Resumen
The primary aim of this paper is to analyze the scientific literature of soil water erosion research in Andalusia by means of bibliometric indicators. The period under consideration runs from 1964 to 2008, representing a total of 433 works published in international (135 references) and national (99) journals, national (83) and international (21) conferences proceedings, book chapters (54), books (18), doctoral thesis (16) and other documents (7). Bibliographic information was collected from Bib-Eron, a bibliographic database on soil erosion. The analysis was based on the scientific documents encoded in the database. Bibliometric indicators have been employed in order to establish the number of documents published by year of publication, distribution of documents by research topics, characteristics of contributions published in national and international journals, geographical distribution of scientific production, institutional affiliation of authors, institutional productivity and interinstitutional collaboration.

Resumen
A better knowledge of the territory facilitates an adequate management of it. Some areas belonging to the Mediterranean area show great diversity (natural, human, cultural, etc.), complexity and fragile equilibria. Providing a geographical delimitation that facilitates the study of such issues, especially those with cultural and patrimonial interest. The delimitation of the Ricote Valley, in the Region of Murcia, can contribute to a better management of such complexities, fragilities and diversities. Being such a delimitation the objective of this investigation, which can serve for future delimitations of similar territories. The geographic information of interest, obtained from different sources, according to their presence and qualification in different catalogs, is analyzed and valued. Surveys are also conducted to residents and non-residents, reinforcing this research as a whole. This procedure allows to advance in the delimitation of singular territories with cultural and patrimonial interest.

Resumen
This article aims to approach the current state of the haciendas in the Sevillian Aljarafe, considered today as patrimonial assets and as representative elements of the traditional rural landscape. From a previous inventory of 1981 and field work, it has been generated a database that integrates the basic information of each building: current permanence, environment, use, state of conservation, scientific and institutional recognition, and social valuation. After analyzing the results of this geographic inventory, we conclude that the haciendas have experienced a limited institutional attention despite its remarkable and emerging social value (for example as a place of events). This fact allows establishing links with other peri-urban areas with an important agrarian legacy.

Resumen
The adoption of mechanisms of participation and techniques for management and negotiated settlement of conflicts have become crucial in order to solve environmental “issues” (Monteiro et al., 2012; Mungai, M., 2008). Based on the struggles with Vale S.A. and the creation of the Serra do Gandarela National Park (PNSG), situated in the metropolitan area of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais (Brazil), we have studied the limits of the consensus paradigm in the standpoint of (neo) extractivism, taking into account the typology of participation by Pimbert, M. & Pretty, J. (1995). The work has been elaborated from official documentation, semi-structured interviews and the observation of events of participation and negotiations as Public Hearings, Public Consultations, Work Groups and Direct Negotiation Roundtables. We conclude that the adoption of such participatory and consensual mechanisms produces a delusion related to "participation" and "harmonization" of different interests. In addition, the settlements made along extensive negotiation processes proved to be inadequate and deliberately neglected, once again granting the mining companies with access and territorial control and the reproduction of its production space.

Resumen
It is not common practice to assess tourism’s effects on regional development, although its benefits for host economies are widely known. This paper attempts to discern such activity’s role in a geographic setting by applying structural analysis techniques based on social accounting matrices (SAMs). This methodological approach is applied to the case of Andalusia during the period 2010-2014, encompassing both the financial crisis period and the apparent resurgence. The research aims to reflect on the andalusian economy from the perspective of tourism and know its impacts on the regional territory. The proposed methodology is applied to a region where tourism became more prominent during the financial crisis. The results indicate that tourism’s significance in the host economy is due its own particular behaviour and also to the performance of other economic sectors during the study period. Tourism has shown considerable carry-over capacity in the territory, although challenges have arisen in employment, demand and technological density aspects. All of them should be addressed so that tourism can provide a sustainable support for regional development. Tourism sector’s appeared as a strategic sector, partly due to its specific performance, though also to the other sectors’ performance, either declining industries such as construction or with lighter presence, as in the case of industrial activities. Tourism has also shown itself to be a pro-cyclical sector, with landmarks. Yet the tourism sector has shown proven resilience and a considerable ability to foster economic development in the territory.

Resumen
This article analyses a methodological proposal for the delimitation of territorial areas applying a quasi-experimental strategy, comparing areas where projects have been developed based in urban regeneration called “experimental areas” with similar ones without any project, called “equivalent areas”. This methodology is a necessary previous step to analyze the effect of programs about urban regeneration, which will allow subsequently to compare the evolution of similar pairs among themselves (experimental and equivalent areas). Firstly, we explain the underlying objective of delimitation in these territorial areas. Secondly, the methodology used to select the equivalent areas is described. Thirdly, the results are presented, it means, the delimitation of experimental and equivalent areas. Finally, through means of specific statistical procedures, analysis of variance or ANOVA of a factor, the obtained results are validated. The work is focused on Andalusian cities with a population over 100.000 inhabitants in which urban regeneration projects have been implemented.

Resumen
The analysis and use of the interior space of the city is conditioned not only by economic and social factors, but also by the images or mental representations that people make of the places where they live or know through sources of information that exist. Mental imagery is influenced by the paths used in the journeys, the places that are frequented and the feelings of identification or rejection with the space object of daily use.We present the results of a significant sample of surveys (M = 215) and of the mental maps elaborated to know the perception of the city of Murcia by its inhabitants. Based on the results, proposals will be sought for improvement that contribute to the harmonious and sustainable growth of the city, correcting palpable deficiencies that may alter the quality of life in it.

Resumen
Flooding in the urban environment has long been a major concern for territorial actors as well as for the local population in the Great Nador region. It affects, in a recurring way, the main urban agglomerations and the peripheral zones which surround them. Due to high population growth, a trend towards urbanization and climate change, the causes of floods are changing, and their impacts are intensifying in this area. These phenomena constitute a major obstacle for development and threaten the populations, especially in the peripheral districts which are in rapid urban expansion. This article aims to analyze and inventory the economic, social and environmental consequences of the recent flood events in Nador, while explaining the elements of an integrated approach to flood risk management in urban areas.

Effects of Urban Expansion in the Choice of Commuting Modes by the Population of Metropolitan Areas.
Braçe, Olta
Editorial Universidad de Sevilla
Resumen
At present, urban expansion represents one of the major challenges that cities must resolve. The phenomenon of urban growth involves a spatial transformation that has been accompanied by negative effects such as extensive use of land, the excessive use of motorized means of transport, environmental impacts, increased costs or social segregation. Socio-spatial distances are accentuated and consequently increases the use of private vehicles and peoples spend more time in transportation. The rural landscape is placed by a monotonous landscape without great architectural values. The main objective of this study is to analyze the reasons and effects of urban expansion in the choice of the means of transport used by the population of the metropolitan area of Seville in their commuting. Through a descriptive analysis, it has been revealed as the population living in this space use motorized transport as the first and main option. Despite the existence of several bus lines and the construction of the subway as a public transport infrastructure of great capacity and quality, the percentage of population that uses public transport modes is quite limited.

Resumen
This paper explores the role of different types of limitations, diseases and health problems on both the probability of working and the probability of belonging to different groups (entrepreneurs, civil servants, other paid employees, unemployed, inactive individuals and students). To this end, we apply binary and multinomial non-ordered discrete choice models to microdata drawn from the 2014 European Health Interview Survey for Spain. Our main results show that the probability of having a job is lower for those individuals with mental limitations or health problems. When distinguishing between groups, we see that neither physical nor mental limitations affect the probability of being a civil servant.
