In this work, an experimental study of low cycling fatigue in reinforced concrete elements with dominant flexural behavior is developed. The reinforced concrete elements are subjected to cycles of displacement until rupture. A total of two bending beams were tested. In each cycle, the degradation of the resistance and rigidity due to the effect of low cycling fatigue is evaluated. Preliminary results and observations are presented and discussed. The tests are relevant to develop an analytical model of non-linear behavior that describes the degradation of strength and rigidity of reinforced concrete structures subjected to severe earthquakes

This research was carried out using mathematical models in order to compare the runoff from an urban planning with handmade tiles roofs in actual conditions, with one where structures or storage devices and water retention in houses, yards are used, parcels, streets and housing complexes in general. A study area in the state of Lara, Venezuela, in Palavecino municipality, near Quebrada Tabure, was selected and green roofs are considered from the point of view of reducing runoff. An application called "TechosVerdes.py" was made under the license free Python program with approximately 4600 code lines was developed to calculate hydrographs from roofs, patios, streets and green areas, based on a mosaic created with type raster images in the Quantum Gis program. The research was based on the direct comparison of thirteen scenarios where green roofs were used and additionally, storage tanks and parapets, with an original scenario on current conditions without alterations. In the hydrographs produced by hypothetical scenarios it was determined that the peak flow decreases squashing the hydrograph

The present investigation focused on establishing a characterization of public used reinforced concrete constructions such as school units in the coastal zone of Chichiriviche and Tucacas in Venezuela’s Falcon State, exposed to highly corrosive environments and built with inadequate construction techniques. The ultimate aim was to make recommendations to regional bodies so that they could make structural interventions more precisely and assertively. The study was carried out in seven educational units, in which planimetric surveys were carried out, the collection of fault symptoms, tests in some structural members and finally a general evaluation of damages that allowed identifying their durability and particular recommendations for each school building. As a result, these units of different construction ages were in a better state of conservation, when compared directly to the sample evaluated in 2006 in private multifamily buildings, which were even younger than this sample. It was recommended for all cases that they apply a programmed and technical continuous maintenance system, which goes beyond the systems of paints whose substrate is not properly prepared, resulting in a process of superficial repair and aesthetic ineffective.

Recently, there has been progress in space technology, becoming this progress on a key piece in the study and monitoring of the main environmental parameters from Earth observation platforms. This process is supported by a large number of passive sensors that capture the spectral, spatial and temporal variations of electromagnetic waves emitted and / or reflected by each material element of nature, generating images on land then analyzed using specific softwares and Remote Sensing techniques. This field research describes procedures for nephanalysis or cloud analysis through visible images transmitted from the satellite GOES by two tools: the call Dot Matrix and AutoCAD. It aims to create alternatives that serve as background and innovative contribution in the area of Climate Science to complement the diagnosis, prognosis and modeling of atmospheric dynamics, but primarily as a teaching alternative in physics. Four images obtained at the Department forecast SERMETAVIA-Barquisimeto were used. They were selected according to the following criteria: Satellite Source, Image Type, Geo- referential Scale and Multitemporal Registration. These were processed with the tools above, achieving estimate the cloud area of Venezuela, yielding values close between AutoCAD and Dot Matrix areas. It can be said that this last tool can be used as a technique to estimate cloudy areas and at the same time as a educational resource for teaching contents of Physics and Electromagnetism, Optics, Modern Physics and others involved in the physical principles to generate a satellite image

The aim of this study is to analyze the trends and prospects of application of models of Technological Change (CT) + Accumulation of Capital (AC) on productivity and human capital industries Tarapoto, San Martin, 2014. The type of study was descriptive and longitudinal cutting trends. Non-probability sampling with a sample of 8 companies was used. The survey use categories and related codes Likert scale. The instrument was validated by Cronbach’s Alpha reached 0.85. The information was processed using the program SPSS. The statistical test used was Wilcoxon and Mc Newmar. The results show that technological change influenced production (29%) increased by activating stocks and inventories. They arranged for new technologies due to the incorporation of research and development (21%). They used more competitive edge production factors improving productivity (27%). They took advantage of the opportunity cost through new investment options (22%). The accumulation of asset disposal of human capital (29%) and the production function (21%) capital. The study shows that the model Cost of Economic Growth (EEC) shows positive trends in economic growth in the region of San Martín, since technological change influences productivity (0.018 with a p value <0.05) and accumulation capital in human capital (0.036 with a p value <0.05)

It analyzes the link between the manufacturing and automotive sector in the federal entities of the northern border of Mexico (Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas). It provides empirical evidence that the growth dynamics of the automotive sector in this region has driven the manufacturing growth. A model is estimated with panel data of the production of manufacturing in the entities of the region. The results suggest that the automotive industry, without being the only factor, is driving the growth of manufacturing in the northern region of the country. This creates important benefits in variables, such as IED, employment, production, and manufacturing rating among others.

For decades, the northern Mexican border registered economic and demographic growth above national average. Today, these levels of growth were fueled in part by high rates of labor immigration. Nowadays, this region is experiencing historic lows of incoming labor migration. This lack of labor migration comes as a result of a recomposition in quantity and sociodemographic characteristics of labor migration. Using data from Emif Norte, we explore some on the main changes behind this recomposition. As an example, we present the situation in Ciudad Juarez.

The main objective of this research is the public and massive construction of social interest housing, executed between 2005 and 2015 in the Iribarren and Palavecino municipalities of Lara State, Venezuela, in order to continue the investigation carried out in the years between 1994 and 2005, through the determination of evaluation parameters related to the design and construction characteristics of town planning and housing. It is a field research, not experimental descriptive, the representation shows 355 houses in 5 urbanisms. The relevant results showed a better architectural distribution of the houses than the ones developed in previous years, it showed an 80 % of urban equipment, 20,56% of the houses enclosures problems, 26,42% problems  related to the soil, 16.9% reveals the entry of  rain water and through windows 12.68% presents rain water entry  through the door. Although the percentages of housing failures have been reduced, the percentages of faults in infrastructure services have increased, that is, better homes that lack basic services have been built. Recommending taking advantage of the identified opportunities for improvement.
