Resumen
In this work, we will widely discuss the acting of Confederación Campesina del Perú (CCP), a peasant representative entity in Peru, created in 1947. On a theoretical point of view, our referential frame is supported by authors linked to a heterodox Marxist tradition, such as E. P. Thompson, who developed the argument of class construction along the historical process. This paper takes part in a wider research, that discusses the Peruvian agrarian reform, which started from 1969, during the military regime lead by General Velasco Alvarado. Our method is based on the analysis of the speech and documents produced by the state burocracy and peasant leaders, apart from using oral history interviews that the author performed with some of these leaders in the last years. The main result obtained in our analysis is the Peruvian peasant movement's significance, being expressed in the various conjunctures shaping this country.

Resumen
This article deals with the process of peasant popular mobilization within the rural commune of Paine, Chile, between 1967 and 1973. It analyzes its internal dynamics and socio-political configurations, a process interfered by the permanent and growing tension with the large estate owners’ sector (the latifundistas). This determined how the deconstruction of the estate order in the commune was resolved and the emergence of a new generation of peasant leaders who, after the coup d'état of September 11, 1973, were persecuted, tortured and exterminated; in the middle of one of the largest and bloody peasant massacres committed in the history of Chile, being also one of the least known.

Resumen
Neoliberalism is a confusing process of socio-spatial transformation, which is neither a ‘top-down’ nor a ‘bottom-up’ phenomenon. It is a discourse where the structural and agency dimensions merge. The aim of this paper is to analyze a social policy implemented in Argentina since 2009: the Programa Ingreso Social con Trabajo (PRIST). This allows us to understand how neoliberal discourse operates in terms of its effects as well as in the transformations regarding the agency of social actors. Following a qualitative perspective, the hypothesis is that even within the neoliberal discourse, PRIST constituted an opportunity for the recognition of informal workers and its organizations by allowing them to reposition themselves as their representatives. Thus, neoliberalism crosses the different areas without crushing the proactive capacity of social actors. The new organizational experiences tell us about how the links between neoliberalism, politics and citizenship are built.

Resumen
This paper aims to introduce the results of an exploratory research about scientific authority in the academic field of Chilean astronomy. Based on a qualitative methodology approach, ten in-depth interviews to astronomers were conducted. Research findings show two main components of the scientific field. There is an institutional axis and a scientific axis. The first one is related to access and resources management, and the second one to strictly scientific activities that enable knowledge creation. These results suggest a new form of scientific authority recognizable in some constituent agents of the field, which is generating counterproductive tensions within the field.

In Latin American rural areas, community organizations are responsible for granting water service to its members. From the Chilean case, the article shows that rural community systems are based on a substantive economy that generates territorialization and patrimonialization of water. In a context of privatization and commodification, committees are affected or transformed, assimilating to capitalist forms of management. However, local, national and transnational strategies and solidarities emerge to defend their alternative form of produce drinking water.

Resumen
As a first objective, a critical view of the current educational policies in Chile is proposed, from a position referred to the schooling process for migrants, in terms of revealing how it is approached among different curricular instruments, an exercise that tells who have been the accomplices of that "silence". As a second objective, this reflection intends to argue that the absence of a schooling policy for migrant children and young people could constitute an opportunity to strengthen processes of teacher professionalism and a political educational challenge in the attention of cultural diversity, from a perspective of critical intercultural education.

Resumen
Chilean border studies have been permeated traditionally by a geopolitical logic, similar to the way in which the state has addressed its national borders. This poses significant challenges, since Chilean border experiences social and spatial changes. Social scientists require new approaches at the level of international and Latin American debates on the issue. This article discusses some of these challenges with particular reference to the formation of cross-border regions and urban complexes.
