Resumen
Hansen’s disease (HD) is caused by Mycobacterium leprae. It has a chronic course and preferentially affects the skin and the peripheral nerves. It´s an emergent infection in Chile due to migration waves. This case report affecting a migrant worker from Haiti that presented several compatible skin lesions, with hypoesthesia and unilateral madarosis that appeared before arrival. The diagnosis of a multibacillary form was established by clinical findings, presence of fast acid bacilli on a direct skin smear, and inflammatory cell surrounding nerve endings and granulomas on skin biopsy. Besides, specific rpoB and hsp65 gene segments from M. leprae were amplified from skin samples. Patient was treated with the WHO standard combined regimen for multibacillary forms during one year showing partial regression of skin lesions. Nasopharyngeal samples showed the presence of M. leprae rpoB copies detected by PCR decreasing until six months of therapy. Notifiable diseases databases showed a recent increment of cases, all related to migrant population. Hansen´s disease is a new condition in Chile and clinicians should be aware of this possibility. Molecular tools may facilitate diagnosis and follow up.

Resumen
In the last eleven months, we have diagnosed 9 cases of Histoplasmosis in our country. All patients affected were from endemic areas of South-America. Here, we wish to inform and prevent to all clinical laboratories from Chile about the presence of Histoplasma capsulatum in clinical samples. In the same way we want to prepare and raising awareness of the strengthening of biosecurity measures.

Resumen
Results in impedance spectroscopy show high values in electrical conductivity (10-3-10- 4 S / cm) in Co3O4 + PVOH samples, with sweeps temperature between 80 and 200 °C, this indicate a strong structural bond between the ions of Co3+Co2+ and its surroundings with the system, finding activation energy ∼ 1.13 eV for the cobalt ion, adjusting by means of the Arrhenius model. The frequency sweeps show a dynamic behavior reflected in the graphs of the imaginary part of the electrical module and the impedance between 42 Hz and 5 MHz, allowing the adjustment and data analysis of a RC circuit with order of capacitance values of 10-9 nF. The results of the conductance frequently show a behavior that obeys the universal law of relaxation of Jonscher (σ = σdc + α ωn) with values obtained for the exponent n (0,7• n • 1), also the graphs of the Peak relaxation frequency ωp vs. Temperature shows a process thermally activated with the same energy of ion activation.

Resumen
The world is living a steady increase in the electric power demand, an alternative power generation different to conventional is the renewable energy. With the appearance of the Law 1715, Colombia has an incentives policy for the integration of new projects in renewable energies. Because of that, is important to develop studies with real data in the field of the potential of renewable energy resources which can be implemented. This article presents the analysis of the wind generation potential of Túquerres Savanna, located in the department of Nariño. The potential was obtained from the measurement of the wind speed, during the period between the months of June and December of the year 2015. The data were analyzed statistically according to a measure of central tendency, frequency distribution and Weibull distribution for the normalization of scattered data; finally, the power density was calculated according to a horizontal axis wind turbine and the electrical generation potential of the area was simulated. The average wind speeds are 4,4 m/s and the power density founded is 3,47 W/m2.

Resumen
The science’s didactic as a discipline in consolidation, is built through several lines of research, including The Professional Knowledge of the Teacher, which arises because of the need to understand how teachers in training and in the exercise of a unique knowledge of their profession. The DOC Axes (Dynamic, Obstruction and Questioning), constitute a conceptual and methodological device of reflexive order on the aspects that are articulated in the construction of the Professional Knowledge of the Professor. Accordingly, the results of an IA process are presented, where a teacher in training, understands that Evaluation and Teaching Strategy (School Research), are constituted in Axes DOC which contribute in their training process as biology’s teacher. Derived from the case study it is possible to show two characteristics of the DOC Axes (Dynamic, Obstruction and Questioning) the temporal coexistence of the axes on a knowledge and the possibility of its transformation. Thus, it is considered that the Axes DOC, is a conceptual proposal that not only in the didactic research, but also in the formative processes, makes contributions both in the understanding and in the transformation and enrichment of professional knowledge.

Resumen
For this work, a constructivist didactic proposal was designed in which the students of the third year of General Media Education can acquire a significant learning in the use of Scientific Notation. The type of research used is among feasible projects with a non-experimental field design. For data collection, the survey technique was used, which was applied to 43 students of the Physics subject of the third year of the Liceo Rosario Almarza Trujillo-Venezuela. The analysis of the results indicated that they present deficiencies in terms of significant numbers and order magnitude, which are essential mathematical aspects for the understanding and use of Scientific Notation in the area of Physics, as well as highlighting the need for Implement other teaching and learning strategies, such as a series of complementary activities for the teacher in the classroom or the student. In view of these results, a didactic guide was carried out using the known mathematical aspects and various ludic activities to extend the notion and use of scientific notation.

Resumen
The scientific inquiry has been the focus of multiples researches in the last decades, some support and others discredit its effectiveness in learning in relation to more traditional teaching models such as transmission-reception, that for this study, are integrated into laboratory practices consistent with the respective methodologies. The main objective of the research is to determine which of these teaching methodologies have the greatest influence in the learning of the concept of density as property of matter in the levels of knowledge, understanding, and implementation after the intervention of such strategy; inquiry in the experimental group and, transmission-reception in the control group, and, furthermore, characterize the levels of inquiry reached by the different teams formed to carry out the laboratory practices of the group subjected to said strategy and related it to learning. To achieve this is used the quantitative paradigm of investigation and a quasi-experimental design of transversal type with pre-and post-test. The results show conclusively that the scientific inquiry present best results in learning the concept in question, other than the methodology of contrast with an average of (10,59) and (8,18) respectively, statically corroborated by a test T that shows a significant level of 0,017. In addition, the laboratory team that presented the best level of inquiry also obtained the best average in the post-test, nevertheless, unlike the team with the lowest performance in the inquiry, exceeded the rest of the teams in said average.

Resumen
Objective: This cross-sectional study aims to comparatively analyze drug prescriptions from the traditional basic health care service (Basic Health Units - BHU) with those from Family Health Strategy (FHS). Methods: A total of 1053 prescriptions were included, allocated in two groups: 932 from BHU and 121 from FHS. These prescriptions were analyzed according with compliance to legally required items and quality indicators (presence of antimicrobials, presence of injectable, use of the official name, use of the list of essential drugs, average of drugs prescribed). Results: The ESF prescriptions were more complete regarding the presence of the prescriber’s address (82.6% BHU, 96.7% FHS), the absence of erasures and overwritten words (90.3% BHU, 96.7% FHS) and with compliance to legally required items related to use of drugs, being: pharmaceutical form (70.7% BHU, 80.2% FHS), dose (70.9% BHU, 79.3% FHS), posology (63.0% BHU, 75.2% FHS), administration route (58.3% BHU, 83.5% FHS) and time of therapy (76.9% BHU, 92.6% FHS). The results of the indicators of quality of prescription are approximated in both models of basic attention and according to the recommended values, with the exception of the average of drugs prescribed, which showed a tendency to polypharmacy at county (3.9 drugs per prescription at the BHU and 3.5 at the FHS). Conclusion: although the results reveal inappropriate practices in drug prescription at Primary Health Care services as a whole, there are evidence that prescriptions from FHS are closer to the ideal pattern, which may favor the Rational Use of Drugs.

Resumen
Juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM) is a rare, multisystem, autoimmune disease, characterized by skin and striated muscle vasculitis. In children is the most frequent idiopathic inflammatory myopathy. This case consists in an 11-year old female patient consulted her Family and Community Physician (FCP) with maculopapular rash of the dorsal surface of the metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints of the hands, malar erythema, macular lesions on the extensor surface of the elbows and knees, and reduced muscle strength of the limbs. The fact that the FCP have been aware of these clinical manifestations and made an early referral to Rheumatology for suspected dermatomyositis, allowed a prompt treatment, and a decrease impact of the disease. After making a diagnosis, FCP continues with an active role in the identification of the disease complications and assessing their impact on family dynamics.

Resumen
At the 23rd Cartographic Consultation Meeting, which was held in October 2017 in Panama City, I was appointed editor of the Revista Cartográfica. I assumed the position of editor in November of 2017, therefore, the number 96 of this magazine began with the previous editor, Msc. Valéria Araujo, and it was finished under my new management. Aware of the work involved in the publication of a magazine that will publish its 100th in the year 2020, I assume the management of this prestigious publishing house with the intention of continuing with the wonderful efforts of previous editors. In particular, my goal is to promote the magazine more widely, thus improving its quality and ensuring that it appears in as many indexes as possible. Issue 96 of the Revista Cartográfica offers readers nine papers. These papers are diverse in the methodolgies and technologies which are of central concern to this journal (Cartography, Geodesy and Geospatial Information, in general). Noteworthy, too, is the diversity of countries from where the papers presented in this issue originate: Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, Uruguay, Spain and Portugal.
