Resumen
Objective: To determine the factors in adherence to physiotherapy treatment in a Peruvian rehabilitation institute. Material and methods: The cross-sectional descriptive-correlational study was carried out on a sample of 110 patients treated at the Department of the Motor Unit and Pain of the National Institute of Rehabilitation. A probabilistic sampling and a survey were applied, with an instrument made up of 20 questions to determine intrinsic and extrinsic factors to treatment adherence, whose reliability was 0.814, according to Cronbach's alpha. Results: 49.1 % are female and are adherent to physiotherapy treatment. Likewise, the intrinsic and extrinsic factors are related to physiotherapy adherence in treated patients. Conclusion: Adherence to treatment does not have to do only with the physiotherapist, but also with any other professional; understanding the real, sincere and honest commitment of the patient, and considering the advice of the physiotherapist.

Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis, is one of the most controversial and influential characters of the twentieth century. Therefore, the impact of their controversial and revolutionary ideas transcends to this day, not just in the various professional schools of Psychology in Peru and the world, but in everyday life. His theoretical contributions expanded the knowledge of the psychological problems of man and transcended each of the spheres of human knowledge and work. Therefore, terms such as unconscious, repression, transfer, defense mechanism, etc., are found in the popular vocabulary. Even many people are convinced that psychoanalysis is synonymous with psychology. Psychoanalysis in addition to a psychotherapeutic current, for many people, has become a form and philosophy of life. However, the origin of psychotherapy is unknown, a problem that in this article intends to analyze.

Resumen
With a higher prevalence rate reported in males and a diagnosis occurring during the fifth decade of life, hepatocellular carcinoma is the highest mortality and most common liver malignancy. Hepatitis B and C virus infections, alcohol consumption, and metabolic diseases have been associated with an increased risk of developing hepatocarcinoma. The aim of this study is to describe the incidence rate of the disease, the seroprevalence of Hepatitis, hepatic impairment at diagnosis, and the overall survival rate in the main reference hospitals of the Social Security Healthcare System. A total of 518 patients were identified during the study period, 52 new diagnoses per year on average, and an incidence of 1. 21 cases per 100, 000 inhabitants. Diagnostic confirmation was carried out mainly by hepatic biopsy and patients had a mean age of 64. 2 years at the time of diagnosis. This tumor presented a predominant distribution in males, and a prevalence of Hepatitis B and C of 15. 4% and 5. 3% respectively, without sex association. In 55. 9% of the cases, a Child-Pugh stage A was recorded at the time of the initial evaluation and the overall survival rate at 5 years was 19. 5%. Overall, the population analyzed in this study shows similar characteristics to data reported worldwide. The difference described regarding the age of confirmation with respect to other western countries could be related to an earlier diagnosis in these populations. Likewise, the low prevalence reported for Hepatitis infections would suggest a non-endemic geographical area, and the implementation of accessible vaccination programs for Hepatitis B.

Resumen
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it a pandemic by the COVID-19 disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 microorganism. The lack of treatments against this disease has led to the use of complementary therapies not approved by the Costa Rican population, to face it, which is a problem for public health. The objective of this study was to establish the opinion of the Costa Rican adult population on the use of complementary therapies not approved for the treatment of the COVID-19 disease, for which, an investigation with a two-way approach was developed. It was determined that 64 % of the population knows the existence of unauthorized complementary therapies against COVID-19, the best-known being chlorine dioxide. In addition, 78% of the people surveyed would not be willing to use them, and the main reason for this is that they do not consider them effective. In addition, after an interview with a person who has used chlorine dioxide as a prevention against COVID-19, it was possible to know the motivations he had for doing so and his experience in its use, revealing a deep root of the interviewee with the supposed effectiveness of the therapy. As a conclusion, it was possible to establish that the Costa Rican adult population has a mostly unfavorable opinion about the use of non-approved therapies for the treatment of this disease, however there are still people who trust them and use them despite not being approved.

Resumen
COVID-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. With the explosive increase in confirmed cases, the World Health Organization declared this outbreak as a public health emergency of international concern on January 30, 2020, and as a pandemic on March 11 of that same year. Since then, research has been conducted to find valuable drugs against this pathogen. An example is monoclonal antibodies, a powerful tool for treating various conditions like cancer, cancer, autoimmune, neuronal, infectious, and metabolic diseases. In a short time, some showed encouraging results in improving patients' clinical symptoms with this pathology. Various act directly against the virus and others through pharmacological mechanisms associated with its pathophysiology. Its use represents an alternative to reduce hospitalizations and deaths from the infection. There is currently one fully approved (casirivimab and imdevimab, administered together) and three approved for emergency use (bamlanivimab plus etesevimab, administered together; sotrovimab, and tocilizumab) by the US Food and Drug Administration. However, the development of more clinical studies is essential to demonstrate its efficacy and safety in various populations and the study of new molecules.

Low back pain is characterized by signs and symptoms such as pain, muscle weakness or contracture, stiffness of the nearby biomechanical area and, sometimes, it can cause irradiation of discomfort to other structures. This multiplicity of annoyances usually generates a difficulty for the clinical diagnosis and therefore for the clinical process since there are discrepancies in the care. Taking the foregoing into consideration, the objective of this research was to compare the diagnostic process of the population with non-specific low back pain treated at the Assistance Teaching Center of the Department of Physical Therapy (CeDAFi) of the School of Health Technologies of the University of Costa Rica. Taking as a reference the criteria established by the Dutch Association for Physical Therapy. The results obtained indicate that there is a significant gap between the information collected and the guidelines established by the Association. Particularly, the diagnostic phase is oriented to the collection of data related to the disease and has little relationship with the functionality paradigm, which leaves aside information about movement, limited activities and the person's psychosocial context. Therefore, despite the fact that an adequate filling of the files was observed, there were key aspects of the clinical history and the examination that were absent, which constitutes an important opportunity for improvement for the entire process of physiotherapeutic care as such.
