The approach to the documentary work of the LUCE Institute and the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture is decisive in understanding the history of rural documentary in Italy and Spain because it allows us to delve into the study of peasant communities during fascism and Francoism respectively. The present work wants to deal with knowing and identifying how the creation of a female identity was conceived, attending, mainly, to the role played by some institutions such as le scuole rurali or school farms, with figures such as the Assistants of Domestic Economy, within these agrarian societies.

Horapolo in Hieroglyphica tries to unravel the already lost meaning of Egyptian hieroglyphics, and although his work is not linguistic, he manages to pick up some characteristic behaviors of the lion used in the Egyptian tradition. This tradition has some ideas related to power or strength from the lion, which links the monarch. The objective of this study is to see how these meanings develop from the pagan to the Christian through Hieroglyphica, giving rise to the creation of other meanings such as bravery or vigilance that are so appreciated in the Christian man, and that even survive. in modern art.

The aim of this article is to interpret a possible patronage of the House of Austria of some of the 18th century paintings preserved in the parish of San Andrés, now the church of San Juan de la Cruz. This hypothesis is analyzed based on the location of the Pastoral Visit of 1667 to the old parish. Through the primary source, we will present the characters that venerated with votive lamps the body of Francisco Jerónimo Simón - better known as Pare Simó (1578-1612) and whose remains were located in that chapel. Among them some members of the House of Austria stand out. The data obtained will allow to recuperate one of the most controversial events of the seventeenth century religious and social history of the parish of San Andrés, as well as of the Valencian society.

In 1708 the Franciscan friar Antonio Cabrera of Córdoba published his work Glorias de el Señor D. Felipe Quinto, in whose frontispiece included an engraving of Juan Bautista Ravanals in which the monarch was represented on horseback defeating his rivals. The formula was not, of course, original, but is based on conventional schemes consolidated by the visual tradition and maintained by other similar iconographic types. He is accompanied by a series of texts in which he insists on divine help to his cause in the context of the War of Succession.

Taichung Central Park in Taiwan, also known as Jade Eco Park, was designed by the Swiss architect Philippe Rahm and was inaugurated in 2018. On the basis of the analysis of the environmental conditions of the site, it configures the outer space according to different values of temperature, humidity and pollution. For this aim, passive and natural elements are used, intertwined with mechanical devices that use renewable energies. At this time of increasingly adverse outdoor weather conditions, the technology used in this project can be very useful for urban developments in hot areas. This article uses the description of the project to show the link between the atmospheric perspectives of Phillippe Rahm, with the theoretical approaches previously developed by György Kepes or Richard Buckminster Fuller on an urban scale. Furthermore, it is intended to reflect on the suitability of using these urban conditioning systems in order to improve the external conditions in other areas such as those in the Mediterranean region. Although the environmental characteristics of the implemented technology are intrinsically related to the phenomenological conception of the project, it attempts to highlight those actions that, beyond providing a sensory experience, have a specific climatic use and could be easily adapted for this purpose in other projects.

he climate of the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico, features certain particular weather conditions. From the sunlight to the layout of the coastal cities that maintain a relationship with the coastal zone and its expressions, mainly with respect to wind and humidity. The study of adaptive comfort allows these cities to stand as study areas for extreme climates, where hostile conditions end up marking variations in collective comfort, while the study of urban conditions allows us to define some design and architecture guidelines. The analysis of wind physics, the adequate selection of vegetation and its layout, as well as the consideration of the surface materials allow us to understand the relationship between the coastal ecosystem and its use for the conditions of the urban habitat. The conclusions obtained are aimed at posing some new questions both for the peninsula itself as well as for cities with a similar climatic condition.

The houses of Italica can be associated with those of Herculaneum and Pompeii as essential references of Roman residential architecture in history books. They are also a reference in architecture books which highlight them as the conceptual origin of modern patio houses. Recent research on the Casa del Patio Rodio, now the Casa Demetrio de los Ríos, and the Casa de la Cañada Honda offer new information which confirms and contextualises a very specific typology which has barely been examined. For this analysis, we will use the set of four Roman houses which have the most information: Casa del Planetario, Casa de los Pájaros, Casa Demetrio de los Ríos and Casa de la Cañada Honda. This work intends to update understanding of the uniqueness of these residences, and to analyse their validity as a reference for useful and efficient local architecture, created from knowledge and use of natural resources of the environment and the climatic behaviour of the location.
