Palabras claves: molusco, Caracolus, especie amenazada, área protegida, incendio forestalAbstract: ASSESSMENT OF THE STATE OF CONSERVATION OF CARACOLUS CIMARRON (GASTROPODA: SOLAROPSIDAE) IN THE NATIONAL PARK MENSURA PILOTO, DISTURBED BY FIRES. Caracolus cimarron is an inhabitants on serpentine soils, from La Mensura hill to Gurugú, Sierra de Nipe; their habitats are pine forest and sub-thorny thickets (charrascal). With the discovery of this species at the same time an ecological monitoring was carried out (2011-2015), but a fire in 2017 its area of occurrence was disturbed. With the precedent studies and the fieldwork carried out in January 2018 the following objectives were purpose: To assessment state of conservation and evaluation to C. cimarron according to categories and criteria of threatened species and to propose conservation actions. The following results were obtained: Before the fire, the conservation state of C. cimarron was good, regarding its habitats and population density, also the spatial temporal change were assessments. After the fire, 80% of the area where occur, including the sites with abundance bigger were destroyed; the population density in 96% decreased. In Pelabollo hill, not affected by fires, low abundance had. This species in Critical Risk (CR) requires conservation actions, over here explained. Keywords: mollusk, Caracolus, threatened species, protected area, forest fires.Descargar PDF

Abstract: DIAGNOSTIC OF PESTS IN THE DRY NEONTOLOGICAL COLLECTIONS OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY OF CUBA. Natural history collections serve as a historical archive of life on earth, and a resource for various studies. Biodeterioration is one of the causes of deterioration of museum specimens, especially of zoological collections due to their composition. The National Museum of Natural History of Cuba does not escape these phenomena, that is why in this work the dry neontological collections of the institution were sampled to know their status. Specimens of the Class Insecta (Coleoptera, Thysanoptera, Hymenoptera (Formicideae and Evaniidae) and Blattaria), the Class Reptilia (Gekkonidae and Hemidactylus) and the Family Aracnidae were found. Psychoptera were the most abundant specimens, which, in addition to being pests, are also indicators of the health of the collections. This article points out the importance of studying the agents of biodeterioration in zoological collections, since prevention and timely conservation can extend the life span and health of zoological collections. Keywords: pests, zoological collections, biodeterioration, CubaDescargar PDF

ABSTRACT: CLASSIFICATION OF CUBAN ANTS (HYMENOPTERA: FORMICIDAE) INTO FUNCTIONAL GROUPS. Classification of organisms into functional groups allows reliable comparisons among environments under different conditions. This constitutes a generalized practice in local and regional ants studies. In this contribution, a functional group classification for the Cuban ant fauna is proposed. Two main criteria were taken into account: prevalent foraging and nesting behavior. In order to make a comparable system, we adapted the terminology from literature sources. On this basis, we distinguish 11 functional groups: ground and vegetation dominant omnivores, ground and vegetation opportunists, ground omnivores and scavengers, “poneroids” specialist predators, myrmicine specialist predators, large ponerine epigaeic predators, open-habitat specialists, arboreal specialists, leaf-cutting fungus-growers, non-leaf cutting fungus growers and limestone-dwelling specialists. This classification should prove to be useful as a tool for environmental assessment and ant diversity monitoring in Cuban ecosystems, either natural or human-modified.
Keywords: Assemblages, Cuba, habitats, monitoring, myrmecofauna.

Resumen
Our society is aging, many people will be forced to work until old age. From a labor standpoint, inclusive public policies of the workforce are required as it grows old by offering training and employment promotion opportunities. This exploratory study analyzed the offer of the current programs of the National Service of Training and Employment as to whether or not they promote the inclusion of older workers. A characterization of the programs was carried out considering seniority, targeting, budget, target population, age range, government period. They were classified according to their degree of inclusion in: non-inclusive, partially inclusive and inclusive. Among the thirteen programs analyzed, only five are truly inclusive. It is proposed to review the other programs in order to seek adjustments or changes that could increase their degree of inclusion, in order to reach better equity for people of all ages in our country.

Resumen
The article analyzes the forms of products exchange amongst indigenous families who are residents of Tarapacá in the Colombian Amazon as a dialectic between reciprocity relationships of indigenous economies and the influence of market economies. For that, we reflect on how families exchange and trade with agro-biodiversity products in chagras, rivers and forests. As part of the social system, the exchange is regulated by a dialectic of value between the Community and capitalist forms, which in differing degrees is transversal to the forms that the indigenous economy has now taken.

Resumen
Modern dominant economic discipline presumes a maximizing egotistical human nature. These fundamentals, although expressed in technical terms today, have their origin in moral philosophy, and specifically in the work of the Scottish moralist Adam Smith. As was evident at the time, the author presumed the human species inherent Evil given the Original Sin and the providential direction of individuals due to this Evil. These metaphysical assumptions conditioned the further development of the discipline and its rejection of solidarity. In this regard, in spite of the overall ignorance of these assumptions, modern economic vision emphasizes egotism as the motor of human behavior, and thus finds the proposition of systems based on solidarity futile and unrealistic. However, other sociocultural disciplines, in addition to demonstrating the falseness of the egotistical assumption have contributed to stress the importance of socio-economic institutions in the various sustainability systems. This in turn, signifies the recognition of the cultural influences on the ethics of economics; be them egotism or solidarity.

Resumen
The author claims that the current teaching / learning does not prepare students to handle the growing complexity of the environment nor its more aggressive and competitive character, and retrieves the liberating specificity of education, now framed by a mechanistic scheme. It is alarming to see -it notes- that the educational task is as much and more schooling than the old schools at the turn of the century. We need to restore education in an holistic perspective and consider that all educational activity involves proactive and creative subjects. It proposes, then, to learn to move in the world of uncertainty.
