Today is a challenge to restore the natural appearance and anatomy of extracted teeth. In this paper we present a clinical case in which the right upper central incisor is restored, due to the presence of a dentomaxillofacial trauma, through a Leader® implant combined with Biograft-G® bone filler. The patient is a 19 year woman treated in the multidisciplinary consultation of the National Center of Stomatology, Havana, Cuba. The patient had an immediate prosthesis due to a fracture of the crown and root, with vestibular bone defect. The patient frequently fractured the prosthesis, which affected her in terms of aesthetics, social, psychological and functional incorporation. After a multidisciplinary evaluation and the patient’s consent, the surgery was performed using the flap technique, the placement of the Leader® implant and the filling with Biograft-G® to regenerate the bone defect, to recover the vestibular contour and to achieve a definitive rehabilitation. With this treatment, the patient obtained the desired aesthetic and functional results.

In Colombia, HIV-AIDS affects the population of young and sexually active people. To perform behavioral studies allows the monitoring of indicators that define behavioral aspects that are fundamental in the spread of the disease. In this regard, this descriptive cross-sectional study search to describe the knowledge, attitudes and practices in 212 adolescents students –of 9, 10 and 11 grade of a public school in the District of Santa Marta—, towards the disease of HIV-AIDS. The results were the following: 91% of the teenagers received information about HIV -AIDS, 68%, received it at school; 18% did not recognize HIV-AIDS as a STD; 98% did not know other STDs such as candidiasis and trichomoniasis; 98% did not consider alcohol and drug use as a risk factor for contracting STDs, among others. It is concluded that the majority of adolescents do not have sufficient knowledge about HIV-AIDS, which is a risk factor.

Marfan syndrome (MS) is an autosomal dominant disorder of connective tissue surrounding different systems. The main objective of the study was to determine the effects of physical exercise, reported in the literature during the period 2000-2016, in patients with MS. Scientific articles from indexed pages in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese. referring to physical exercise responses in patients with MS, were collected. The results presented by the authors revealed the benefits and alterations caused by physical exercise in these patients at a cardiopulmonary level. In the light of the outcome of the review, which unanimously concludes that high intensity exercise should not be prescribed for these patients, it was concluded that there is a need for management guides that allow the prescription of the exercise to be performed and that specifically state the parameters of this prescription.

It is well established that vital stressors during childhood, particularly sexual abuse, are associated with anxiety disorders and posttraumatic stress disorder. However, there is less information about the relationship between different kinds of abuse and the currently category of anxiety disorders proposed by the American Psychiatric Association. The objective of this study was to perform a meta-review of the association between vital stressors during infancy (emotional, physical and sexual abuse and neglect) and anxiety disorders (panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder). It was conducted a meta-review of systematic reviews and meta-analyzes that analyzed the association between vital stressors during childhood and anxiety disorders, published in Medline between January 2000 and June 2016. The quality of the reviews was assessed with the AMSTAR questionnaire.  Three studies that showed that vital stressors during childhood and anxiety disorders were significantly associated (odds ratios (OR) between 2.0 and 3.0) were included. It is concluded that vital stressors during childhood increase the risk of anxiety disorders. New interventions are needed to prevent child maltreatment and associated morbidity.

Se construyó un índice socioeconómico con información de 1930, el cual se trasladó a características cuasiequivalentes de 2010 para la comparación. El objetivo fue medir los cambios socioeconómicos en el país a través de este índice, con la información disponible. Para validarlo, comparamos nuestros resultados con los del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi), los cuales fueron muy similares. Se aprecia un significativo avance de 1930 a 2010, aunque hay rezagos por atender. Durante el periodo hay un evidente crecimiento en el estrato medio de la población, pero existe una disminución en el estrato bajo. 

O objetivo da pesquisa é analisar a relação entre a mudança na estrutura etária e o crescimento econômico no Rio Grande do Sul, a partir dos Censos Demo- gráfcos de 1991, 2000 e 2010. Utilizam-se modelos econométricos espaciais. As variáveis demográfcas foram signifcativas para a convergência da renda per capita. O aumento da densidade demográfca e a qualidade de vida da população contribuem para o crescimento econômico. O aumento absoluto da população diminui a renda per capita, enquanto a faixa etária de pessoas com idade entre 35 e 45 anos são as que mais contribuem para o aumento da renda. 

The implementation of the wholesale electricity market aims to promote private invest- ment, give confdence and clarity, and achieve competitive prices. It is, then, transcen- dental to know its relevance and potential impact on the economic structure. In this paper the most recent input-output matrix of Mexico and structural analysis was used for accomplishing our goal. Te main results show that electricity is a key industry and its main supplier is the manufacture of petroleum products, also, that electricity is distributed to almost all industries. Finally, we simulate a price increase scenario to obtain the potential impact on the economic structure.

In this analysis are evaluated aspects of the Mexican electoral system such as alternation, political competition, and juxtaposed governments, which impact on the provision of local public services in Mexico. Using cross-section data corresponding to 2019 municipalities and information about local elections, through an econometric estimation, it is revealed that political competition has a positive relationship with the coverage of public services. However, the effect on local governments differs according to the odds of alternation. A Heckman model to eliminate selection bias generated by the political alternation is proposed.

The purpose of the study is to create a hedonic price model containing spatial effect by identifying the accommodation facilities’ characteristics that affect the roomrates in Antalya (Turkey) area. In this context, the data of 1444 hotels in Antalya was obtained. Since there was a spatial relationship between them, a spatial regressionmodel was proposed. Explanatory spatial data analysis was applied to variables by stepwise regression. The Hedonic Price Model was established using Spatial Lag Model and it reveals that it is applicable to similar studies.

This paper analyzes Brazilian human development profile. The data base was the level of human development comparative performance in Brazilian towns. Also, a logit model with panel data was estimated, aiming at identifying the elements which have some effect on the likelihood of a town to remain or to be inserted in the vicious circle of human underdevelopment over time. The study results pointed out improvements in the human development profile in Brazil, since the number of developed towns increased and there was a reduction in the number of towns which belonged to the human underdevelopment circle.
