ABSTRACT: The Industrial Revolution and the invention of the steam engine brought to man technological, political, economic and environmental changes, from which, for the latter, it is possible to highlight harmful aspects for social well-being. This is due to the recognition of the potential of natural resources for the human species, causing large-scale exploitation to increase immeasurable ecosystem damage, marking an era of environmental collapse, also called the Anthropocene. These results compelled the need to rethink the model of state management, since the excessive use of finite resources could (in) cause the extinction of the human race itself. In this perspective, this article presented the theme ecogovernmentality, starting from the ideal of Michael Foucault's referential with the main objective of achieving the influence of biopower in the search for environmental governance, with the utility of transmuting the global framework of climate change. To this end, the study used a qualitative, descriptive and explanatory approach to analyze the phenomenon of climate change; using bibliographic research to better support eco-government and the need to institute regulatory policies for better use and access to the environment, with a view to ensuring regulatory compliance on the subject and sustainable development.
