This article shows the result of an investigation that analyzes which discursive connectors are used by students of basic education to justify their points of view and debate the opposite position as well as how they do it. The objective was to know the initial stage of their language ability to guide the design of teaching activities by doing applied research with new didactic strategies. In the diagnostic phase, a fictitious case was designed from a controversial and close situation to the students in order to get their opinion. 114 texts were evaluated with a control table that allowed us to compare how connectors are used by the students. Results indicate that the connectors most widely used were porque (because), para que (so that), pero (but), and por eso (that is why). At the same time, it was identified that non-conventional uses are in function because of lack of grammatical knowledge and not knowing about the subject matter which would allow students to construct pragmatically correct links between the sentences.

In the context of the economy of knowledge, scientific advances generated from biology and molecular genetics have contributed to the emergence of the sector of biotechnology. Knowing the intensity of this sector implies a methodological challenge due to the lack of common criteria in its characterization and intensity measure. The aim of this research proposal is to establish common elements found internationally and nationally to build a framework. Once identified, we focused our attention on the aquaculture sector of Baja California and using these criteria, we establish a characterization of the sector according to the classification of the firm as a user or developer of biotechnology, human resources, its link to public and private actors, and innovation. In addition, the sector’s intensity is established in terms of firm growth. Evidence reveals that the characteristics of Baja California’s aquaculture firms respond to the conceptual approach and the global dynamics of the biotechnology sector.

Within the context of Mexican auto parts export manufacturers, the objective of this work was to analyze the influence of the absorptive, innovation and agility capabilities on competitive advantage of associated companies of the supply chain. The methodology of this research was quantitative, cross sectional, correlational-causal, non-probabilistic and non-experimental. According to the results, there are virtuous relationships between the studied capabilities and competitive advantage. Due to the fact that there are few studies that inquire into the supply chain from the point of view of capabilities, and the fact that research on their links to competitive advantage is scarce, the findings in this work supply empirical evidence that adds to the current body of knowledge. The sample types and studied sector pose limitations. For this reason, it is recommended to replicate this work with a probabilistic research design, as well as perform further studies upon the proposed relationships in other contexts and sectors.

Innovation is now an international process that requires a global governance of knowledge which was established in 1994 with the signing of the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS). One of the aims of this new intellectual property system was to promote innovation as a result of the increase in collaborations and the disclosure of the patent system. The objective of this work was to determine if collaborations and knowledge flows increased in photovoltaic solar sector patents through Social Networks Analysis with co-authorship and citations: before (1976-1996) and after (1996-2016) the signing of the agreement. Results show that collaborations and knowledge flows increased mainly in countries with technological trajectories in the sector, both domestically and internationally.

Innovation in the public sector has been poorly addressed by studies on innovation and on public administration. On the basis of the evolution of the approach that has defined the problem, this article discusses, from a theoretical perspective, the concept of innovation in the public sector, comprising dimensions, its application, and differences regarding innovation in the private sector. Organizational characteristics and the nature of public services both compel us to think about innovation from a different perspective other than the one which occurs in industrial enterprises. Our goal is to propose a concept of innovation in public services considering different categories of analysis yet emphasizing two particular dimensions which are: the value of use and public value.

La presente investigación propone: Diseñar un producto agro-ecoturístico en la empresa Agropecuaria y Turística “A y T”, parroquia San Isidro, cantón Guano, como alternativa de desarrollo público-privada. El diagnóstico sistematizó la situación actual del territorio desde cinco ámbitos; Físico espacial, ecológicoterritorial, socio cultural, económico productivo y político administrativo, mediante la recopilación de información primaria y secundaria, se analizó el mercado de turistas nacionales y extranjeros. El inventario de atractivos turísticos identifica 5 atractivos correspondientes a la categoría sitios naturales y 5 atractivos de categoría manifestaciones culturales, siendo 5 los atractivos que alcanzan jerarquía II. De acuerdo al perfil del turista se diseñaron 3 paquetes que contemplan actividades turísticas y agroecológicas. En el estudio de impacto ambiental se obtuvieron mayoritariamente valores positivos. El estudio financiero determinó que la inversión inicial será de 259244,36 dando un VAN positivo de $ 309.532,02 USD y una relación C/B de $ 2,19, y el TIR es de 34 %. En el estudio administrativo–legal, se estructuró el manual de funcionamiento y manual de procedimientos para la prestación de servicios turísticos. Las estrategias de comercialización, difusión y publicidad serán directas al consumidor mediante redes sociales, páginas web, trípticos y tarjetas de presentación.

La presente investigación surgió ante la necesidad de evaluar el nivel de satisfacción laboral en los docentes universitarios, relacionada con la percepción de las condiciones del clima organizacional, para lo cual se desarrolló una metodología que mida dichas variables. Inicialmente se aplicó pruebas de fiabilidad y validez a los dos constructos determinándose una alta fiabilidad mediante el coeficiente alpha de cronbach (α = 0.970; 0,907 en su orden) y la validez de los constructos obtenida mediante la medida de adecuación muestral de KAISER-MEYER-OLKIN (KMO = 0,962; 0,939 respectivamente), producto de este análisis se determinó un reagrupamiento en nuevas dimensiones para cada variable. Además, se demostró que existe correlación entre el clima organizacional y la satisfacción laboral, por lo cual se propuso un modelo de senderos, que se presenta en forma de diagrama causal; finalmente, mediante la aplicación de un sistema de ecuaciones estructurales se obtuvo un sistema de cuatro ecuaciones, donde las variables endógenas son las dimensiones del constructo Satisfacción Laboral y las variables exógenas son las dimensiones del constructo Clima Organizacional.

Since the middle of the last century, the repercussions that the management of companies have on society, the economy and the environment; they have traced the course of social responsibility. This work has deepened the findings of several authors and important international organizations dedicated to guiding the planet towards a global awareness of sustainable management in all areas. It also analyzes the criteria and guidelines issued by the existing regulations that shape the legal and referential framework of sustainable management in the world in general and in the city of Quito in particular.

It is not an irrelevant fact to be in front of a poet and dramatist, a philosopher, theologian, priest and later Pontiff, for the wealth of his intellectual production, bequeathed to the contemporary world, is avant-garde and fully relevant today. As a guiding principle, two texts by the author are considered: Love and Responsibility (1960) and Person and Action (1969). Also, as a reference, it will be taken into account the work of Dr. Juan Manuel Burgos Velasco, founder and president of the Spanish Association of Personalism and the Ibero-American Association of Personalism.
