Considering commercial operations globalization, world-class companies anchored in developing countries require the inclusion of new theories and practices that allow them, through diagnostic techniques, to identify systems flaws to increase their local and regional competitiveness. In this meaning, it is proposed as a first instance, a qualitative study, with a non-probabilistic sample of case type, achieving a phenomenon understanding, to propose future quantitative research on this sector. The companies analyzed are called world-class production of consumer products, with local and regional presence. Within main results, it is emphasized that both theories show an incidence at the macro level in the competitiveness of the organizations (Laws, regulations and distribution). Another aspect is the need of real-time knowledge about operations, to make necessary correctives derived from the results of Restriction Theory and Systemic Approach (Business Intelligence Application (BI)).

Since 1990-2012, basic primary education has been a priority in Honduras’ education policy, with similar importance in the Millennium Development Goals. The objective of this study is to identify and quantify the determinants of school enrollment, grade promotion, and graduation rates in primary school, and to reach an understanding of the role of various factors in the timely completion of primary education by Honduras’ youth. This work aims primarily to quantify the relationship between education outcomes and socio-economic and policy variables to inform the MAMS general equilibrium model of Honduras, but it also serves to identify the policies that are most likely to improve outcomes and reach development objectives. We find that socio-economic and policy variables vary in their impact in education outcomes. We conclude that there are significant opportunities for policy makers to increase the impact of policies on education outcomes, particularly the effectiveness of spending on timely education achievement, but also though improvements in socio-economic conditions. A key lesson of this study is that it provides a rigorous example of how to analyze the effect of policy on outcomes, requiring detailed data and proper statistical technique to provide better information when making policy decisions.

The factories have to implement operations programs, in order not only to improve competitiveness, but also to maintain a continuous improvement that allows them to face the challenges due to the constant changes in the industrial context. Among such programs, technology management (GT) and manufacturing strategy (EM) could be an important factor in improving competitiveness. The purpose of this study is to verify empirically the relationship between both programs in the machinery and electronics industries, taking into account some contextual variables. To evaluate the established hypotheses, we use the database of the international project of High Performance Manufacturing (HPM) and hierarchical regression analysis. The findings show that for both sectors the incorporation of GT improved competitiveness. However, only one of the contextual variables, productive capacity of the factory, has a consistent relationship with competitiveness in the electronics sector.

The big world corporations and the transnationals have always tried to subdue the States and governments, through the power of money and in this way also have control over the strategic resources of the countries of the periphery, mainly of Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. East. These same transnationals are those that contribute and finance campaigns of some political parties, in order to use the media to guide the vote of citizens in the different countries in order to position the candidate of their preference, who do not always have the better government programs.
