This article explores the understanding of pedagogical experiences of 32 teachers from different cohorts during professional practicum. The results show an image of teaching as a human encounter, not only as a technical one, among subjects, contexts, and demands. It is understood as an activity endowed with complexity as a human task and a process that becomes visible within the practicum arena, which develops into a learning as well as a productive crisis source. The qualitative approach was adopted built on the interpretive case study modality; semi-structured interviews and a results discussion strategy based on content analysis were used. The research was conducted on the regional campus of a university, located 200 miles south of Santiago de Chile. The study opens up perspectives for dialogue within the regional context, having the potential to enrich Initial Teacher Training, by means of understanding that there are no ideal models of teachers regardless of the settings or performing frameworks that regulate teaching; this makes it necessary to tune in theoretical training models to the limits and possibilities presented by the teaching practice.

The fulfillment and social construction of the human identity is a permanent call to think over the theoretical basis that holds it, and the main goal of it. The present essay belongs to this kind of efforts. The objective of this research is just to achieve a theoretical approach to the meaning and influence of the identity construction of the value, for the nowadays education, under the struggling for the same social rights. This contribution lies on a grounded vision about education place while spreading the relation identity/difference, taking into account that the search for the same social rights is paramount to it. The reflexives notions are elaborated from the realities of all developing countries, in a century where the word suffers from a revolution in the field of technologies and where on the other hand flowers intolerance social fundamentalism. The main conclusion it is arrive at is that the search of equality in the difference, should be apriority for the social construction of identity, in it play an important role education.

In this paper we report a teaching activity that involves communication of sciences in an official high school of Buenos Aires (Argentina). Together with students from the first, second and fourth year, themes from biology and chemistry were related. A selection, review and integration of knowledge were made. Contents of pharmacology and microbiology, along with scientific data generated by some of us at the University of Buenos Aires and National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) were added. Interactive theoretical and practical classes were outlined in adaptation to the school laboratory and classrooms. The central topic included common infections in teenagers, such as those produced by fungi. The topic was then derived towards Candida albicans, its clinical relevance, diagnostic, observation by optic microscopy, treatment, etc. The emergence of microorganisms resistant to antimicrobials was raised in relation to its mechanisms, therapeutic importance and research on strategies to fight against it. Then some examples of recent scientific findings related to the reversion of Candida albicans resistance to azole-type medicaments were given. Among them, that produced by a flavonoid substance abbreviated as 6PP and extracted from the plant Dalea elegans, which growths in Argentina. School curricula was improved, with a novelty approach to real science related to medicine and biochemistry fields. Health care was promoted in the educative community.

The formation of Doctors of Philosophy is an important issue in universities. Several researchers have studied the multiple aspects related to this topic in different social and cultural contexts with valuable contributions such as competences, professional skills needed for students to develop their thesis, difficulties in academic writing, scientific and social impact of the results obtained and  the role of tutors and their previous formation. The evaluation of the quality of this formation has always been implicit in all these considerations from the vision of the professors, but the criteria of the graduates have hardly been considered. This situation is prevalent in the case of the doctorates in pedagogical sciences developed in Cuba. Thus, the objective of this article was to evaluate the quality of the teaching process of graduates in pedagogical sciences based on their personal evaluation with the intention of enhancing it with the graduates´ improvement proposals. Several methodological scientific procedures were proposed to self- assess the graduates in order to obtain objective, valuable, truthful, and pertinent information to be used immediately in the process of continuous improvement that the doctoral education demands to improve its quality.

The change in the dynamics of the national economy and its business environment require modifications in the educational models and methodologies compatible with an ongoing learning process based on the student towards the development of necessary generic competences for a good job performance.  This study aims at designing, implementing and systematizing debate experiences in course syllabuses for economics being updated following a student-centered educational model. . The activities were carried out at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Bio-Bio, Chile .Alternative versions of debates based on group characteristics and a specific a set of evaluation criteria were proposed. In addition, a protocol containing the phases of the activity, logistics and equipment use was developed. The results suggest that student motivation is a key factor for a successful debate when the formation of groups is intentional. This experience proves that it is possible to carry out debates in numerous courses defining alternative protocols and giving incentives based on rewards and penalties in the correct direction. It can also be concluded that activities must be conducted systematically throughout the training process. It is also necessary to foster the active participation of academics and explicitly specify the "debate" as a formal activity as part of the evaluation criteria in the  proposed -course syllabi.

This paper begins by presenting a background section on the term "formation" and proposing the following methodological objective: "To identify relevant elements for university faculty related to non-formal in-service training components, representing those elements using a scheme to show their articulation, all based on the analysis of empirical data". Another separate section is about conceptual referents, which explain how knowledge is supposed to be generated using Grounded Theory bases (Strauss & Corbin) along with "Articulated Reconstruction" proposed by Zemelman. The methodological section describes how the information was collected, mainly through semi-structured interviews with eight participants and two coordinators, distributed in three rounds over a period of 22 months. A later section presents results outlining the following six Ordering Concepts: Agency, Marketization, Proletarianization, Introjection, Resistance and Formative Processes. Examples are provided to illustrate each one as well as a scheme of relationships among them. Finally, in the concluding section, consequent considerations are presented in order to promote formative processes for university professors, such as respect for their diversity, counterbalance excess to Marketization and orientation towards formative autonomy. Alternatives to favor positive changes through specific practices in the classroom, guidelines for the organizational structure in universities, and a proposal to influence on the educational culture from the social function assigned to the universities are mentioned.

In the 80`s a new concept emerges in education -Twice Exceptionality- that refers to a paradox between a high ability and difficulty that impacts the development and learning of children and youngsters. This article presents a review of the main theoretical contributions in this field. The goal of this article is to contribute to the understanding of this subject, which has not been addressed in the Latin American context in the way  professionals linked to the educational field can consider and incorporate it to their pedagogical practices. A systematic search was conducted in several electronic databases and specialized journals in the field of giftedness, identifying cognitive and socio-affective variables based on the dual conditions of high ability with attention deficit disorder and high ability with autistic spectrum disorder. In addition, aspects related to the identification and educational supports were incorporated. The main research findings are related to the complexities for understanding both dual conditions, as well as the need for comprehensive identification and intervention processes that can recognize the unique characteristics for each condition. The main challenges are commented and discussed for identification and intervention purposes. The aspects that require further research are considered to make progress in the study of this subject. It is the responsibility of the education professionals to make visible and address the needs of this group of students who live with personal and social incomprehension in educational environments that do not recognize them and their characteristics.
