Based on the teaching and research experience, this is a proposal to take advantage of the figure and work of Ramon Llull to enter into various cultural assumptions, genealogical components and texts shared by medieval Romance letters, as well as into the Llullian contributions in favour of the internal dynamic of the medieval literary system.

One of the most important milestones reached by Ramon Llull’s Book of Contemplation or Llibre de contemplació en Déu consists in exposing the nuanced difference between «observing» and «contemplating». This tractate is considered to be the starting point of Llull’s prestigious mystical tradition, which was destined to have a deep impact in centuries to come. The present article focuses on the work’s mystical and symbolic value.

We analyze how, from the hand of moralizers and «theologians» related to Franciscanism at the end of the 13th and beginning of the 14 th Centuries, the first Humanism is formalized, as well as making a brief look at other artistic manifestations: Dante, according to Gozzoli’s frescoes, obviously also Llull, also in terms of the moralization of Matfré Ermengaud —who after a successful career as a doctor of laws, took the habit of Saint Francis and also his sister—, the Pisanos, with their Fontana Maggiore and their open knowledge to whoever knew look and see. We analyze how the Questione de la Lingua was already treated and solved in favor of the Romance languages by the troubadours in their works of ideas and knowledge from the beginning of 13 th Century, and by Llull. The troubadours are the explicit source of Alighieri in his De vulgari eloquentia and are essential elements of his conceptual development, key to the development of Humanism. In fact, Humanism is more about the «question of knowledge», of opening knowledge, of making it accessible, of being able, as Llull does in his Libre de Contemplació en Déu —LCD—, to make human and rationale the knowledge of God.

In this work a shallow wake-up call is made about Llull’s progressive attitude in the treatment of the female figure in the Llibre de Contemplació / Libro de Contemplación, to focus, below, with regard to the publication of the first edition in Spanish of the Book of Contemplation, in the analysis of the lexicon with which women are named in Catalan and Spanish: mare, fembra, dona, muller, filla, donzella; madre, hembra señora, dueña, mujer, esposa, doncella.Keywords: Llibre de Contemplació

We approach the figure of Avel·lí Artís i Balaguer, in his period of Mexican exile and in a double perspective. In the first one, we establish a canonical biography of the author, asking ourselves if with it a portrait of the exile can be configured as a literary matter, through the analysis of the documentation generated by different agents of the Spanish republican exile, the correspondence and memorial works of the exiles, and finally, through the different studies on exile that have been published in recent decades. And in a second direction, we carry out the analysis of their literary and essay produc tion corresponding to the stage that motivates the stud

From the analysis of syntax configuration types that shows the verb oír as predicate of noun clause in the current Galician language (oír + infinitive clause and oír + conjunctive clause), it is determined the frequency of use of each of them and it is established their syntax and semantics characteristics, as well as the relation that exists between the types of construction and the semantic value of its constituents. The empirical support used is a sample of eighty-two examples removed from the Corpus de Referencia do Galego Actual (CORGA), whose quantitative and qualitative study allows suggest some hypothesis about the type of construction more usual in the speech and the syntax, semantic and pragmatic factors that condition its structure.

As a historical overview, an analysis of picture books and narrative works originally written in Galician during the 2010-2019 decade and aimed at children is carried out. A classification of the most recurring and innovative topics dealt with in that period is offered. It is exemplified by those works that stand out for their literary and plastic quality, differentiating between picture books, in which verbal and visual language are combined, and illustrated stories and novels. Finally, it is concluded that there are recurrring themes, such as the recreation of oral narrative, realism, fantasy and mystery, and other new and innovative ones, such as feminism, transgender, menstruation, death, illnes, war and child abuse, along with got-leaning macabre humor.

Marc Granell is one of today’s most renowned Valencian poets. This study focuses on the civic and, above all, committed component of his poetry. The case for periodization is based on his ethical and poetical attitude towards the conflicts that he has known throughout his career and those, not having occurred contemporaneously, have impacted him due to the consequences in the present. This study contributes to assessing the evolution of the stimuli that have become for the author an essential spur for poetic creation.
