Resumen
This article is the result of a first exploratory and descriptive inquiry about cleaning services outsourcing at the University of Costa Rica. It is based on documentary and social network content analyses, and on non-participant observation, to give account of the characteristics in which precarious labor is developed by one sector of the university community that has been made invisible. However, it lives in a space that still calls itself humanistic within the framework of the public university neoliberal “modernization”.

Resumen
In this article, I reconstruct and analyze the epistemic changes produced by liberalism and the development of capitalism in Modernity, which significantly altered the identities of men and women, the social imaginary about social and kinship relations, as well as the horizon of possibilities. In addition, I critically review the genealogy of the concept of “neoliberalism” in order to problematize its use by Academia and recover the usefulness of liberal ideas and values for feminism and for the women organizations, which, in the 21st. Century, they continue to struggle in order to obtain basic rights, such as the right to work under equal conditions.

The article analyzes on a general level the historic path of soccer in Guatemala, ElSalvador and Costa Rica since the beginning of its practice - in the late 19th century— to the middle of the 20th century. Likewise, it attempts to explain why soccer inthe two first countries failed to transmit a feeling of national ownership, and why inCosta Rica it obtained an important place in the imaginary collective one, mainly inthe Valle Central.

Resumen
Through a methodology based on the Protest Event Analysis (pea), the purpose of this work is to investigate the configuration and characteristics of the labor protest in the Costa Rican public sector during the period between 2013 and 2019. It is particularly interested in identify and characterize the behavior of this sector in terms of its actors, repertoires and demands. A discussion related to the defendants is also introduced. The work concludes that, in the case of Costa Rica, public sector labor protest occupies a central place in the general panorama of social protest in the country. Likewise, it postulates that the workers of the public sector resort predominantly to repertoires of institutional action to present their demands, although this trend is modified in periods of intensification of the political contest. Lastly, the demands show a double character inasmuch as the union / sectoral claims related to the defense of labor conditions persist as the main ones, but added to general demands related to campaigns against neoliberal policies and in defense of public institutionality.

Resumen
This article analyses the historical figure of the president of Costa Rica, Jesús Jiménez Zamora (Cartago, June 18, 1823-February 12, 1897) from the point of view of his aesthetic fabrication, in the middle of the xix Century and the beginning of the xx Century. The image of Jesús Jiménez has been studied, in detail, through the historical data of Costa Rica, considering his personality as well as his performance as a politician (President of Costa Rica during 1863-1866 and 1868-1870). This is what marks that the objective of this research has to do with his plastic representations, as well as his life as a youngster and then as a senior citizen. At the same time, it will also include his rhetorical representations as a moral and nationalistic person, from the point of view of some intellectual members through Costa Rica’s historical data.

Resumen
This article aims to analyze the configuration and characteristics of the Political Opportunities Structure (pos) that the social movement against the tax reform bill faced during 2018. The research is based, primarily, on the use of semi-structured interviews, through 2019, to over fifteen people directly involved to the repertories and dialog processes held during the strike in question. This leads to a scope of how difficult and closed were the institutional mechanisms to receive and handle demands during this series of protests.
