Resumen
This work explores the textual space between fiction, autobiography, political discourse, and historical discourse in the specific circumstances of Chilean colonial texts, where the theme of war functions as a basis for the text and informs its subjectivity. With regard to Francisco de Pineda y Bascuñán’s Cautivero Feliz..., this piece proposes that the overlap between subjectivity, history, scripture, and war, figures in Chilean colonial dialogues as a “history of consciousness” founded in critical negativity, in such a way that the narrative setting of the War of Chile exposes a story of Modern History.

Resumen
In this article, two examples of elegies in Spanish and Chilean poetry are studied: “En mitad de la noche” by the Spanish poet Eloy Sánchez Rosillo, and “El arte de la elegía” by the Chilean poet, Rafael Rubio. The ritual function of these texts is investigated through the visualization of situated poetic scenes which, in both cases, refer to the death of the father. Likewise, dialogues and encounters with both poets are established in relation to the anthropological and philosophical problem linked to the death of the other. These elegies are also situated in the wider context of the elegy tradition of western literature.

Resumen
Firstly, this article proposes an approach to the national construction of the story of the Falkland Islands. Secondly, it also analyzes the literature which deals with the Falklands war from three narrative periods: 1982-1989, 1990-2001 and 2002-2017. Periodization responds to different generations but also to the social processes that have accompanied the political and cultural transformation in Argentina. Finally, this article analyzes the most representative works of each period, in order to identify the main genres, plots and narrative conflicts that have emerged up to this moment.
