ABSTRACT The paper analyzes the presentation texts of cooperatives with media workers present in the Platform.Coop site, a world reference in platform cooperativism, with the aim of understanding what are their values and world views, with scope and limits. From discussions on the world of work in the area of communication, between individualization and collective forms of organization, the paper also aims to understand theoretically cooperative issues, especially in the area of communication, platform capitalism and platform cooperativism. The research, then, points out the contradictions in the statements of the initiatives of the platform cooperativism, involving adjustments to the prescriptions of the capitalist mode of production. Keywords: Cooperativism; Platform; Labour; Communication.

ABSTRACT Open Source Pharma (OSP) stands out as an innovative way to re-align pharmaceutical research with health needs, in particular to find solutions to poverty-related infectious diseases. OSP means open collaboration, to open access to data and other results, and open licenses for sharing and distribution of research outcomes. This paper provides an exploratory analysis of OSP current practices and business models, based on literature review and one in-depth interview with Matthew Todd, leader of the Open Source Malaria project. We claim that OSP may become a working and more promising alternative to traditional pharma as long as it is supported by public policy so as to fully emerge and visibilise its benefits. Keywords: Open Source Pharma; Poverty-related infectious diseases; open science; public health; drug discovery.

ABSTRACT This paper discusses the interlocution of the meanings that surround the relationship of communication among the areas of Information and Knowledge Organization, as well as studies about memory and the production of artworks via a social environment. It discusses, through a literature review, the bonds spread in the materiality of the registers of knowledge. It also describes their role as a memory document constructed based upon the public and personal impressions of the social individuals that allow the comprehension of the perspectives on which the communication between those concepts happen, opening a field for discussion and research. All things considered, the main spheres of meaning that bound both areas come from the possibility of the development of treatment mechanisms for the intellectual and artistic production. While the registers of information, the ones that are built with intrinsic memory values, are responsible for making the comprehension of the past, present and future possible, as well as the production of new understandings and the development of human knowledge. Keywords: Information Science; Information and Knowledge Organization; Memory; Art Production; Information in Arts.

(2016). In an explanatory, descriptive and exploratory research that uses the case study as a method, the confluences and co-influences between mediation and enunciation in archivistic 21 century are taken. An operational procedure to understand the phenomena of image in the fields of audiovisual media, information and communication technologies, and information science.Keyowrds: Found Footage Film; Information; Mediation; Reappropriation; YouTube.

ABSTRACT This paper objective is to represent the variation of collective knowledge generated in a given group. As knowledge is intangible, there is some difficulty in representing it and the process presented in this research makes possible its explanation. ABSTRACT With the publication in portuguese of Commonwealth, written by Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri (2016), The common: essay on revolution in the 21st Century, by Christian Laval and Pierre Dardot, and Caliban and the witch, de Silvia Federici, the theme of the commons returned to gain attention of researchers of the human and social sciences in Brazil. In this article, we recover an effort made by Sergio Amadeu da Silveira in 2007 when he published the article “The concept of commons in cyberculture”, and introduce different authors who are working with the concept of the commons, contributing to describe and locate part of the bibliography available on the subject, much of which is still unavailable in Portuguese. In the article, we deal with the work of authors such as Garret Hardin, Elinor Ostrom, David Bollier, Laval and Dardot, Hardt and Negri, Silvia Federici, Michel Bauwens, Silke Helfrich, Imre Simon, Miguel Said Vieira, Joan Subirats and César Rendueles, Yochai Benkler, Rafael Zanatta and Ugo Mattei, among others. Keywords: Commons; Collaboration; Neoliberalism; Human and Social Science; Contemporary Theory.

ABSTRACT In this article, we intend to reflect on the impacts caused by the introduction of digital manufacturing technologies in the context of peripheral countries, such as Brazil, through the international Maker Movement. To this end, some of the slogans most frequently used by the self-appointed makers are taken to identify their main theoretical inconsistencies, which have led to a little conscious design practice with respect to the complexity of the issues involving the political economy and the politics of knowledge implied in the theme. Keywords: Maker Movement; Digital Manufacturing; Emancipation; Empowerment; Popular Economy.

ABSTRACT Vuela aims to fight physical and digital segregation, which is partly explained by the lack of access to creating scientific and technological knowledge. We started in 2017 with a series of experiments and iterations, and today we focus on developing a toolkit to make open science with drones. Working with free technologies, we expect these tools to be created collaboratively and that they can be equally accessible to marginal communities, activists, or researchers. Keywords: Open Hardware; Free Software; Open Source; Chile; Argentina.
