In this paper the study of transdisciplinarity is approached as a humanist strategy that seeks to rescue the ethical and moral values that have been lost throughout history due to the looting of wealth and the extermination of native peoples by the dominant countries. We emphasize that the instrumentation of disciplines and hyperdisciplines are knowledge resources to maintain this domain. In particular, the arts and social sciences find a place to participate in social processes by creating new artistic practices and influencing the common good of human beings.

This research aims to explore the underlying causes of school dropout in two bachelor’s degrees in language teaching at a public university in Mexico. Based on the ending efficiency analysis of 531 students enrolled in the two educational programs, the result of the initial phase of the project indicate that the majority of dropout cases are divided between the first two semesters and the degree period respectively, presenting an opportunity for improvement by supporting graduates in completing their degree work to complete their studies.

This research studied the use of evaluations in a Public Agricultural Research Center. An analysis of institutional documents was combined with an ethnographic approach to gain access to the information. It was identified that evaluations of the work of this institution had three purposes: to verify the quality of projects before their approval, to give an account of the academic outputs obtained, and to evaluate the performance of researchers. No evaluations were made to estimate the changes generated, or to provide feedback on the projects in order to improve them. The university to which the center belongs needs to reform its evaluation system, so that it measures the public value generated through agricultural research projects. In view of this, a proposal is presented.

The objective of this research is to evaluate a predictive model of the intention of university dropout, formed by variables that affect the social integration of students, during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, in Chilean university students. An associative-predictive design was used with 459 first-year students (67% men, 33% women) studying remotely, to whom a virtual survey was applied to measure the relationship between these variables and the intention of abandonment between May and June 2020. The sense of belonging, social isolation and perceived uncertainty were shown to be predictors, with uncertainty perceived as the greatest predictor of intention to abandon and temporarily stop studies. From these results it is possible to conclude the relevance of the social factors studied against the intention of abandonment and its predictive value in the particular conditions of the health situation.

The main objective is to design a procedure for analyzing the level of development of transversal competences in the practicum of four master's degrees. The competences showed in the practicum reports were analyzed and subsequently, a critical incident guiding questions were administered to the students, analyzing their experiences during the professional practice. The results showed that the practicum reports did not include enough information to evaluate the level of acquisition of transversal competences. Instead, the final designed rubric for teachers allowed evaluations to be more objective and accurate, reducing ambiguity and subjectivity.

This article builds the professional expectations category through the integration of its theoretical and practical foundations, whose purpose is to understand college students' behavior during their educational trajectories. To structure its meaning, we analyze empirical research and theoretical contributions from philosophical, sociological, and psychological perspectives. The construct was delimited to a sense of orientation of the students' choices in the school system, leading to a conclusion that job expectations are the condensation of possible paths of professional training and labor practice that are generated during the educational trajectory.

Once Argentina’s democracy was restored, the question of the university budget has been a central issue in the debate of public policies and for some governments it was a tool to "impose" University initiatives and policies decided by the Executive. Both doctrine and jurisprudence have held that the university autonomy objective, which the Constitution expressly recognizes in article 75 inc. 19, is to disassociate the university from its dependence on the Executive, but not from the regulatory power of the Legislature. Within the framework of the Argentine legal system, university autonomy is presented not only as a form of an allocation of competences but is a real guarantee against the National Executive Power whereby Congress must enact a law on autonomy of national universities. In this article, we make a proposal to build an institutional legal instrument by which the National Congress and the Universities themselves emerge at the center of the process of defining the university budget, exercising the powers and power that the constitution recognizes.
