This article presents an analysis of transformations in the world of work that has brought about the post-Fordist mode of production, fueled by the global crisis of global capitalism, as well as by the consequences for employment and productivity of the young population of Latin America. The fact that cognition, language and communication the most powerful focus of immaterial production that reconfigure today the landscape of these societies in transit, makes youth a sector rapidly incorporated to changes, hardly hit by the disruption of  liberal economy and, in turn, subject of openness to new forms of social economy. The creative ability of youth subjectivities gives them a place in the exploration of new productive worlds where development is no longer related to economic processes, but the configuration of new forms of life.

In this article, the diverse aspects that affect strongly in current energetic Chilean scene are analyzed critically, especially those regarding the politics of integration with his Latin-American neighbors, from where it can also be glimpsed a sustainable solution to future energetic problems.

Human beings are a highly complex suprasystem, but more or less integrated. The level of harmonic integration determines their personality development and maturity degree. All these imposses an extremely arduous and difficult task or mission to education, in which frequently many educators and other professionals, that work in human development, fail. The overcoming of theses difficulties rests on a theoretical and practical knowledge about the different levels of the areas to be developed in professions focused on helping. This is the task that this brief study tries to illustrate, assuming a psychological and pedagogical approach.

This paper shows the process through which,  starting with a group of institutions, conventions, concepts, methods, categories, rules, and discursive practices, not only an area in dispute is defined, but an entire agenda which builds and rebuilds through decades, a political and cultural project that transforms the dominant patriarchal cultures in the former so-called Third World countries.

Social movements (SM) are repeated collective actions, of confrontation or institutional overflowing, with expressions more or less organized related to a claim. Sustained actions on claims and demands, which do not identify with the institutions that generate them. The communication from the perspective of the subject becomes a vehicle of the claims. Popular communication strengthens the internal collective action, while, on the other hand, the mass media dismantle the image of the subjects emphasizing their interest in the service of firms, corporations and conglomerates. Some experiences in rural Uruguayan allow us to think: Is it possible that SM are educational spaces and constitute educational subjects? What role does popular communication has inside and outside the SM? How can we deal with the media tthat trivialize and distort the struggle of SM? The study of SM, is it an academic task or an activist task?

In 1986, one of the first organizations was formed in Talca to combat domestic and sexual violence was created, Casa Yela. Conformed primarily by popular-sector women, this small NGO was able to establish its own battered women´s shelter in 1995. What most interests us in this article is the way in which Casa Yela was formed, on an endogenous and exogenous level, in terms of its configuration as a group and its insertion within a web of other organizations. Of particular interest to the specialized literature on social movements and popular-sector women, our study proposes that Casa Yela rose up against two main challenges during its development –a chronic lack of resources and a fluctuating relationship with the state. We will explore the ways in which Casa Yela navigated this situation and we will use this case study to sketch some ideas about the relationship between grassroots organizations and the state during the period of study.

The article presents some conclusions of the investigation about the representation of the Argentine State in the political discourse of social movement “Madres de la Plaza de Mayo” during 2001-2002. For such effect, a critical analysis of the discourse in order to identify how the discursive elements developed by this social movement during the foresaid period utilizes a set of discursive elements that limit or strengthen the meaning of the notion of State in Argentina, as well as it states the meaningful relations that this has for the democratic development of a country. This on the bases of the theoretical perspective worked by Joseph Courtés, Louis Panier and Jonathan Potter

This article intends to analyze how youth and the characteristics socially assigned to them emerge in a festive scenario, very influenced by the entertainment industry, based on the commodification process of the carnival from a brazilian city, Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais (MG). For this, a study about the city’s carnival was made in 2009 using the qualitative approach and combining bibliographic, documentary and field research. Without ignoring the numerous possibilities of appropriation of the individuals can have in the time-space of the festivity, which is plural, we identified youth as being the main product sold in the entertainment market, allied to specific ways of being young, to looks and styles bound to forms of experiencing carnival. The festivity, that until very recently used to happen on the streets of the city with the unpaid participation of revelers, became a paid, private and destined to the young public super production.

This paper explores the human conception in which corporate social responsibility (RSE) and business ethics (EE) lay.  According to the result of this research, such notion is a fault conception of the human being that can function as ideology in Marx and Engels (1982; 1846) sense. The human vocation in business ethics, corporate social responsibility and its philosophy is confronted with the useful sense of management under the businessman way of life. This contradiction is seen in practice when the businessmen are trying to be honest, fair and responsible and at the same time follow economic goals. In one side is the universal and human side (equality, fraternity, security, justice and human right and environment care) of the firm; and in the other side, the domain of the alienated labor in capitalism. This fundamental contradiction originates the moral problem of the enterprise and of businesses now a days, which seems that has no solution within the capitalistic way of life.
