Resumen
The present study describes the structural evaluation of an informally built reinforced concrete house in Ecuador, which has several structural pathologies. As a starting point, problems were identified, the causes were analyzed and a diagnosis of the current state was formulated. Subsequently, an analytical study of the house reinforced with the veneer system was carried out, as well as the reference budget that this reinforcement would have. The results that were obtained demonstrate the effectiveness of the system since it provides rigidity and resistance to the structure, making it comply with the earthquake-resistant philosophy at a low cost

Resumen
Advances in asphalt technology lead to the search for alternative materials, which currently contribute to improve their properties and at the same time contribute to reducing environmental pollution. In this document of literary compilation of articles carried out between the years 2015 - 2021 in different databases, with the aim of knowing the benefits in the properties of asphalt mixtures, such as the optimal size, percentage of particles and improvements to the incorporate polymers. Fifty articles indexed in the ESBCO, Science Direct, ProQuest, Scielo, IOP Science, Scopus and WorldWideScience database were reviewed, on the use of polymers in asphalt mixtures, with the keywords polymers of rubber in asphalt, recycled rubber in asphalt mixtures, Influence of rubber size on asphalt, rubber for asphalt mix, Recycled Rubber; with which more information was obtained regarding the subject, concluding in this research that incorporating the polymer presents improvements in the mechanical properties of the asphalt, taking into account the percentage of polymer to be added

Resumen
The objective of this research is to determine the influence of slag as a global aggregate on compressive strength, bending and workability for a concrete f'c=20594 kPa. Steel slag was used in 10%, 15% and 20% as fine aggregate, in this way an alternative for the use of recycled materials is shown, in order to create an efficient and economical concrete, as well as friendly with the environment, where there is a large amount of steel slag, coming from workshops and companies dedicated to metal structures. This is due to the fact that they use steel welding, in order to minimize environmental contamination, since it would be shown that the steel slag would have a good behavior for the development of an experimental concrete. The method used is quantitative, using data observation panels as a data collection tool, they use inferential statistics of the data obtained to demonstrate hypotheses. It was concluded that the breakage, wear and elasticity tests carried out at 7, 14 and 28 days provided the optimal design to use 10% for the use of recycled steel slag in the three pre-established objectives

Resumen
Several studies on the analysis of the bearing capacity of foundations have been based on the 1920 work of Professor Ludwig Prandtl entitled “Über die härte plastischer körper” (On the hardness of plastic bodies). However, it is not common to find references that present the different considerations behind original proposal. For example, that the proposed method is of theoretical origin, without empirical validation, and that it was not formulated for soils or foundations, since its objective was to evaluate the hardness of a solid material, by determining the stress that produces its total plastification. Considering the above, a rigorous version of the complete original article by Prandtl from 1920 is presented, adapted from German to Spanish. With that, it is expected to contribute to the knowledge about the principles and limits of validity, of the widely known Prandtl-Wedge, which represents one of the pillars of the methods for the geotechnical design of shallow foundations.

Resumen
The first late-Cambrian aged palynomorph assemblage of Bolivia is presented. The sampled material comes from the Cambro-Ordovician Iscayachi Formation cropping out in the Antenna of the Sierra de Sama, Tarija department, southern Bolivia. The palynomorph assemblage occurs in levels correlated to the Parabolina (Neoparabolina) frequens argentina trilobite biozone. It is comprised of Acanthodiacrodium spp., Cristallinium cambriense, Cymatiogalea cf. C. aspergillum, C. velifera, C. virgulta, Dasydiacrodium spp., Eliasum llaniscum, Impluviculus multiangularis, Ladogella rommelaerei, Ladogella sp., Leiofusa sp., Leiosphaeridia sp., Lophosphaeridium sp., Lusatia? sp., Micrhystridium sp., Poikilofusa squama, Poikilofusa sp., Polygonium dentatum, Retisphaeridium brayense, Saharidia fragilis, Solisphaeridium akrochordum, S. lucidum, Timofeevia phosphoritica, Timofeevia microretis, Vulcanisphaera africana and V. turbata. The assemblage provides elements of comparison with previously reported palynofloras in northern Argentina, eastern Newfoundland, southwestern Sardinia, Algeria, northern Spain, Baltica and Avalonia (Arctic Russia, East-European Platform). All microphytoplancton are indicative of cold water affinities as expected from the western margin of Gondwana, showing some Baltic affinities as well.

Resumen
The design of shallow foundations is perhaps one of the most common requirements in professional practice of the geotechnical engineering, which has motivated the development of a significant number of experimental, theoretical and numerical investigations to date. Studies on the response of a shallow foundation begin with the proposal of the failure mechanism defined by Prandtl and used by Reissner in the twenties of the 20th century, followed by the formulation of the well-known polynomial equation of Terzaghi's bearing capacity in 1943. Based on the foregoing, works by pioneers in this line such as Meyerhof, Skempton, Vesic and Brinch Hansen, to highlight just a few, have maintained their validity to date at an academic and professional level, due to the practical nature of their proposals. However, the methodologies derived from them, indirectly consider that the foundation plan is composed of isolated elements, whose behavior is evaluated independently of the structuring and distribution of loads in the foundation, which may be far from the solicitations that are had in a project

Resumen
It is common for infrastructure projects to experience delays in their execution, when they occur in the construction of drinking water and sewerage projects, there is a delay in the access and availability of basic water and sanitation services for the population, which is why It is important to know the causes that produce them in order to take actions to reduce them. This article presents the results of an investigation carried out on the delays in the construction of potable water and sewerage systems in Ecuador, the actions taken to correct such delays, and the techniques, and construction planning and control tools used. For this purpose, a survey was conducted based on a questionnaire that required the perception of professionals who work in both public and private institutions in Ecuador, linked to construction activities, preparation of studies or inspection of drinking water projects and sewerage. It was identified that the main cause for the delays in these projects is the deficiency in the studies, the technical modifications and the increases in work quantities, that the term extensions is the measure mainly applied to correct the delays and that the Diagram Gantt Bar is the most widely used planning and control technique.

Resumen
The present study analyses the links between scribes from the city of Quito during theseventeenth century and the indigenous people that inhabited this major city and its surroundings. It delves into the nature of these links, their development, their consequences, and the forces that shaped them; analysing almost one hundred notary volumes anda thousand documents, among which are included the main typologies of notarial protocols.By studying the special connection between certain scribes and the indigenouspopulation in the city of Quito, it maintains that during the seventeenth century, a groupwas formed of scribes from Quito, who specialized in the republic of Indians, whosedefining characteristic was their use and their spreading of the local indigenous language(Quechua) in their notaries.
