Resumen
The analysis of the suroriental border started from two stages: the mapping research, based on maps to obtain quantitative indicators that measure the current situation of the territory; and the investigation on-site described qualitatively the reality of the place. With the result of the territory analysis the following is questioned: What kind of factors and elements will take control at the moment of integrating the territory? And throughout this process, how could be improved and be able to strength their own characteristics? Intervention strategies were designed from the construction of transforming scenarios, through theoretical foundations and references of analogous cases that are related to the problems identified in the studied sector. With the structuring of the axes of action of each strategy, the articulation and integration of the territory was achieved respecting its configuration, whose development coexists with the use of tools towards sustainable growth, environmental balance and innovation. Thus, strengthening action policies that are based on the richness of nature. The strategies of the proposal, result of the analysis, were grouped into three axes of spatial action: green network, connection network and social capacitor network; by proposing intervention measures which include policies and regulations for action.

Resumen
Currently we are immersed in a phenomenon of drastic globalization that breaks boundaries, cultures and societies, generating consumers´ desires of personalization and appropriation towards different markets, this includes the spaces they habit. This desire should be an opportunity for small construction companies to protrude. However, due different factors that will be analyzed in this document, these companies have generated distrust and lack of credibility towards their clients. The objective of this article is to analyze management parameters, focused on the construction of personalized housing in Quito´s society. The positions of the market and the construction companies will be analyzed, in order to identify common elements that allow the loyalty of the clients towards the companies. At the end, it determinants that customer service must be considered as a tool focus to generate a unique product on his gender.

Resumen
This work explores the spatial transformations carried out by users in their homes in the southern sector of Quito, based on the premise that standardized collective housing sacrifices personalization and identification with space through the homogenization and real estate benefits of the project. The combination of methodologies of analysis, criticism and architectural projection, as well as the use of strategies for action research with a humanizing view of the process is based on the Ignatian Paradigm and the strategies of the interpreter architect of the Living Landscapes Laboratory of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. The three methodological phases of this proposal seek to register the reasons that lead the inhabitants of the Cumbres de Quitumbe complex to transform their domestic space. Based on a cartography of the transformations found, a series of design recommendations has been established for new collective housing projects that take into account the users and their imaginaries of living in order to generate flexible and adequate spaces for appropriation. The systematization of this methodology reflects the process followed and formally proposes these design strategies to encourage the conscious appropriation of collective housing despite being standardized and serialized.

Resumen
This study presents a quantitative approximation of the socio-spatial transformations of the urban expansion process on the rural territories of the six parish heads of the Los Chillos Valley Zonal Administration (AZCh) in the period 1974-2016. An evolution in the structure of the morphology of the parish headers is demonstrated and a comparative analysis of the rent of the soil versus the cost of the real soil and its functional factors in the territory is carried out. Under these premises, this research aims to quantify the magnitude of the phenomenon of urban expansion, considering the growth of urban sprawl, changes in morphology and competition between urban and agricultural spaces, and their effects on the cost of land, showing as a result the identification of territories in process of periurbanization that show the continuous transformations of rural spaces in urban areas. The methodology uses spatial analysis tools. It includes the application of remote sensing techniques, analysis of census plans and topographic charts, generation of urban land demand models (real estate capital), as well as a study of surplus value based on income and agricultural competitiveness and with the Use of Geographic Information Systems - GIS defined the patterns of change in land use.

Resumen
In the city of Quito there is a growth of its metropolitan area characteristic of Latin American cities, distancing urban functions from residential areas, increasing both physical and social contradictions. This study seeks to identify the patterns of distribution of urban poverty in the parish of Calderón, considering its process of urbanization and transformation from the phenomenon of the oil boom in Ecuador. It has been proposed to analyze the variables of urban habitability and spatial segregation, using cartography, aerial images and GIS, through which we can know the reality of the parish. The results show that the lack of planning in the population growth and the urban expansion of the parish have not facilitated the satisfaction of the needs and aspirations of the inhabitants. Concentration of living place in horizontal property forming islands within the urban space and centralization of the facilities and services of the parish on the main roads confirm this hypothesis. The conditions of habitability are related to the quality of life within the urban space, and still present important deficiencies. It should be mentioned that access to basic services (water, sewage, electricity) is practically guaranteed.

Resumen
Some relevant elements that architects use for integrate nature in the cities are green roofs and walls, these elements usually are considered part of the design building but, since they are alive, it’s important to consider some characteristics that usually aren’t needed with traditional building materials. This article will analyze the advantages and disadvantages that green roofs and walls offer in sociological, environmental, functional, energy and comfort aspects, by collecting and analyzing bibliographic information available in scientific articles, books, magazines, newspapers and web pages, etc. The study cases described allow a better glimpse of the consequences of the implementation of these systems, as well as the steps given for their successful policies and their state of development. Cities such as Toronto and Copenhagen will be analyzed, because their successfully policies that were implemented, have become an example in the development of green infrastructures, while cities such as Sydney, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Bogota are found in different states of progress towards their policies.

Resumen
This work aims is contribute to the reactivation of the tourist industry after Earthquake A16, of the province of Manabí, Ecuador. It is based on the analysis of the potentialities of the tourist destination and the study of marketing strategies carried out by local governments. The data collection techniques are: semi-structured interview and focus groups. The participants are officials representing management institutions of tourism development in the province of Manabí, university professors and professionals in the field of tourism, hospitality, marketing and communications supported by computer resources. The data collected is worked with the program Atlas.ti., Version 7. The results have allowed designing a Marketing Plan 2.0 through the use of multi-computer platforms, aimed at reactivating post-earthquake tourism A16. It is concluded that the technological means have a high communication potential that contributes significantly to the development and reactivation of productive sectors that have been affected by natural disasters.

Resumen
In recent times, the practice of architecture has been subject to changes and transformations. This development has been dependent on the use of digital tools as well as of specific software dedicated to the AEC (Architecture, Engineer and Construction) industry. Several countries have progressively implemented the use of BIM methodology in AEC making it compulsory. The intention of the development of National BIM Standards is to extend and to regulate the use of the methodology in all the construction processes. In order to establish a general view of the use of BIM across different regions, information published by both universities and the government have been thoroughly reviewed. The main purpose of this study is to contrast specific aspects of the academic qualifications within Ecuador in terms of the use of BIM methodology by comparing Ecuador’s standard to countries with a more advanced situation. The main contribution of this study is to state the necessity for the Schools of Architecture within Ecuador to review and update their teaching methodologies in order to ensure that the new professionals can achieve an acceptable level of understanding of these new technologies.

Resumen
The practice of urban design in contemporary cities should be considered as the result of the analysis of human behavior and the evaluation of spatial configurations in the urban environment. Namely, the design responses must consider the relationship between the urban morphology and the social dynamics that are present within the urban landscape. The study of the link between formal elements and users in the city is crucial; as a result, this research exposes a methodology for the analysis of public places through the correlation between patterns in morphology and human behavior in the city. This work presents a theoretical framework for typomorphology studies and relevant theories about human behavior, in order to determine an analysis methodology that establishes the relations between morphological characteristics and social patterns of behavior.
