   In the present work, an explanation of the various experiments for the didactic demonstration of the phenomena of fluorescence, phosphorescence and chemiluminescence is carried out, using low-cost and accessible materials. In the case of fluorescence, 3 experiments were available, which were based on the fluorescence of turmeric, chlorophyll and fluorescein. Finally, for the chemiluminescence phenomenon, fishing light bars were available, which contain two solutions that, when mixed, produce the chemiluminescence phenomenon. 

   Since the first incident of COVID-19 pandemic in Wuhan, China, face masks have become an important tool for preventing the spread of COVID-19, and personal protection from contracting the virus. In Mexico, the most used masks are disposable surgical masks, N95, and KN95 filtering masks. However, at the beginning and during the higher contagion stages, due to inadequate information at this time, most people were unable to use the masks, affecting health personnel. In this manuscript, we intend to review the characteristics of the masks, the commonly used manufacturing materials for masks’ production, and mechanisms through which the masks work such as the initial impact mechanism, interception mechanism, diffusion mechanism, and electrostatic attraction mechanism; presenting such information with the purpose of explaining the basic but necessary aspects of masks. This is in a bid to prepare the people ready for the appropriate use of face masks of future pandemics such as the one we have now. Finally, the importance of scientific research in understanding the use and development of masks is mentioned. 

   This paper shows a contextualized didactic proposal based on the development of fuels for the teaching of chemistry in high school students.  - The main objective of this proposal is to contextualize the curricular contents about the topic of carbon and hydrocarbons, taking as starting point the progression of certain context such as the development of fuels, 3 types of sessions are proposed:  - initial or motivational, in which a problem situation of daily life is argued, conceptual, using reading and ICTs  - concepts are introduced in a context of the fuels’ development  - final session, considering the possibility of argumentation and appropriation of a scientific literacy in environmental and transdisciplinary issues, this was done using the Teams platform in remote education and face-to-face classes in the return to school. 

A partir de la invitación generada por la coordinación del Doctorado en Diseño de la Universidad de Palermo, se compartió con los estudiantes del programa en el espacio de Seminario Avanzado en Diseño Internacional, la experiencia obtenida en el desarrollo de la tesis de doctorado “Los colores de Puerto Vallarta, en la construcción cultural urbana de una ciudad turística. 1990-2016.” El objetivo de la sesión fue brindar a los doctorandos la oportunidad de conocer la línea de investigación sobre el color y la ciudad. Se realizó un estudio cromático de la ciudad de Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, México, se estudió al fenómeno del color como elemento de experiencia y construcción cultural urbana en un destino turístico. Se planteó un análisis de las relaciones en la generación de paletas cromáticas objetivas y subjetivas de la ciudad de Puerto Vallarta como ejes que permitieron estudiar los valores cromáticos identificados por los nativos, habitantes y turistas, para revelar su conocimiento, experiencia, multiplicidad y percepción como resultados de la construcción cultural urbana de una ciudad turística.

El artículo muestra cómo el arte inspira o dialoga con el diseño de publicidad. Vamos a analizar el filme publicitario “Le Loup” (El lobo), de Chanel º 5, en un estudio comparado con la obra de arte El Bautismo de Cristo, de Piero de la Francesca. Partimos de la Semiótica, la Antropología y el Psicoanálisis para resaltar los puntos de convergencia y las redes de significado latentes entre una obra de arte renacentista y un spot publicitario.

La misión de los museos del mundo está pasando por un proceso de re-evaluación, en el cual la propia definición de museo está evolucionando, no sin los dolores y conflictos que estos cambios conllevan. Entre las discusiones clave resaltan el papel y la responsabilidad social de los museos ante su comunidad inmediata y extendida considerando su histórica relación con sectores elitistas o asociados al colonialismo.

Transition Design is an emerging, transdisciplinary area of research, study and practice aimed at addressing systemic (wicked) problems and thereby catalyzing societal transitions toward more sustainable, equitable and desirable long-term futures. It recognizes that such problems are always interconnected, and addressing them requires systems level change (that is, the reconfiguration of socio-technical-ecological systems). While this is a long-term endeavor, it requires incremental, systemic interventions in the present at multiple levels of scale. The necessity for systems level change is increasingly being recognized by practitioners, academics and activists, making Transition Design and other approaches to systems change ever more relevant. In various ways, all the papers in this volume explore how to bring this about, recognizing that it is a transdisciplinary, long term, place-based project that needs to engage marginalized and disenfranchised stakeholders, and weaves together theory and practice and academic and non-academic forms of knowledge.

Designing for transitions toward a desirable, sustainable, and socially just world requires design practices that consider long-term futures that extend across scalar frameworks from individuals to planetary stewardship. The applied transition design (TD) framework is valuable in understanding the web of the interconnectedness of problems before forming nested and complementary interventions. 

La naturaleza interrelacionada de las múltiples crisis socioambientales que acechan a América Latina exige una acción colectiva audaz, urgente y creativa. Los problemas perversos que se pueden encontrar interconectando estas crisis caracterizan una necesidad de integración genuina del conocimiento (transdisciplina) que pueda articular y trascender el conocimiento académico por sí solo.

El Diseño para las Transiciones tiene el potencial teórico y práctico para transformar la disciplina del diseño hacia una nueva ética de práctica. Como marco emergente, reconoce que lo social, económico y ecológico están entrelazados y busca diseñar resultados contextuales, sistémicos, a largo plazo y plurales.
