Resumen
We are witnessing the birth of the fourth industrial revolution, which is blurring the boundaries between the physical, digital, and biological spheres. It is transforming productive, economic, and commercial relations, to the point of radically changing the way we live, work, and relate to each other. It is not only changing what and how we do things, but also who we are. Numerous studies agree that the new scenario will require new competences not only of a technical and methodological nature but also and above all of a participatory and personal nature. Those “cross-sectional competences,” widely generalizable and transferable, required in different contexts and different activities, and which are apprehended through different experiences. Education is the most powerful tool that can be used to respond to the unavoidable need to update and improve the competences of an ever‑growing number of people and, additionally, all throughout their lives. An education that fosters learning or unlearning in order to relearn in the VUCA world. In this world, the guiding intervention that favors the clarification of personal possibilities with meaning is essential, so that every human being can become who they are, without being trapped in cognitive, procedural, and attitudinal patterns of the past.

Resumen
Anglo-Saxon poetry may seem quite distant to English language learners; however, it all depends on the purpose for which it is used in the classroom. In the activity described in this article, students are asked to listen carefully to the sound of spoken words, and then apply two powerful patterns of discourse in their writing: alliteration and alternation; this after reading and debating examples. Created by intuition and need, and developed through trial and error, Anglo-Saxon Advertising quickly became a cornerstone of the introductory British literature course for university students of English as a second language (ESL). As a further part of the process of applying this teaching tool, it was found that this type of classroom activity is supported by current international research on the didactics of English as a second language (Boers, Lindstromberg & Eyckmans, 2012; Eyckmans & Lindstromberg, 2017). In retrospect, the use of stimulating traditional literature in an English as a Second Language teaching environment raises fundamental questions about the importance of creativity in the classroom (Tsui, 2003), the need for a contemporary curriculum (Xie, 2014), the combination of language and literature (Zitlow, 2004), and the use of multiple modes of instruction (Traore & Kyei-Blankson, 2011)...

Resumen
The objective was to find out the degree to which the pre-exam coping strategies (PECS) influence the Test Anxiety (TA) – State (TA-State) in psychology students in order to obtain convergent and discriminating evidence from the TAI-State. The study included 156 psychology students (115 women) from a private university in Metropolitan Lima, ages ranging from 18 to 42 (M = 22.51). The instruments used were: Test Anxiety Inventory-State (TAI-State) and the Coping with Pre-Exam Anxiety and Uncertainty-Brief (COPEAU-B), which evaluates four strategies. A confirmatory factor analysis was used to verify reliability and validity; while structural equation models were used to assess the research model. After the structural regression analysis, the PECSs explain 13.3% of the variance of the TA-State, with task-oriented and search for social support for instrumental reasons strategies as the most influential (β = -.212 and β = .320). The theoretical and practical implications of the study are discussed.

Resumen
The purpose of this study was to provide evidence of validity and reliability for the Barnes and Olson’s (1982) Parent-Adolescent Communication Scale among university students from Lima, aged 16 to 25. Participants were 255 students (162 females) from two universities. An exploratory factor analysis was performed to assess the viability of bi-factor and tri-factor structures. This exploratory factor analysis supported the two-factor structure originally proposed for this instrument (open communication and problem communication). Both in the father-adolescent and in the mother-adolescent version, obtained Cronbach’s alpha values were high (ranging between .80 and .90). The structural model also showed good fit indexes. This confirms the reliability and validity of this instrument in the sample under study.

Resumen
This article describes a university experience whose objectives were (a) to define the digital competences of professors, (b) to state how they use Information and Communications Technology (ITC), and (c) to know their perceptions on the importance of facilitating this type of competences in the students. Through the CODIPES questionnaire, a total of 53 professors from the Social and Legal Sciences area of the University of Malaga (2016/2017 academic year) were assessed. Among the conclusions obtained from this study, we underscore the importance given to ICTs in training and their consideration as such in the teaching and learning processes, pointing out several factors that have a bearing on their use, such as lack of time or resources, the individual's ideas, or lack of information.
