Resumen
This paper reviews facts and documents of world organisms that formed the discourse of sustainable development. It also, describes how sustainable development comes from two different readings or concepts, from very different impacts on society and planet: one built from the concepts of developed and another that builds an alternative discourse that takes into account the social representations and modes of production of the communities where natural resources are. The two languages are born from ideas that promote the continuation of different worlds: one, under the laws of the market and another that retrieves the (re) creation of the times and cultural and ecological niches. Also, under this second conception, briefly recounts an experience that has had a peasant organization of a “tunera” village of Puebla, Pue. and linked to an institute of higher education in Mexico.

Resumen
The purpose of this document is to provide information to strengthen actions that allow to contribute to mitigate the risk situation due to the presence of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POP´s). It begins with a description of such compounds and presenting data from studies that show its adverse effects in human and environmental health; besides proving its presence in Sonora, Mexico. Therefore, it’s necessary to orientate the population at risk over what to do about it and give some guidelines that international agencies recommend to take into account when designing a communication strategy. In the following up on these suggestions, results of an opinion poll on POP´s and implicated risks applied to agricultural laborers are shown, and based in the information needs that such population exhibits, the content of the communication program is outlined.

Resumen
The article discusses the proposal of the new realities of social and historical context and, in particular, the labor context, and its relation to youth’s contemporary condition, understood as a concept that establishes a reference from which we can understand the multiplicity of ways of being young in the different contexts. The first part develops the route of the notion of youth condition, in the light of its theoretical displacements, according to the different trends that have reconceptualized it, in a second stage, it gives account of how the employment context, from its different forms it has taken in late modernity, build up the identifications of young people in the workplace as social space for relationships.

Resumen
The paper's purpose is to understand the role of Brazilian construction Companies in the integration process in South America. The construction Companies operating in the South American market are present since the 70s, however, it is in the context of the Initiative for the Integration of Regional Infrastructure in South America (IIRSA) and during Lula’s government, that the Brazilian transnationals assume a role in Brazilian Foreign Policy’s (PEB) strategy. To understand the dilemmas and the interests between state and enterprises, the differences between the internationalization process of the 70s and the current are outlined, as well as the ideological transformations that constitute the paradigm of PEB and the mechanisms of government support. The methodology is based on qualitative research, biographical research, as well as interviews and research in the archives of the Foreign Relations Ministry (Itamaraty). The conclusion is that construction companies are elements of a strategic policy, in which Brazil has interests that are beyond the discourse of regional integration.

Resumen
Under the justification of a sensation of insecurity, two of the richest municipalities in Chile implemented a controversial surveillance system of air balloons with next-generation cameras. Originally designed for war and border control, municipalities sought to address the “war on crime” and manage public space more efficiently. These air balloons immediately generated opposition because of the invasion of privacy and hyper-surveillance in which it involves the city. This paper empirically addresses the various discourses made by those involved in the controversy, the maintenance operations of this surveillance system, as well as the ways in which people live daily with it. Through the analysis of these dynamics, the article shows how this foreign technology acquires a particular vision of the city that depends on entities and forces not always considered in public discourses.

Resumen
In this article we focus on the “brasiguaios” issue, underlining the dilemmas that it poses to the projected Brazilian regional influence. We begin analyzing the literature on the matter produced in Brazil and Paraguay, as well as in some other countries. After that, we sketch the historical context in which massive Brazilian migration towards the neighboring country has occurred. Then we analyze the impact of the expansion of soybean culture in Paraguay, which has been accelerated in the 2000’s, and is referred to a productive model spread by transnational corporations that has increased social conflicts in the rural area, also involving brasiguaios. To end, we present elements that point out to a Brazilian State policy that supports this regional expansion of agribusiness, a fact that suggests a contradiction in Brazilian international policy, considering that brasiguaios were among the powerful sectors that endorsed the conspiracy that shortened Fernando Lugo’s mandate in June 2012, process that contradicts brazilian diplomacy.

Resumen
This article aims to describe the connection between political subjectivization and construction of identity of the people involved in the “movimiento por la salud digna” (movement for dignified health) in Chiloé, occurred in 2013. The results show that the subjectivization processes are closely linked with the identity of these people, to the extent that identity is experienced as the movement between a negative assertion: the nostalgic experience for a lost past –related to shared values– and a positive assertion: the commitment –closely associated to the desire of being an actor, that characterizes subjectivization–. Additionally it is possible to establish that subjectivization is a political exercise of de-identification and subsequent re-identification, due to the understanding that the health problem is not an individual issue, nor that it occurs only in this particular territory. On the contrary, that it is a collective and generalized problem in the whole country, connected to a political adversary: the Chilean State.

Resumen
The experience of sexuality in youth cultures own spaces of amusement, is a phenomenon that has been considered only few times at the moment of constructing preventive policy directed to the youngsters in Chile. It’s in the youth cultures own stages –associated with their spaces of leisure and particularly, the carrete–where urban youngsters, men and women, experiment and perform different approaches to sexuality. On the other hand, it’s in the carrete experience and its relation with occasional sexuality where body issues arise in youth cultures, which refuses to be regulated from a preventive norm that wont consider its own temporalities and codes. This article exposes the results of an ethnographic research on youth cultures sexuality in four regions of Chile, which by approaching the carrete scenario, aims to reach a new point of view for preventive policies which -through a harm reduction perspective- can help to obtain a better knowledge and comprehension of the contexts and situations in which young people exercise and develop their sexuality.

Resumen
The author enhances the lack of prominence of women in pre-twentieth century history, from the dominance of patriarchal patterns, in a context of inequality, discrimination and violence springing from organized social power relations. Then locates this cultural context in the exercise of power in Latin America, and its links to femininity, ethnicity and poverty, to the processes of constitution of subjectivity, and to its relation to language processes. Finally proposes that the culture of terror in which we are locked must be demolished, and invites us to open to the heterogeneity of Latin American reality.

Resumen
The author defines primarily that the environmental realm, as an object of historical study ,is a field at construction, which deals with the interactions between human societies and the natural world, and the consequences of these interactions for both sides along time. To clarify the definition, explores the internal structure of the field and the process leading to its formation. He proposes hen that a Latin American environmental history faces new challenges if it aspires to be universal, and that this is what will allow to work with those who, in the framework of the North's ecological culture, share the same concerns about the impact of civilization on the natural world. Finally argues that what is at stake is the need for a planetary history.
