depth  interviews,  innovative  actions  related to the organization, financing and the product in the journalist sector  of  digital  media are  analysed.  Specifically,  the  cases  of  El  Salto,  CTXT  and  La  Marea  are  analysed.  The  results  are  presented  divided  into  six  study  variables:  historical  perspective;  financing  and  participation;  income  diversification;  organizational  structure;  brand  equity,  and  competition.  Although  the  analyzed  examples  differ  in  aspects  such  as  legal  personality,  all  of  them  coincide  in  appealing  to  a  traditional,  reflective,  and  with  procedural  guarantees,  they  bet  on  horizontal  organizational  structures  and  base  their  income  model  on  the subscription. The main conclusions show the emergence of initiatives that,  faithful  to  traditional  journalistic  values,  seek  to  differentiate  themselves  through  strategies  and  brands  whose  economic,  financial  and eadership shares are inextricably linked to the concept of niche.

Successful policies improve the use of resources for research and safeguard scientific capital. The RSDC contribute by making research results visible. It was sought to establish whether the policies of the Government of Ecuador embodied in the LOES and the research evaluation criteria of the CACES promote the development of the research culture in Communication Careers teachers and measure the use of RSDC for scientific dissemination. With content analysis and in-depth interviews, the results show that the Movement of Córdoba-1918 promotes the creation of the LOES-1925, a law that today reflects 15 articles of investigative impulse. Universities have at least two documents referring to research to promote it. The presence of teachers in RSDC is growing, making visible and improving academic prestige. HEIs motivate the use of digital platforms to disseminate science and encourage the development of research. Conclusion: the research culture of teachers is strengthened more with the requirements of the LOES, than with the research evaluation criteria of the CACES. EIs rely on LOES to develop research documents. The communication and dissemination of science is empirical and is not felt as a legal and institutional basis for research action.

The esperpento, beyond the literary conception coined by Ramón María del  Valle-Inclán,  entails  singular  aesthetics  which  can  be  transferred  to  other  arts,  as  it  is  the  case  of  film.  The  cinematic  esperpento,  even  though  it  assimilates  its  main  characteristics  into  the  audiovisual  medium,  has  not  had  a  historically  well-defined  path  within  Spanish  film, as it did not quite fit in the common waves of dissident cinema and francoist cinema. As an answer to this problem, the aim of this essay is to analyze La vaquilla (Luis García Berlanga, 1985) as a paradigmatic example  of  the  Spanish  cinematic  esperpento,  even  if  it  has  not  been  considered  like  that  by  other  authors  or  has  been  generally  ignored.  Through  this  analysis,  the  aesthetic  functionality  of  the  genre  will  be  observed and its systematically deforming approach will lead to draw unique   conclusions   regarding   the   extremely   traumatic   event   that   the  Spanish  Civil  War  was,  which  shaped  the  historical  memory  of  the  nation.  In  this  sense,    the  narrative  possibilities  of  the  cinematic  esperpento  and  the  necessity  to  give  the  genre  a  historical  place  of  its  own will be vindicated.

The research addresses the communication management of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Fashion sector, with particular attention to online communication of one of the spheres of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): environmental sustainability. The UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD, 2019) called on the Fashion sector to integrate the principles of sustainability into its business strategies, paying special attention to 'fast fashion' to which it attributed a greater responsibility. For this reason, it has been fast fashion that has focused this research, with particular attention to the Spanish and Italian markets, carrying out an analysis of the case focused on the management of digital communication of environmental social responsibility carried out by two brands: Zara and OVS. The analysis focuses on the communication made through their respective corporate websites, online press rooms and their social networks (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).

Slashers  are  a  subgenre  of  horror  films,  full  of  violence  and  sex,  born  in  the  United  States  in  the  1970s.  They  star  teenagers  and  triumph,  especially,  among  teenagers.  Despite  moments  of  crisis  and  serious  controversy, they are still part of audiovisual fiction today, as illustrated by  Fear  Street  (2021).  This  paper  studies  the  narrative  of  this  Netflix  production to interpret the profound sense of a type of filmmaking often accused  of  inciting  femicide  and  of  being  exploitative.  That  is,  of  using  the forbidden, the lurid and the scandalous to, for a low budget, make a killing at the box office through commercial formulas such as sequels and   using   dubious   aesthetic   pretensions.   Specifically,   slashers   are   related to the sexual awakening and narrations of the rite of passage to heteronormativity, which, in the case of Fear Street, is questioned from a Queer perspective.

This paper focuses on the collaborators of the Biscayan press’ employment and    professional    situation,    journalists    who    work    exclusively    or    almost  exclusively  for  a  single  media  as  freelance  workers.  This  paper  shows  how  precariousness  is  an  obstacle  to  achieving  the  necessary  journalistic quality that the media should offer. These professionals are at  a  disadvantage  compared  to  hired  journalists  who  are  covered  by  the  corresponding  collective  agreement.  The  collaborators’  precarious  working  conditions  affect  their  professional  routines  and,  ultimately,  the  quality  of  the  daily  texts  published  in  the  newspapers.  We  use  quantitative data from a survey and a qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews with collaborators and former collaborators to address this  problem  and  show  the  working  and  professional  situation  of  the  journalists who make up this group.

Although journalism and literature share a long and complex history, many years passed before the relationship between the two was considered an object of academic study. By the end of the 19th century, what would later become known as literary journalism was already being practised in various countries. From that period until the present day, this relationship has not been free of controversy. Nevertheless, they have been enriching for both disciplines, and continue to be so today, which has given rise to a wide diversity of writings. These range from the earliest stories to the new narratives of the digital age which, especially in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, are thriving thanks to the new technologies. The proposed monograph welcomes all types of proposals that deal with the interaction between journalism and literature, from approaches that are both diachronic as well as interdisciplinary or innovative.
