Resumen
There is no doubt that Constantine was essential in the official representation of who holds the imperial power in the Later Roman Empire. It has been written and analysed a lot about the way of the public construction of his figure was executed, especially through official instruments as encomiastic literature, inscriptions, coins, statuary, or even legislation. All of them were ideal mechanisms for the transmission of his image, stressing on the possession of attributes and abilities that legitimized him and showed him equipped with virtues usually valued in the Roman emperor. For this purpose not only were used certain epithets in order to describe his figure. In this sense the way in which the emperor’s human face and feelings were highlighted also participated of this intention and it can be singularly observed in two of the official channels used: panegyrici and imperial constitutions.

The administrative querella was a procedure that allowed the Roman citizens to present complaints motivated by fraudulent management of magistrates or imperial subalterns before the prince or his high officers. This juridical recourse (although it had precedents in the Tetrarchy), was regulated in Constantine’s laws. Nevertheless, it started to be used as a to make accusations before the emperor under the Valentinian and the Theodosian periods.

Resumen
The article describes Macedonian and Illyrian relationships from the beginnings of the fourth century up to Philipp II’s victory over Bardalys in 358 BC. Modalities of political authority construction and territorial organization are considered keys in the comprehension of the Illyrian expansion during that period, the characteristics of those relationships and the later Macedonian recovery.

Resumen
This article publishes a new inscription recently discovered by chance in the Alcazaba of Mérida. It is a granite stela commemorating Volesia Q. f. Celsa, a girl who died at the age of four in the second half of the 1st century AD. The location where this funerary monument appeared, built into one of the walls of the Arab fortress, leads us to consider the question of the reuse of spolia in its construction and more specifically that of the epigraphic monuments from the Roman period.

Resumen
From Alexander the Great to our days, the iconic tradition of the West Art has recreated the glory of its rulers. The assimilation of the ruler with the divinity brought with it the process of deification after death for his memory and eternal glory. With these lines we propose an approach to the iconographic prototypes associated with the deification concepts of the Roman emperors (Apotheosis and mythological portraits), from their genesis to the imperial era.
